Could you be a bit more specific with at least a couple of examples of what you wish to do? Certainly the use of Lua scripts will allow various FSX functions to be set/activead/deactivated based on defined conditions. Also, xml gauges would also allow those things to be incorporated. As well as what Paul said, any control or value that can be sent by a device through assignment and calibration can also be sent by program through FSUIPC's application interface, using, for example, the offsets 3110/3114 for FS control number ("key event number") and parameter value.
