John Dowson Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 (edited) FSUIPC7 beta version 7.5.0d can now be installed with the installer you can download at the following location: Install_FSUIPC7.zip The updated installer will detect if either MSFS2020 or MSFS2024 is installed. If only one version of MSFS is detected, it will install into that version. If both MSFS versions are detected, you can select the versions you want to install into. If you select both versions, one installation will be created for use by both versions, If you prefer separate installations for each MSFS version, run the installer twice and select each version separately, If you are undecided as to use one FSUIPC7 installation for both MSFS2020 and MSFS2024 or to use separate installations, then I would advise you first to start with one installation. If at some point you see that the assignments for the same aircraft are different in MSFS2020 than in MSFS2024, then you can re-run the installer and create separate installations for each MSFS version. You will need to re-run once to uninstall from both versions and install into one version, then re-run the installer again to create a second separate installation. After doing this, you should then copy across your files (FSUIPC7.ini, FSUIPC7.key, *.lua, *.dll, *.mcro, *.txt) to the new installation folder, so that both instances are initially the same. The changes from the last official release (7.4.18) are: - Installer updated to detect and install FSUIPC7 into MSFS2024 - Allow negative and 0 values for InitialStallTime ini parameter. Using such values will disable the timeout on the initial simconnect open call, and may help on some overloaded systems where the initial connection is taking a long time to complete. - added ability to adjust event priority levels. This can help some add-ons work correctly, and make more events visible to FSUIPC7 for logging purposes. - automatic adjustment of priority levels for FSLabs A321 aircraft - FS Events table reduced (null events removed) and the following new events have been added: CAPTURE_SCREENSHOT DECREASE_DECISION_ALTITUDE_MSL INCREASE_DECISION_ALTITUDE_MSL LETTERBOX MOUSE_LOOK_TOGGLE MP_PAUSE_SESSION VIEW_TYPE - forced uniqueness of preset names. Presets with duplicate names will no longer be loaded. - basic checks on preset calc. code and don't load if invalid - Removed EventsViaCommands ini parameter, as this is not applicable to MSFS2020 or MSFS2024 - corrections to pause state for MSFS2024 - update offsets holding Input Events directly when writing to them - logging of received Input Events corrected. Previously received Input Events weren't logged unless the DontLogTheseIE ini parameter was set - For MSFS2024, write the value 14 to offset 0x3308, and the value 120 to offset 0x3124 - folders used for saved flights and plans updated to use MSFS2024 folders (when using this version) - separate AutoSave sections now used for MSFS2020 and MSFS2024 - the FSUIPC WASM module has been updated for MSFS2024, new version is 1.0.7 - changes to detection of PMDG aircraft when stopping PMDG threads (now done on aircraft change, whereas previously it was using the Camera State). For those that have already manually installed beta version 7.5.0a or 7.5.0b, you can install this version on top of your current installation or installations. Please use this topic for any issues/feedback with this version for both MSFS2020 and MSFS2024. Any issues with the installation process, please post here and attach your InstallFSUIPC7.log file (if produced) and also the UninstallFSUIPC7.log file (if available) and let me know what versions of MSFS you have installed and whether they are via Steam or MS Store. ksp100 Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 Hi John, Not sure the new installer is working right in MS Store. I already had fsuipc7 installed in the default c:\fsuipc7 to serve msfs2020. It seems to know this and detects I also have msfs2024 but doesn't give me an option on where to install it. I was using the default install options which is to install everything/autostart ; the only thing i changed was the install location to c:\fsuipc7_2024 so I could have separate settings. I have checked and it hasn't changed the auto setting in the msfs 2020 exe.xml file and it didn't update the msfs.bat file that I use to autostart msfs 2020. So it appears to have only dumped the files in a new directory and done nothing to install. Attached is the install log. Regards, Kevin InstallFSUIPC7.log
danastasiou Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 Thanks for updating John, great tool, however when installing the same thing happened to me as per kps100 - does know the msfs2020 is there and detects but I also have msfs2024 but doesn't give me an option on where to install it.
Doc_Z Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 I tried to install and it went into 2020 without a problem, but not 2024. I have moved my 2024 Community folder to a different drive. InstallFSUIPC7.log
John Dowson Posted November 29 Author Report Posted November 29 Found an issue where it wasn't showing the MSFS versions selections page for MS installs. I have corrected and uploaded an update. @ksp100, @danastasiou & @Doc_Z can you please download and try again.

