Pete Dowson
i am running fsx with fsuipc 4.53 and are using wilcos vol2 airbus ... alt,v/s dont do nothingthis is not done through fsuipc and i whant to ask can i make theys work with fsuipc and how is that done? Sorry, I don't know. But the answer would not be specific to your GoFlight controls, it would apply to any sort of button or key assignment. If that add-on provides keyboard short-cuts for manipulating the Altitude and V/S values, then you could assign to those. Or else you might find the FSUIPC mouse macro facility is able to operate on the panel dials, and therefore be used for FSUIPC assignments. Finally, if both of those fail, you might, just, be able to do it via L-var access in a Lua plug-in program. But that gets complicated. and a nothe qestion is can i get my vrinsight to work with wilco through fsuipc? FSUIPC is not different just because you use different items of hardware. I understand that the VRInsight units send keypresses instead of joystick button presses, so it means that you are assigning in a different FSUIPC options tab, but otherwise the problem is the same -- i.e. does the add-on you are trying to use provide any means for you to control it other than by mouse? I can't answer that question. I don't have any Wilco aircradft, and in general I cannot be expected to have every add-on with which folks might want to use FSUIPC. You may find more help in other threads here -- search on "Wilco" and "Airbus", see what you come up with. But mainly what you need is more information on your Wilco aircraft. It should come with documentation telling you alternative ways of controlling it -- i.e. keyboard shortcuts rather than mouse clicks. spiro
dear m Dowson i was told to use the macro function in fsuipc for the rotary encorders to handel alt and v/s but i got w7 ultimate 64bit for my pc and redownloaded fscuip 4.53 and re registed but once i whent to do the macro programming it is missing i had seen it when i was using xp but with w7 it is not in the button section nor anywere in fsuipc have i done somthing wrong???? what do i have to do to get it back???? kind regards spiro

I use Win7 Ultimate 64 bit version, and there is absolutely no difference for FSUIPC at all. Are you possibly seeing that the centre parts of the options pages don't fit the outer part, that they are too big? That the Fonts inside are larger than the fonts in the Tabs? If so, that's not specifically a Win7 problem but a long term but rare problem affecting a few users and starting with WinXP. It is fixed in the latest incremental updates. Please get the latest version from the Updates Announcement at the top of this Forum. Regards Pete

It is not a "Goodie" you are "inserting into FSUIPC", it is a LATER VERSION of FSUIPC4 with the problem corrected. You download the updated FSUIPC4 by clicking on the link, then unzip it into your FSX Modules folder! Pete

