timmo73 Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 I can't figure this out but I've been having auto throttle problems in FSX. I have an unregistered FSUIPC and I don't know what's causing the auto throttle race all of a sudden. It won't hold the speed. It will work one second and not the next. I'm just trying to figure it out.

Not sure why you are posting this here, but whilst an unregistered FSUIPC can't do anything about it, you can still use its Logging tab to see what is going on if you think it might be control interference. But a normal and expected cause of throttle racing is wind or cloud turbulence. If the airspeed is varying a lot because of rapid wind changes, the A/T will be trying to compensate. Pete
timmo73 Posted February 13, 2014 Author Report Posted February 13, 2014 The autothrottle wil race fast all of a sudden. No turbulence or even wind. I just can't figure it out. It's acting crazy!
shortspecialbus Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 What aircraft? What joysticks? -stefan
timmo73 Posted February 24, 2014 Author Report Posted February 24, 2014 I use Logitech 3D extreme joystick. It happens with any aircraft. I have windows 7 home premium 64 bit. I have fsdreamteam airports. I just can't figure out why the auto throttle acts like that.
popejose Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 A shot in the dark here. Pitot heat maybe? /jl
timmo73 Posted February 26, 2014 Author Report Posted February 26, 2014 Nope, it's not that it's off. When I delete FSUIPC it works fine. How can I fix this?
Graham Pollitt Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 Nope, it's not that it's off. If anything it should be on to prevent the airspeed misreads depending upon icing etc. Not saying it may be the cause of your problems but off is bad compared to it being on.
Graham Pollitt Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 When I delete FSUIPC it works fine. How can I fix this? You mean remove the dll from the modules folder? Soumds to me like a possible axis conflict but it can't be if you are using an unregistered copy as you wouldn't be able to assign and calibrate etc
timmo73 Posted February 27, 2014 Author Report Posted February 27, 2014 I was also using FSrealwx as my weather. Could that cause the problem? I have FSdreamteam scenery. I've just done a clean install of windows home premium 7 64 bit and installed FS Gold for the first time into the desktop. Just can't understand what the problem is with the auto throttle. The auto throttle will race at maximum speed randomly after takeoff, mid flight, and during landing. Pitot heat is off. I just don't get what the problem is. I'll try it without FSrealwx. Right now, I took FSUIPC out. I want to see if it does it without it. Then when I choose another aircraft it will be fine and then do the same thing all over again no matter what I use.
Graham Pollitt Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Did you look in the log file as Pete suggested above? The answer could lie within!
