Thanks C-R I get quite overwhelmed with huge amounts of traffic so not too much traffic.... I think your points 2 and 3 are really key to me.

Thanks for the correction @crbascott - I seem to have noticed a slight anomaly in his calculation though, for KLAX traffic. I played 00:00 to 02:05, and I had 53 total aircraft landings/takeoffs, instead of his stated 66 It still kept me busy and I'm not complaining, but wondering where the discrepancy originates? Is it possible it's not absolute, and possibly dependent on day of week?

Good morning everyone. If there are any new T!3DP users like me out there, I found a fun and easy intro to KLAX: Real Traffic + Real Color are both required for maximum enjoyment. Set up your time to start at midnight, with both 24R and 25L as your arrival runways. I generally schedule all departures next to taxiways Sierra and Delta to use 24L for departure with the others using 25R. It's relatively busy at first but not manic and you can easily handle the load if you think things through. Traffic quietens down significantly from 1:30 AM and you can then either quit or speed up the clock to get to 5 AM when things DO start getting real busy! Starting at midnight also gives you time to try out some different commands. I hope that helps some of you - I was completely overwhelmed when I first fired up KLAX (I don't like using the traffic % slider and always leave it at 100%). You think the next version will fix the existing bugs? Like you I don't care about the next releases - there's plenty of stuff to keep us interested at the moment, including insane schedules thought up by the more savvy guys here (like you) Has anyone mentioned a timeline on version 2.x of this?

@crbascott - thank you for that. It's interesting that in one of the mentioned links someone says it shows the controlled hours in the registry. Surely this would then be a reasonably straightforward software fix?

Nope, At KPHL, KLAX and TIST - the only 3 airports I have.

Arrrggghh! I just got nailed with a 5,000 point penalty because I thought I would get lucky at KPHL 9R with a Piedmont jet that I instructed to take next available exit to the left, ignored me and then a damn UPS 767 was up his exhaust. I'm now at -3750 😡 I should have told the 767 to go around.

Thanks everyone! So I'm understanding you all correctly, I can't have 9L departure taking off while 9R lands - ie one of them needs to be on the ground?

Hi I keep getting nailed by penalties at KPHL. Here's my default strategy and perhaps I'm missing something. All departures use 9R and all arrivals use 9 L I try to keep all aircraft separated and for departure a/c I use taxiways Juliet Zebra Sierra Yet I keep getting these penalties - any ideas? 😞
