PHII33 Posted June 2, 2017 Report Posted June 2, 2017 Is this what the version is supposed to look like till it's registered? And I can't register it till I can but it correct? Sorry for the newbie type questions.
Thomas Richter Posted June 2, 2017 Report Posted June 2, 2017 Hi, that's correct. You register when you use the Installer, the last thing to do is to register, or not. Make sure when you got your registration details to use then exactly as you got them, best practise is to copy and paste them instead of typing, typing gives often misspelling errors. Thomas
Pete Dowson Posted June 2, 2017 Report Posted June 2, 2017 Unfortunately it seems SimMarket aren't quite ready yet with their sales page. I thought I was late releasing FSUIPC5 on Thursday instead of Tuesday. I supplied Simarket details last weekend and apologised to them be being late with the program! I'm talking again with them now. 1

Why post pictures here when you can see these in the FSUIPC5 documentation? Didn't you look at all? The ZIP file you downloaded includes a guide to installation, which tells you what documents are installed and where to find them. Then, within the first few pages of the User Guide, it shows you precisely the same picture as you posted first, above! (The Logging tab picture is of course shown in the Logging section). It would have been much easier for you just to look, wouldn't it, than go to the trouble of doing screen grabs etc? :-( Pete 1
Simson Posted June 2, 2017 Report Posted June 2, 2017 joke-mode on Pete, next time you better only sell the manual and 14 days later people get the tool for free. I'm one of those people who deserved it this way too... joke-mode off
cavaricooper Posted June 2, 2017 Report Posted June 2, 2017 Hey Pete- any word from Simmarket? I just looked and it's still not available for purchase..... Ta- Carl

I was just making sure, and yes I read the manual, I always read every manual. I tried telling people here I'm not good at this as they are, all I wanted was a little confirmation. I'll have to be careful what I post here again.

I would just like to save folks the time and trouble to post pictures which are provided in any case. My replies are not just for the poster -- I'm trying to help others help themselves. If the Forum were the only reference I'd understand the need for all these basic clarifications, but it isn't. Pete
holi Posted June 2, 2017 Report Posted June 2, 2017 Pete, as I know you have Cockpit as well may I ask the question if in the registered version the offsets are available again? I tried today with the unregistered version and copied my ini file over from v3 to v4 renamed it and noticed that alot of functions such as buttons or switches etc are not working in V4. Prosim is connecting but many functions are not available yet. I know that Lapi said its not ready yet but I gave it a try and a few things worked. looking forward to get it in my basket at Simmarket!

Offset access for applications does not depend on registration. 27 minutes ago, holi said: tried today with the unregistered version and copied my ini file over from v3 to v4 renamed it and noticed that alot of functions such as buttons or switches etc are not working in V4. Button and Switch assignments are nothing to do with "offsets" but are part of the facilities in the Registered install. 28 minutes ago, holi said: Prosim is connecting but many functions are not available yet. On my own system ALL of the ProSim assignments are via FSUIPC offsets because my hardware drivers are not ones recognised by ProSim, but ones I wrote myself. I assumed ProSim used SimConnect for most of its interaction with FS. From the sound of it you won't have any difference whether you register FSUIPC5 or not. Maybe you need to ask more questions in the ProSim Forums? Pete
holi Posted June 2, 2017 Report Posted June 2, 2017 Pete, the offsets are needed for my throttle running with SIOC. Before I tested the setup in P3Dv3 and with the latest Fsuipc 4 and the throttle ran fin, but with the same ini file I tried in P3Dv4 and your Fsuipc 5 but the throttle did not work.......contacting the manufacturer and he said the offsets are missing..... The thing with the buttons may be be fixed once the Fsuipc is registered.

Well, I have many applcations using offsets and working well. There's no change in this interface. I really don't know which offsets he thinks are "missing" (by which I assume he must mean "don't work"?). If he or you would like to tell me which, I can easily test them here. Offsets are never actually "missing" -- the offset number is simple a value between 0000 and FFFF (0 and 65535 in decimal), and that range is always the same. Maybe he is saying P3D is not responding to the throttle changes. that is a different matter. Why don't yo enable Offset Write and the two Event logging options, and see for yourself. Pete
holi Posted June 2, 2017 Report Posted June 2, 2017 Thanks for advice, will do it over the weekend.... Just another question, will there be the menu to assign the axis and calibrate then in the registered version? The reason why I'm asking, I have disabled the controls in the sim and used in v3 FSUIPC only. With the same ini file I have no input to the controls if disabled in the sim, so they are not recognized by FSUIPC in v4....

Yes of course. Have you not seen the User Guide yet? It even has pictures of them. 2 hours ago, holi said: With the same ini file I have no input to the controls if disabled in the sim, so they are not recognized by FSUIPC in v4.... Not until you register, then everything in your INI will work again. Pete
holi Posted June 3, 2017 Report Posted June 3, 2017 Thanks Pete! unfortunately still no Fsuipc at Simmarket......have to wait then and will be one of the first who are going to buy it:-))))
