mlf081161 Posted July 10, 2013 Report Posted July 10, 2013 Dear Experts, I am building a cockpit based on FSX-PDMG 737 -FSUICP-Pokey 56 E IO card and as control program FS Symphony. My Leds are working fine ( not all but a few of them. My switches are not working at all!! It seems that FSUICP does not read the commands which my pokey card sent to FSX/FSUICP ( I read on different forums) that you need to configure FSUICP with PMDG offsets to get it working! My problem and question is : how do I configure my FSUICP with the PDMG offsets ( offsets I have found in the FSUICP files). And when I did this will the switches work? Or is there another way to do this properly ( with pokey 56 E card)? Thanks in advance for your answers best regards Michel
alaxus Posted July 12, 2013 Report Posted July 12, 2013 Your issue lies with FS Symphony, as it is FS Symphony that writes to FSUIPC offsets so the PMDG offsets need to be set in FS Symphony rather than in the FSUIPC window in fs. Your question really need to be address to the creator of FS Symphony rather than here. Have you read the the setup document? http://www.flying-the-winglets.de/Downloads/Symphony15.pdf Upon reading the document I cant find any reference to the PMDG offsets. There may be a way to add them, but again that would be a question for the creator of FS Symphony.
Pete Dowson Posted July 12, 2013 Report Posted July 12, 2013 ( I read on different forums) that you need to configure FSUICP with PMDG offsets to get it working! My problem and question is : how do I configure my FSUICP with the PDMG offsets ( offsets I have found in the FSUICP files). The PMDG 737NGX provides data which FSUIPC does make available through a set of offsets, but ALL of that data is READ ONLY. It is the values for displays and so on. There are NO offsets available to send switch changes or other settings TO the NGX, none at all. The whole of the NGX control input is via special controls which are documented in the PMDG SDK documents (particularly the.h file). FSUIPC allows the assignment of those specifial controls, by number, to buttons and keys. Pete
ckovoor Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 Hello Michel (and others who might be interested in using Pokeys 56E/57E with FSSymphony to read PMDG 737NGX offsets), I wonder if anyone has made progress with this, that they might like to share, especially now that v2.0 of FSSymphony introduces an Expert Mode where this might be possible? Thank you for your attention! Chakko.
Delphi Posted November 9, 2014 Report Posted November 9, 2014 FSSymphony V2.0 does not offer any native support for PMDG. If their are any PMDG offsets made available by FSUIPC you can assign them to Pokeys 56/57E via FSSymphony V2.0 expert mode. I can not give any support for PMDG issues because I do not have this add-on available for implementation and test purposes. FSSymphony is freeware and will be freeware in the future, adding PMDG support will make it necessary to buy this add-on and invest time to get it running. If I have left over money and time I might implement PMDG support. However, I can not promise that and for the time beeing I publish as FSSymphony what I use in my own flight simulator environment.
