penta_a
I have P3D latest, with PMDG 747 V3, Saitek X-55, tried every thing (FSUIPC all latest versions) under joystick calibration (page 3 of 11) to map throttles 1=>12, and 2=34 or any other arrangement/combination and couldn't get throttle 3 to follow. 1, 2 and 4 are working fine. is there something I should do to get #3 to join the group? FSUIPC simply copies the throttle values over. Try with a default 3 or 4-engined aircraft first. Also 1-> 1,2,3,4 mapping and Throttle Sync (hotkey or assignable FSUIPC control) Enable axis logging in FSUIPC's Logging tab to see that the appropriate values are being sent. Show me the log if you want me to help check. Please make sure first your FSUIPC is version 4.966c, released today. Pete
penta_a
Thanks Pete for quick reply I'm using latest version, and default 4 engine aircraft throttles are behaving the same. log file size is 852KB and can't be accepted in this forum, is there a way to send it to you? Tell me if it is 4.966c or not. 4 hours ago, penta_a said: log file size is 852KB and can't be accepted in this forum, is there a way to send it to you? I don't want to wade through a huge log! Please either keep the session short, or take a typical extract! You only had to load up, try using throttle 3 in any one way which you say doesn't work, then terminate the session. Also, it is a pure text file. ZIP it, it will be much much smaller then. With a small sample, illustrating just the problem, not a whole session, you could paste the extract into a message here. that would be much more convenient to both of us. penta_a
OK Pete, sorry for late response (I was traveling for past 2 days). Yes I'm using version 4.966c. Log file is shortened and zipped (I hope it contains what you are looking for), thanks for your usual support. FSUIPC4_Short.zip
Pete Dowson
Sorry, I need to see your FSUIPC4.INI file too, for the assignments, calibrations and options. Just post its contents in a message here -- use the <> button above the edit area to enclose it. Did you try Throttle 3 lever on its own? Does that work? There's no Throttle3 or Throttle4 controls in the log. Do they both work independently? Did you try a 1,2,3,4 mapping, or a 1,2 + 3,4 one, in this session? Did you try Throttle Sync as I suggested? Are they only assigned in the sim? You also have no axes calibrated. I don't think ANY mappings work without any calibrations. As far as I can see, this is a completely default settings except for the mapping lines. I didn't think you could set those (at least not in the calibration tab) without at least calibrating. The mapping maps the post calibration values! Pete
Pete Dowson
Have you got any further? Have you made any axis and button assignments yet to your X-55 devices (stick and throttle?). If you have things working in FSUIPC, could you do me a favour, please? Provide some logs. Add these lines to the FSUIPC4.INI file's [General] section: Debug=Please LogExtras=x200000 then just run the sim for a short time, using the X55 a bit 9axes, buttons). Close down and show me the log -- or send it, ZIPped to petedowson@btconnect.com. Thanks. Pete
Thomas Richter
Hi 'penta_a', do you still a problem with your X-55 controller units and FSUIPC4.966c? If so and in case with your latest message and attached FSUIPC4.ini file you didn't have any Button or Axis assigned, could you please change your FSUIPC4.ini file for this both sections manually and run then again a test with an default aircraft instead. The JoyName section is your original and doesn't need to be changed, as long it is still the same. [JoyNames] AutoAssignLetters=No 0=Saitek Pro Flight X-55 Rhino Throttle 0.GUID={32BD3B00-0998-11E6-8002-444553540000} 1=Saitek Pro Flight X-55 Rhino Stick 1.GUID={32BD3B00-0998-11E6-8006-444553540000} This both following sections should look like this, just copy and paste the sections by overwriting the existing ones. [Axes] PollInterval=10 RangeRepeatRate=10 0=0X,256,D,4,0,0,0 -{ DIRECT: Throttle }- 1=1X,256,D,1,0,0,0 -{ DIRECT: Aileron }- [Buttons] PollInterval=25 ButtonRepeat=20,10 0=P1,0,K13,24 -{Key press: alt+Rtn}- This changed section have the X-Axis of your throttle unit assigned to FS Throttle (all engines) and the X-Axis of your Stick unit assigned to Ailerons. The assigned Button #0 is a Key Press: ALT + ENTER , so it will toggle windowed mode and full mode. We would like to see if the assignment will work instead of assigning something out of the menu. penta_a
OK gentlemen, thanks a lot for your help, I have moved to P3D V4 and installed FSUIPC V5, followed your instructions and every thing seems to be working just fine. Thanks again.
