JARS Posted July 31, 2018 Report Posted July 31, 2018 Due to problems I was having with CTDs I have just reinstalled P3Dv4.3, the only difference is that this time I have installed to C:/Lockheed Martin rather than to C:/Program Files/LockheedMartin. Previous to this FSUIPC and WideFS worked perfectly.........but now they will not connect. I have installed the latest versions of both apps and registered them accordingly. Been using this system for many, many years and it's never failed me before! I am also running FS Global weather from the client laptop and this works fine. I have mapped drives to "User" and "Lockheed Martin" folders from my laptop and these appear to operate ok. This is the FSUIPC log file....... ********* FSUIPC5, Version 5.132c (6th July 2018) by Pete Dowson ********* Running inside Prepar3D v4 Module base=7FF907850000 Windows 10 Home 64 Bit reported as Build 17134, Release ID: 1803 (OS 10.0) Prepar3D.exe version = 4.3.29.25520 Reading options from "C:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Modules\FSUIPC5.ini" Checking the Registrations now ... Okay. that shows nothing is ever seen by WideServer. So the client frames requesting connection are being blocked. Maybe previously you made an exception in your firewall for Wideclient or P3d and moving the latter has nullified that? Test with the firewall disabled. Pete
JARS Posted July 31, 2018 Author Report Posted July 31, 2018 (edited) Thanks Peter that sorted it. How do I clear that exception? I'm not familiar with Win 10 firewall so I'd be obliged if you could point me in the right direction. Many thanks for your help. Edit..............just found the exception and ticked the box.............it was P3D causing the problem! Thanks again John Edited July 31, 2018 by JARS problem found

Or do you mean that you ticket the box in a router config page to allow P3D to send/receive external traffic?
