So, I copied it to the p3d V2.5 ! folder, adn double clicked (also tried as admin) but it didn't work. it says it failed to make the csv fiels for runway/ Any advise on how to fix it? What version of MakeRunways? Older versions don't understand P3D. If the P3D folder a normal P3D folder, without some migration tool being used to change names and so on? Didn't MakeRunways make a log file, called "runways.txt"? If so, see what that says, as the beginning. It needs to be able to find your SCENERY.CFG file. Pete

That could be the problem I guess?
Thomas Richter Posted March 8, 2015 Report Posted March 8, 2015 Hi, Well, the new p3d moved teh scenery file to programdata..not in the folder itself. That could be the problem I guess? I have only P3D v2.5 installed with both hotfixes ,it runs ok and produces correct all files. Make Runways File: Version 4.678 by Pete Dowson Reading SCENERY.CFG ... CFG file being used is: "C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\SCENERY.CFG" ... and so on
Pete Dowson Posted March 8, 2015 Report Posted March 8, 2015 Well, the new p3d moved teh scenery file to programdata..not in the folder itself. That could be the problem I guess? The correct SCENERY.CFG is always in ProgramData, just as it is with FSX. That's where MakeRunways is looking for it. What does your "runways.txt" file log say? I have only P3D v2.5 installed with both hotfixes ,it runs ok and produces correct all files. Make Runways File: Version 4.678 by Pete Dowson Reading SCENERY.CFG ... CFG file being used is: "C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\SCENERY.CFG" ... and so on Thanks Thomas. Hopefully the OP can clarify in a similar way. Pete
krieke58 Posted April 25, 2015 Report Posted April 25, 2015 (edited) Hello, I see in my log it's searching the scenery.cfg in de P3D folder, not in ProgramData. How can I change ? Best regards. Eddy. Edited April 25, 2015 by krieke58
Pete Dowson Posted April 25, 2015 Report Posted April 25, 2015 I see in my log it's searching the scenery.cfg in de P3D folder, not in ProgramData. It only searches the folder it finds itself in if it cannot correctly identify the program (FS version) it is residing next to. It cannot find the correct ProgramData folder without knowing the simulator version. Is the only FS application name is that folder "Prepar3D.exe", no "FSX.EXE" or other named version? Pete
