Roger C Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 DOH! I had my CH Yoke buttons 8 and 9 set to cycle the view modes (8 advanced the view COCKPIT/VC/TOWER/SPOT and 9 cycled backwards of that) and had to cancel them to make some adjustments. Now I cannot get them back. I tried programming the buttons via 'Select as FS Control' as 8-New View 9-Previous View but this does not have any effect and now I am at a loss as to how to make it happen. Thanks,

There are several different controls in this area which do different things. And they are different for FS9 and before and FSX. Without knowing any more about what you are using or wanting to really do I can't help. What version of FS, and what keypresses do what you want? Pete
Andydigital Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 Just program the buttons to send key presses. "S" and "Shift + S" is what you require I think as this changes view categories. "A" and "Shift + A" changes to different views within a category.
Pete Dowson Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 "S" and "Shift + S" is what you require I think as this changes view categories. They are "View mode" and "View mode rev" controls. Generally it is more efficient to program controls directly. "A" and "Shift + A" changes to different views within a category. "Next Sub view" and "Prev sub view". That's FSX . don't know about FS9, it's not the same I think. Regards Pete
Andydigital Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 That probably true Pete but I doubt it would make much difference with views, its not like the user would be furiously changing views 10's of times a second. Least the OP knows what to look for now anyway
Roger C Posted April 18, 2010 Author Report Posted April 18, 2010 Thanks for the help...I had meant to say that this was for FS9 but forgot to include that fact.
