Tower3D. How to manage arrival rush

Hi,

Beginner in Tower3D, playing via the mouse interface, no speech recognition yet.

I am curious how you manage with a lot of arrivals. I am on Philadelphia and sometimes got a separation warning on approach.

How can you avoid this regarding the few options available, for example no speed reduction (I guess, at least not in the controls available).

Philadelphia is really bad for unnecessary separation problems. You can give go around, contact departure or enter final instructions for a different runway

Or sadly, delete airplanes. Philadelphia is a good example where arrival logic along with a 20 mile final needs addressing in the next version.

Another thing I don't understand, but it's working fine and no penalties, you can give the landing clearance to all the arriving aircrafts. Since this is decreasing a bit the work load on arrival I don't mind that much, but it's not "realistic".

Yeah you have to keep an eye on the plane. A 'contact departure' is safer

Actually, it is realistic under FAA rules. It is covered in FAA JO Order 7110.65 under section 3-10-6, Anticipating Separation.

Landing clearance to succeeding aircraft in a landing sequence need not be withheld if you observe the positions of the aircraft and determine that prescribed runway separation will exist when the aircraft crosses the landing threshold.