Pete Dowson
hello andy thanks for the info but i do not see mouse macro any were you have sent mewhen i had xp i did see it and use it but know with w7 it is not there I already asked you if it looks like the text in the options windows is too big and causing the inner windows to be too big for the outer options window, the one with the Tabs. All the tabs would be there but part of the options window would not be accessible because it won't fit. You didn't bother to answer that question, but if this is indeed what you are seeing then the answer is to download and install the Update as I advised. If that isn't the problem you are seeing then all I can say is that your Windows system must be behaving in a very strange way, to selectively remove buttons from a program file! Pete Dowson
dear m Dawson i know i am getting on you nurves and i am very sorry about that but i have done what you say and and it has not changed at all Show me two things: 1. The FSUIPC4.LOG file, which you will find in the FSX Modules folder. It is a text file, you can paste it into a message here. 2. Capture a picture (ALT+Print Screen) of the options page on which you cannot find the button you want, and attach it to your message, so i can see what it is that concerns you so. so i know i am douing it right can you please put a link on this thread What item in the Announcement are you clicking, and why are you unsure it is correct? I'd rather understand why you cannot understand the list of downloadable parts on the Updates announcement, so I can improve the layout if necessary. Pete Dowson
hello again i install from the main page http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html the fsx fsuipc4.53and extract to the moduels folder and i have also instal the PFCFSX driver version 4.353 for FSX and ESP http://fsuipc.simflight.com/beta/pfcfsx4353.zip Why are you installing the PFC driver? Do you have PFC equipment as well as GoFlight? If you don't have any PFC devices, connected via serial port connections, then you certainly do not want that installed. from the main programs on the update page when i did install the main fsuipc i was asked to over write and i agreed to over write mybe i should delet all mthat is in the moduels mfile and download again i dont know! No, do not delete everything. Just consider whether you have PFC equipment needing the PFC driver, and if not, then delete PFCFSX.DLL from your FSX Modules folder. Then download the FSUIPC4 update fronm the Updates announcement, and copy the DLL from than into your FSX Modules folder, overwriting the version 4.53 version. This is what i have asked you to do several times now, and Andy has even provided you with a direct link, as i see now. Please notice that the name "FSUIPC4" is not really the same as the name "PFCFSX". Do you see that? If fact they don't even look remotely similar! Pete Dowson
Reading options from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules\FSUIPC4.ini"... Er .. why have you removed the crucial line, the first line, which proves to me which version of FSUIPC you are using? By deleting that you've rendered the file you posted almost useless... except for one important thing: NOTE: SimConnect Acc/SP2 Oct07 is supported, but it isn't installed.NOTE: SimConnect SP1 May07 is supported, but it isn't installed. You are running FSX with no updates, the base version with none of the bugs fixed. I'd advise you to download the SP1 and SP2 updates and apply them, one at a time (run FSX in between), to get your FSX up to date and fixed. The reason you have no "Mouse Macro Creation" buttons is stated quite clearly in the User Guide -- the very first lines in the Mouse Macro section, which state: NOTE: These facilities need FSX with at least the SP1 update incorporated. Macro files should work with the original version of FSX, but the easy user macro creation facilities will not be available. Additionally, it looks like it's either a faulty FSX install in the first place, or your frame rates are so low that Simconnect and FSUIPC are simply not communicating. These errors show this -- every 3 seconds because no data whatsoever is arriving! 84864 **** SimConnect Data Stalled! Re-connecting now**** And this proves it: Average frame rate for running time of 423 secs = 9.4 fps That's a really atrocious average frame rate. You need to turn down most of your FSX settings in order to get something flyable! Finally, you've deleted the last line too! That tells me things as well. Please do NOT edit the file and delete important lines! Pete

And could you possibly, please use separate sentences (use the full stop '.' and spaces) and perhaps new paragraphs (new lines) now and then? Whilst I can understand that you cannot spell English well, you surely know how to make sentences and paragraphs? It would make talking with you far easier. It is very laborious trying to extract any meaning from what you write! would you like me to seend a log of fsuipc? No, not yet. Just explain yourself more first. I cannot picture what you are doing. also wilco has got a key assigment configuration ready it is with ctr-num1 and so one could i program my rotary with that off set?? can it be done and with witch option? Sorry, I don't understand a word of that. You seem to be mixing up key assignments with FSUIPC offsets? Why are you introducing offsets? If you simply want to assign a keystroke to a button, just do so. The facility is there in front of you, on the left-hand side of the Buttons & Switches tab. Have you looked? spiro
hello M dowson My probleme is "fsx freezing onece i tryed to programe mouse macro" I found the probleme of fsx freezing, I had changed the fsx alllication to (compatibility mode-run program as win xpsevice pack 3) and(PRIVILEGE LEVEL-Run this program as an administrator. I had done this when i was trying to ge my GF moduel to work, but i changed the settings to what they were and all is ok, both are working with out crashing fsx and i have full useage of mouse macro with no probleme. Thanks again and sorry about the spelling,I was all day infront of the pc    . The add on i am using is WILCO AIRBUS VOL2,it has its own key configurator witch has a key combination ready for use, for exampel if i press CTR+Num 1 it will move one click of the FCUs speed knob down, and if i press CTR+NUM2 it will move one click of the FCUs speed knob up. These are rotary encorders my qestion is "How can i make use of WILCOs ready key combinations,to get my GF rortary encorders to do this function, using FSUIPC" I hope you can understand my qestion and what i whant to do through FSUIPC Thanks again regards spiro

The facility is there in front of you, on the left-hand side of the Buttons & Switches tab. Have you looked? Please do browse through the documentation some time. It is all explained for you. You can assign FS controls OR keystrokes to any buttons, knobs, whatever. There is no problem, you only have to look. I don't know how you manage to use the "mouse macro" facilities, which are much more complicated, yet ask questions like how to assign a keystroke? What is it you don't understand?
