PilatusPilot32
I've been away from the game a few months, and recently started playing again. I was surprised to find that the "loading multiple hours" bug that effects how much traffic actually comes in and out of an airport hasn't been addressed yet. It is impossible to play Atlanta at it's heaviest times (8am should produce 177 aircraft) without modifying the traffic schedules and reducing it to 1 or 2 hours, which I can do, but it's cumbersome and annoying, especially when you play multiplayer. If you don't modify the schedules, it results in about 60-80 aircraft in the hour instead of 177. As I understood correctly, the problem is that 6-8 hours of traffic is being loaded and ensuring there are enough aircraft for departures of that many hours, thereby taking up all of the gates for departing aircraft which results in arrivals not coming in because there are no terminals available. This isn't just an ATL bug, it happens at every airport, and I'm guessing most people don't realize it. Are there any plans to address this bug? It's a huge shortcoming of the simulation. hexzed
This has been mentioned in multiple threads, and going from what feel there have said this will only possibly be fixed in the future version of the game.
crbascott
Even reducing the schedule to 1-2 hours will not get 177 aircraft in an hour. There are other matters in play here including the built in tracon, arrival separation, etc. As @hexzed mentioned, hopefully these matters will be taken under consideration in the next version.
