Denham_Flyer
Hi Pete. I've recently been unable to run FSUIPC in FSX. It runs fine in P3D. I have the latest P3D V2.3 version installed. This started happening after I ran the A2A Simulations service checker (it checks whether all your A2A addons are up to date). Any idea how to fix please? It looks like your installation, whether it be FSX or P3D, is in a mess. Is there a Prepar3D.exe file in E:|FSX? That would probably do it! Maybe the FSUIPC install log will show what has happened. All I can see from the FSUIPC log is that everything is wrong. If the A2A service checker has made this mess I suggest you report back to them how dangerously corruptive it is! Andydigital
My money is on that the Estonia Migration tool has caused this because it has been left in FSX virtual mode. It's got nothing to do with the A2A tool which has been natively written to work with both FSX and P3D. If the user is trying to use the migration tool to get the FSX version of the A2A aircraft working in P3D then you will have problems as that is not allowed or supported for the C172 and Piper Cherokee. Denham_Flyer
OK I think I know what has caused the problem. I put a copy of my fsx.exe file into the P3D folder so I could migrate some FSX addons across to P3D. I forgot to remove the false fsx.exe file before installing the new FSUIPC module. Twit. I don't have the Estonian migration tool. Yet. Maybe I should get that rather than trying silly stuff myself. I have now removed the false fsx.exe from the P3D folder. Tried again. Same issue. Maybe there's an incorrect registry entry confusing FSUIPC now? FSUIPC works fine in P3D but FSX won't load and crashes to desktop. Any ideas for a fix? I can see multiple registry entries for FSUIPC most are for HiFi Sim (presumably my ASN installation?) Below is my install log.
