No worries about being 'nit picky'!
I thought it might be a ray of sunshine - or at least a potential answer (even if it isn't a good one for the poor souls effected).
How come Pitt can connect to Timbo or me, yet not to the main server though? I know you say it is probably his PC, yet it is odd that it works like this?
I only question it because I don't know how these things work, so I can only listen and learn!
Cheers Terry!

Gauges ok (For me, anyway!)
Water in cockpit for VC....well, if I look down I can see a fluctuating blue line, but I don't often look down at my seat!
Stutter - non that I can see - a good 20 fps and smooth with it.

ROFLMAO!!!!!

Pitt had trouble getting on to Terry's the other day (a problem not uncommon for him or Heli!).
When Timbo, and then when I set up servers, he had no trouble joining us.
We both run fully firewalled, and I even have Norton running (Internet and Anti virus security). Sheilds up shows us as 'Fully Stealthed' and safe from attacks, yet Pitt was not rejected.
I hope this helps in figuring out what the server problem might be.

FSNav is a very fine prog. It updates scenery that you have just installed WITHOUT the need to run the sim, and it is very simple to use 'on the hop'.
Some people say it can cause server problems, but I have found when hosting that it causes no problems. The down side is that (for the server) if you have 10 pilots, all with fsnav, then you need 20 connections.
Saying that, you don't need to keep fsnav connected all the time (although I say you will at ffirst due to novelty!). You soon get used to having it running with no need to connect to the server - you really don't need it connected all the time.
I have mine open on monitor 2, but only connect now and then.
Very useful.
As for corrupting the system - that could easily be a one off problem that many of us may have had with ANY software. I've had a bad aircraft download (the An-2) that always crashes my system, so I had to remove it!

Hmmm,
I run a 2.53 P4 with twin Graphics for 2 monitors (128 and 256 DDR). 1200 screen size, 1.5Gig RAM. I may have not looked closely enough - as I was quite tired when I tried it. I'll keep an eye out Francois.

I love aircraft - and never really been a great fan of trains, so never really understood why people like train sims - I mean, stuck to a track, go stop....
Thanks to Francois for the insight though.
I understand why people like it, but I need 3 axis and wings - real or virtual! I think trains have a stigma in the UK anyway...and would rank right up there with Dustcart driver sim. It's not that great an aspiration for people in this country anymore - although it looks like the seasons are turning, and it is picking up again - Heck, I even contemplated going for a drivers job, but the Canada move is looming!
Big world - different people. I like it that way - I just don't like the nay sayers who bad mouth people when they don't understand the fascination!
Now train design/construction - I'm interested! I like engineering, so what ever it is, if it is well thought out, I can get really engrossed!
Have you ever REALLY thought about how a propeller works - dynamically and mechanically - even a single piece fixed pitch is an amazing piece of engineering design.

So far I've had no trouble with it :?
I though the 2d cockpit was buggy, until I realised the weird screen was a menu between VFR and GPS
Rudder seems fine, although I use very gentle rudder and roll my turns, using the rudder to keep my nose up, it is equally effective for side slipping to lose speed and alt. (Maybe I misunderstood what you meant though!).
Not noticed water in the cockpit - but would be interested in any tweaks Don - mind you - it is new - maybe an email to the guy. I seem to recall the last version (250) had an update (and it works okay with fs9).
A few Lake fans here then - maybe a trip out?

Jeeez man - Jeroen and Puma were flying together last time I saw them, probably having fun!
Could argue that a Helo shouldn't have been over the field when an aircraft was landing or taking off anyway, if they were that close dude!
We're not all full time pilots, and things happen - it is a game - and that's why you can turn collisions OFF.
I've had people I'm flying with go right through me - due to lag, or the pure fact that without peripheral vision, you can't always see whats going on. Hey - shit happens - I'm not mad, no lives lost - It's not real.
Two words to remember here.
GAME.
FUN.

If you have these names in your address book exactly as they do below, then you may have a virus. NOTE- The virus sends emails from your address book to appear as if they are FROM people in your address book.
contact@privatepilotlicense.com
(and my address - as I was sent the emails!)
Contact me if you need help.
Please note - these names here may not have the virus themselves, but they have been used by the host PC to look as if the virus is from them.
If you are part of an online community, I really think a good anti-virus is not just a recommendation - but essential.

Cheers for that.

Wonderful news!!!
If I had the cash, I'd have to get this in the other real life!!! 8)

After my father passed away I really wanted to get hold of a Tiger Moth for my sim (Click my cloud writer for reasons!). I had only ever done off line flying before.
I found one at Golden Eagles, where I downloaded a great Tiger, but I wanted to alter the textures, so went and asked if I could in the forum. I also mentioned why I chose the Tiger, and that I was thinking about a world tour.
Nick Churchill found me there, and pointed me at Emma, due to the world tour interest a lot of you guys have here.
Once I was here, Simon offered to post my reskin (by now, two reskins for the Tiger Memorial pair) on his site.
Next thing you know, interest is raised and I am persueded that an online tour would be a good way to go. Timbo then came along and suggested flying the tour as the Memorial Pair, as they were at my fathers funeral fly past.
From there on in everyone has been great - and quite a lot of the Emma fliers have joined on a leg of the EFFC/GE Tiger Tour.
It was going to be one man off line, but it has truly become an Emma event.
Thank you all!

Made so much better coming from a guy called 'Happy Piloy'....

Hey! I didn't make 'em!
Goose was his back seater, Iceman was his (not liked) winger, yup.

Ah man!
I can't believe you were the first!!!!
Of all people!!!!
Have a great day mate - and be careful today!

HAPPY APRIL FOOLS GUYS!
I'll take this moment to say what a great place the EFFC is. Normally it only takes a week or two in a forum or community to start seeing idiots and loudmouths with no valid points, but EFFC is still as clear and clean as the day I first joined.
YOU'RE A GREAT BUNCH - THANKS FOR MAKING ME SO WELCOME

Hey Coop,
You can see me and the Bush Man also agree loudly at each other!
It's only a game, It's not real (It says so on a sticker my wife put under my monitor - so it must be true!), but by christ it's good fun!

Server trouble shoot.

My connection kept timing out on me, to the general net at one point.
I could be online all day, or 5minutes, then out. 5 minutes, then out.
The problem went on for over a year.
In the end it turned out to be a dodgy connector on my ether net card to my cable modem.
I went over to the usb connector, and it has worked fine since!
If ever I have server problems, I disconnect my cable modem over night (from the cable) and start fresh in the morning. It works if you disconnect for 20 minutes as a rule, but sometimes even a 20 second disconnect (physically) from the cable will do the trick.
