FSUIPC7 Application Error

Recommended Posts

Good evening,

As a new user of your software I would really appreciate if you could help me.

During startup of MSFS2020 I get the following error message related to FSUIPC7;

"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000022). Click OK to close application."

MSFS2020 proceedes to run fine but without FSUIPC7.

When I try to run the executable on it's own I get a similiar error message;

"The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140_1.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem."

Re-Install attempted but still the same error.

Appreciate any help you can provide.

Kind regards,

Darragh

You really should read the documents provided in your Installation ZIP file. There's one called README.txt, which title asks you to read it. In there you'll find details of the fix for the exact problem you are reporting:

Problems running FSUIPC7
========================
1. If you receive the following error when running FSUIPC7:
The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140_1.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.

Hi Pete,

Many thanks for the help which seems to have done the trick.

I did have a number of searches for the README.txt file but could not find it.

I could find the README for the SDK application. The only other .txt file was the Installation log.

But could'nt find one the addressed this particular error. I'm probably gone stupid!

Thanks again.

Regards,

Darragh

It is one of the files in the Installer ZIP you downloaded. You are meant to read it BEFORE you run the Installer  It doesn't get installed!   It is part of the assistance for installing correctly, along with the Installing and Registering FSUIPC7 document, also in the ZIP file!

  • 1 year later...

I am having a similar issue, I bought a new PC and re-installed every programmes with no problem whatsoever, the only important difficulty I am facing is FSUIPC cannot run because of this VCRUNTIME.dll. I read the instructions in FSUIPC, went to the Microsoft forum first, read the instructions, then downloaded the necessary 2015 files and installed them. Restarted the PC. No success, FSUIPC wont start.

On this new PC (with Windows 11 Home edition), I noticed that already installed are Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (32 and 64 bits), 2013 and now 2015, 2017 is not there, when going to the download page, only versions up to 2015 are available (I must say that I am somewhat confused by the complexity of the presentation which is less than clear for non-initiated like me). There is also a 2022 version which I installed as well, to no avail.

I uninstalled FSUIPC, re-installed, registered and everything is OK, except that when I click on the FSUIPC exe file, I am still getting this message of error.

Would you be so kind to please clarify the road ahead with the understanding that you are talking to an old computer illiterate person who was a pilot (hence my interest for simulators) but not a programmer!

I thank you for your assistance.

Then you misread the instructions.:

...you need to uninstall the 2015, 2017, 2019 & 2022 VC++ redistributables from the Windows App management panel (any/all that are installed),
and then install the latest combined redistributable packages (both the x86 and x64 versions recommended, although FSUIPC7 only requires the x64 version)

i.e. it is the combined redistributable package that you need to install.

Why is it not clear?

Just follow the provided instructions, i.e.
   - uninstall any of the 2015, 2017, 2019 or 2022 VC++ redistributable packages that you currently have installed
   - download and install the cumalative combined package for 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2022 using the link provided (in the README.txt file)

I'm sorry, but I do not see what is not clear about this in the current instructions:

Because when you go to that Microsoft page (your link) none of the download link listed has the name of the one you need to download! Not to mention a verbiage of which I have a very limited understanding if any...

So I went ahead and downloaded the first two and, apparently, FSUIPC is now operational, thank you. I will now need to retrieve all my settings saved on my previous computer.

Thank you anyway for your product, I can only guess how upsetting it must be for you to rehash so often the same things, you are in a very specialised area producing software meant for most simmers but with only a few being able to squeeze the entire substance of your brilliant work, my usage of FSUIPC is very limited but so helpful.

With best regards.

The link (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170) has this:

Quote

Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022

This table lists the latest supported English (en-US) Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable packages for Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022. The latest supported version has the most recent implemented C++ features, security, reliability, and performance improvements. It also includes the latest C++ standard language and library standards conformance updates. We recommend you install this version for all applications created using Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, or 2022.

Architecture Link Notes
ARM64 https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.arm64.exe Permalink for latest supported ARM64 version
X86 https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x86.exe Permalink for latest supported x86 version
X64 https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe Permalink for latest supported x64 version. The X64 Redistributable package contains both ARM64 and X64 binaries. This package makes it easy to install required Visual C++ ARM64 binaries when the X64 Redistributable is installed on an ARM64 device.

and the instructions say to download and install the x86 and x64 versions of this latest combined redistributable package.

I don't see how I can make this any clearer, and do not understand why I keep getting support questions on this subject. I ask what is not clear so that I can update on user feedback to prevent further support requests...

If Microsoft allows it, simply put the related links as part of your instructions:

...

  1. Un-install all previous versions of Microsoft Visual C++
  2. Install the following two packages:

X86: https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x86.exe

X64: https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe

And for those smart enough to understand what this is all about, add the link to the page (as you have done in your instructions).

Thank you and best regards.

But this is not correct and would mess up many peoples system (including mine!). You only need to uninstall any of the 2015, 2017, 2019 or 2022 versions that are installed.
I also have versioned installed going back to 2010. And it is not Microsoft Visual C++ you should uninstall, but the Visual C++ redistributable packages. They are different.

These links change as the combined package is updated. However, the link to thee page with the latest updates doesn't, which is why I use that one instead, and just give instructions to install the latest combined packages for both x64 and x86.
