XML.DLL Help

Recommended Posts

HI everyone.

I have the registered latest version of FSUPIC. I purchased and installed "Fly the Maddog" for FSX. I have a peculiar problem.

I can EITHER have the Maddog in the addons menu OR FSCopilot when I manipulate my XML.DLL file, but not both!

Does anyone have any ideas?

I run FSX on the E drive so it's (E:\FSX)

Thanks in advance for any help. (I've attached the file as well)

Of course. My apologies. It is 4.853.

Also I noticed that FSInn (edited. replaced the word "FSinn" from "Simconnect") no longer autostarts which may not mean anything if the .dll can't run...

Thanks.

Not sure why you post here, as this is nothing to do with FSUIPC -- neither of those programs use FSUIPC at all as far as I'm aware.

Your XML.DLL looks fine. I can only think that there's some conflict between the MadDog DLL and FSCopilot. Maybe you can swap them over in the DLL so that FSCopilot loads before MadDog? Otherwise I think you need support from one or the other. You might want to get a SimConnect log file as this may help them work it out -- there's a thread in the FAQ subforum here which tells you how.

Pete

Thank you.

The reason I posted here as I spent HOURS trying to get both to function. As Leanardo and FSCopliot appear in the "Modules" folder I thought here would be a good place to check. (Especially since moving files above and below FSUIPC allowed one of the modules to work).

Thank you for checking the .dll and I'll continue to search for a problem fix.

Thanks again.

I can only repeat my suggestions -- try different orders of loading, and check the SimConnect log -- there may well be an explanatory error message in there.

Thank you again for the very fast reply.

The output was as follows: (I did not see FSUIPC process the Leanardo dll or the FScopliot. But with my total lack of knowledge they made not need to be touched by FSUIPC)

I'll heed your advice and take the above to a different venue. If all else fails perhaps a reinstall of SimConnect as I have no idea how to proceed.

Best Regards

You are rather confused. FSUIPC has nothing whatsoever to do with any of your other DLLs. The DLL.XML file is processed by SimConnect, which is nothing to do with FSUIPC but is part of FSX. And you can see that the Mad Dog DLL has indeed been loaded by SimConnect, here:

3.19970 DLL Loaded: Path="E:\FSX\Modules\LeonardoSH.dll" Version="<Unknown>"

I'm afraid you are posting in the wrong place. Whichever of your programs is not working, please try ther own support. And send them the Log -- there may be an error reported later in the log when Mad Dog tries to create its menu entry.

I can only really support my own programs. I do not own or use either Mad Dog or FSCopilot / FSInn.

Pete
