nantelp
Hi, Just installed FSUIPC 6 with P3D v4 using the ADDONXML option and when I start P3D v4 I see FSUIPC running but not PFCcom64.dll. Should I ad </Path>C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Modules\PFCcom64.dll</Path> to the add-on.xml file? Thanks Pierre
John Dowson
No, don't do that! Where is your FSUIPC6 installed? Is it installed into C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Modules? The Modules folder is no longer the default installation path, and in fact it is recommended to install outside of your P3D directory. Check where you have FSUIPC6 installed, and make sue that the PFCcom64.dll is in the same folder. John P.S. If you didn't change the default installation path, it will be installed alongside the add-on.xml file, in your Documents folder under Prepar3d v4 Add-ons\FSUIPC6. nantelp
It is installed in the C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Modules and the PFCcom64 is in the same folder. Should I re-install outside of P3D?

John Dowson
Can you check or post your log file - are there any message relating to the PFCcom64.dll? i.e. something like PFCcom64.DLL failed to link correctly or Loaded PFCcom64.DLL okay! ? John Dowson
I don't have any PFC devices, but if I drop the PFCcom64.dll into my installation directory, I see the "Loaded PFCcom64.DLL okay!" message in the log file...
John Dowson
Btw, you should update your Explorer settings so that you can see hidden file types - difficult to know what files you have from that screenshot. Do you have a PFCcom64.ini file in the same directory? It may be that its loaded (check your log, as advised earlier) but not configured correctly so cannot connect to your device. John Dowson
Yes, that log shows: 35609 Loaded PFCcom64.DLL okay! so looks like the problem is in your configuration. Was it working with FSUIPC5 (same config)? Maybe you can post your PFCcom64.ini. Screenshots are pretty useless, difficult to read due to the resolution (or my eyesight!). nantelp
Hi John, I ran some test and their is something not working: First I re-installed FSUIPC6 using the Add-on option, that created a folder under documents\prepar3d V4 add-ons\FSUIPC6 Load P3D and activated the add-on and FSUIPC6 is in the add-ons option in P3D- so working find I also made sure I didn't have a module folder in the program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 I downloaded a fresh copy of PFCDLL.zip and installed the PFCcom64.dll in the documents\prepar3d V4 add-ons\FSUIPC6 folder. Start P3D and PFC is not showing in the add-ons menu and I wasn't ask to configure my device so it could create the PFCcom64.ini file I when back in the documents\prepar3d V4 add-ons\FSUIPC6 folder to see if I could find a log (PFCcom64.txt), nothing But as you can see in the FSUIPC6 log "Loaded PFCcom64.DLL okay!" FSUIPC6.log I will go back to version 5 for now Hope this helps
John Dowson
Yes, Pete just found the problem and has built a new dll for FSUIPC6. I'll post the dll here shortly, and add it to the downloadable zip tomorrow.
