  1. I agree with a standard voice program

I don't think we are voting... but if we are voting for a standard voice program... I vote for Roger Wilco, but only because it’s the ONLY one I have used and it was simple... I realize that others may be simple too...

Also Roger Wilco can use another program called Navy RW which will link your FS2k2 Comm 1 to Roger Wilco, so when you change the freq on comm 1, it will change the RW channel (they have to be set up ahead of time). On another place I fly, we run 2-3 channels all the time, so you can change your comm 1 to talk to others (ground, ATC, Center etc). This works well when all are on...

Again, I don't know what other programs can do, I never used them... they might be able to do the same thing just as well...

But a standard for EFFC would be handy.

    Just my thoughts.

  2. Are we going to be on a MP server?

I'd like to see a fly-in where we all try to arrive at the same time (different altitudes of course). Then we all get into the pattern and land.

We start from an airport we want to at the time necessary to arrive at a certain time. Maybe a minimum distance necessary…say 90 miles min… (we could do a few of these because of the time zones across the world if necessary). UMMM… if more than one person picks the same airport, they need to coordinate take off times???

Bragging rights for the most accurate arrival time.

    Longest non-stop flight.

No holding patterns within 30 miles of Emma if you want to get more advanced.

All use the same weather (may have to be hand built in FS2k2 because Emma area may be socked in at that time...)

Just flying directly over Emma is good, not landing because we all couldn't land at the same time...then descend and all get in safely... I guess you should have to land safely for bragging rights.

A/C limited towhat ever... I guess what ever can land safely at Emma, but we may need to set a limit. (I've gotten a C-130 with a 30 Knot head wind)

Another version would be to hand out, ahead of time, landing times, say every 10 min or so, and we try to get to Emma at the exact time we need to land. Seems more fun the other way though...

Don't forget the Wall of Fame website for posting the winners... helps with bragging rights.

    Anyway, just an Idea

  3. Yep...the Tacoma Narrows Bridge collapsed because they didn't take into account the winds that are in the area. There is neat video that is shown on various TV channels (Discovery, The Learning Channel, History Channel etc) every so often. It shows the bridge twisting back and forth until it gave way.
