I have the Saitek yoke and operate FSX with registered FSUIPC. I have tried to program, using FSUIPC, the red button (on the top of the right horn of the yoke) to function as an autupilot disconnect button, but with no success. I have tried using the 'Z' keypress function via the left side of the FSUIPC page, as well as the 'autopilot off' selection via the right side of the page. Neither works for me. :(

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers, John

Just check in FSX that you haven't the same button assigned in FSX the same as in FSUIPC or to another function.

Quite frankly you would be better setting the button FSX as there is no advantage setting it in FSUIPC4 (unless you have disabled the joysticks - in which case my answer above does not apply). :D

What aircraft is this with? If you are using an add-on with its own Autopilot then neither the Autopilot Off control nor Z will work. You need to use whatever it is that the add-on aircraft needs to see.

Hello everyone posting.

I have tried the red button assigned on my PMDG B747-400X, as well as the FSX default Cessna 172SP and the FSX default Beechcraft Baron 58.

I shall keep trying all suggestions and let you know which, if any, works.

Cheers all :?

:D :D :D

Didn't do anything, honest!

Just went back to both the PMDG B747-400X, and then the FSX Beech Baron 58, and guess what? The autopilot disconnect works thru' the red yoke button every time.

Never did understand computers, mumble, mumble .............
