adrem
Hi, The documentation says that this offset is free for general use, but nothing happens when I try writing to it.

'General use' means it is free for you to use however you like. If you write to it, the value you write just gets written. What else are you expecting to happen? Else how? If you think there's a problem we need FSUIPC version number and exact details of what you are doing. Pete
adrem
Actually, it's just the first byte that I can't write to. Writing to 4201 and beyond works just fine.

Strange. I could check, but I definitely need the FSUIPC version number, please!

John Dowson
It seems that that offset area is documented as for general use by mistake! That area is actually reserved for the "SoundViaIPC" interface documented in the FSUIPC for Programmers guide. This is very little used so I could make this optional, but for now I'll just update the documentation in the next release. I suggest you use one of the other offset areas for general use instead, maybe starting at 66C0. John