ksp100 Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 Awesome support John, as ever! Just installed -2 and that worked perfectly on the MS Store version and I get the shortcut that gets rid of the Asobo launch splashscreen. I will remove everything and try version -3 to confirm that works after a glass of vino!
Djeez Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 I installed 7.5.0c over 7.4.18 with the MSFS2024 MS Store version and copied over the fsuipc-lvar-module folder from the 2020 Community to the 2024 community folder. Installation was without problem. My first tests in the C172 G1000 version do show some breaking changes, probably related to the sim than to FSUIPC: Virtual keys such as F19, F20, .. are not picked up by FSUIPC. They are detected when assigning them in the Assignments -> Key Presses dialog and can be configured, but they are not detected during flight The Avionics master switch control (ipc offset 0x3103) does not work The fuel selector (ipc.control 65955 and above) does not work The fuel pump (ipc offset 0x3104) does not work The last 3 items probably have to do with the new electronics / fuel system I remember being mentioned in one of the development blogs. Anyway it is good to know. (EDIT: I know see that there is a new installer available. I installed using the "original" 7.5.0c, without specific MS2024 selection)
Kklosterman Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 Loaded the latest version for the combined 2020 and 2024 and 2024 worked ok. Didn't retry the 2020 but should be ok. FYI I am using the 2024 with the game pass for now in 2024. Both 2020 and 2024 desktop icons created on the desktop/ Nice touch. Didn't want to spend the money on the full version till some of their bugs are out more. Game pass was only $11.99 to test with. Attached the log file since this is NOT steam but XBOX game pass which is supposedly same as store. PS. The log error was my fault. I accidently removed the .exe and had to install it back on the subdirectory. 5172 FSUIPC couldn't run: "C:\FSUIPC7\FsPanelServer.exe" in folder "C:\FSUIPC7" [Error=2] [Programs] RunIf1=KILL,C:\Users\kklos\OneDrive\Desktop\GTFlightPlannerV10.5\GTFlightPlanner\flightplanner.exe RunIf2=KILL,C:\FSUIPC7\FsPanelServer.exe <****************************** RunIf3=KILL,C:\FSUIPC7\FsSimRateBandit.exe Great job appreciated the quick updates. Kklosterman Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 Just tested the other icon for the 2020 and it worked also. Again this was on xbox game pass/ Attached log. Thanks, Ken FSUIPC7.log
Rotorfib Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 Hello, Just installed for 20 and 24. Previously had old version just for 20. When I click the icon for MSFS24 I get a popup error message saying: Windows cannot find 'shell:AppsFolder\Microsoft.... blah blah Nothing starts. InstallFSUIPC7.log

Was it previously working in MSFS2020?
Fragtality Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 I assume it was somehow necessary to change the RegistryPath to FSUIPC7Both? (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\FSUIPC7Both)
ksp100 Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 7.5.0c-3 works perfectly to install for me on MS Store installs of both MSFS2020 and MSFS2024. Thanks, Kevin

Thats what the installer detected, but from that message it looks like the start icon was installed for a MS Store version for MSFS2024. Just checked this and found the problem. I will upload a new version shortly. The Community folder for your MSFS2024 version is also rather strange as it is under another Community folder: CommunityFolderLocation=G:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Limitless\Community\Community\ Is this correct? Later: @Rotorfib please download the latest update and try again
Hans K Posted November 30 Report Posted November 30 FSUIPC7c installs perfectly in MSFS2024, MS Store version as a separate installation. FSUIPC now is started by 2024. Testing is for me limited because the planes I most use are not yet validated for 2024. I tested the ATR42/72 and the C172 with the .ini file copied from 2020 and so far so good. Also my Electronic Flight Bag (EFB2) can be connected to 2024 and I see my plane and the by Beyond ATC injected AI traffic on the map. Thanks! Hans K 1
John Dowson Posted November 30 Author Report Posted November 30 I have updated the installer to v5. The only change is to the splash image displayed when starting MSFS2024. Hopefully this while be the final update for the time being... John
danastasiou Posted November 30 Report Posted November 30 Thank you John for correcting the installer it works fine.

Ohh! 😮 Then I shall add that to check Paths I guess ^^ Thanks for the Feedback!
Fragtality Posted November 30 Report Posted November 30 Btw, would it be possible to offer a permanent Link to the Beta? Maybe something like "Install_FSUIPC7.5.0-beta.zip" Link to the respective current File?

Maybe something like "Install_FSUIPC7.5.0-beta.zip" Link to the respective current File? The problem when doing this is that many browsers cache the download, so if i use the same name for different versions, when people download it downloads the older cached version rather than the latest. So I won't be changing this for the time being. Hopefully c-5 will be the last beta and I would like to release this in a few days anyway. If no or only minor errors reported in the next couple of days, I will release on Wednesday 4th. John
Fragtality Posted November 30 Report Posted November 30 That Link wasn't meant as an User-Facing Link - they would still use the actual File-Name with the Version embedded - was more an Idea for Apps 😉 But sounds good, I'll just update the Forum Link then until Release! 🙂

It all worked fine in MSFS2020. I just installed the new version and tried some of my home cockpit functions for the Cessna. -Emile.
