MSFS graphics settings changes not saved if FSUIPC is open

just noticed that since latest MSFS patch my graphics settings don't seem to stick. got advice from the MSFS forum to switch off FSUIPC. so tried that, and voila... it now remembers my graphics setting changes.

not sure if this is a bug or maybe there's a a step/setting in fsuipc i've missed? i've got the steam version if that makes a difference.

hi john. here's the link. i've tried/tested it on my setup and yeah, fsuipc seems to be ''blocking' my setting changes

I have a steam installation, and I've tested this and experience the same - my settings aren't saved if I close and restart with FSUIPC7 still running. Very strange.

There is nothing in FSUIPC7 that could prevent this - its only a SimConnect client as far as MSFS is concerned. I'll do some more tests and maybe report to Asobo.

thanks, i guess its good to know i'm not imagining things 🙂 but yes, it also doesn't make sense to me! wonder what's different as @Thomas Richter pointed out it works for him?

sure its an easy workaround to quit fsuipc when changing settings - but now i'm really curious to know what the issue is!

thanks so much! can confirm graphics settings now get saved.

i think an unrelated but similar msfs bug though: i don't think their tickbox for inverting joystick axis works. it moves in the opposite direction no matter what. in any case i just use fsuipc to map & reverse my throttle axis.

thanks again!
