  1. Great to hear others agree with me on this one. I thought either I missed something in the manual or simply that this was not the way it worked. But it actually makes complete sense to know where the aircraft is actually going :) at least what terminal so you can prepare a route. Mike
  2. Hi Is there a way to know the gate before you assign the "taxi to apron" command. After the command is said the gate lights up on the airport radar screen but at that time you have already cleared the plane to taxi there. This might not be a big problem at smaller airports but for larger airports you might want to assign a specific taxi route to avoid conflicts with other aircraft on the way there but without knowing where the plane is going how can you do that? I guess you can first assign a generic "XXX taxi to apron" and when the route and gate then lights up you can issue a new command XXX taxi to apron via...." but that is a big unrealistic right? Am I missign something here? :) Thanks Mike

    3D Pro

    Hi Purchased 3D Pro day 1 but really have not tried it fully until yesterday. I am very impressed by the voice control, the game structure and so much more, I was hooked for hours! :) The only real shortcoming in my opinion is the graphics. My wife is a senior game graphics designer student and happened to stop by when I was playing and actually made a bit fun of me playing what she called a "The Sims" like graphics game. I dont know too much about Sims so I did not get the reference :) but future addons could really see a step up in the graphics department. Look at quality MSFS addons from Orbx and others and see the difference. Anyway, I had a good time regardless but would not mind paying extra for better quality addon airports in the future. Mike
  4. I would like to know that as well. Should be easy enough to implement and would add so much to the experience. Have some cereproc voices I just got for half price that are awesome and those ivona voices are fantastic. You get a little tired of those default ones after a while :) mike
  5. I have to add that my keyboard actually lacks the left shift key so if it would be user configurable to change the key I would be happy, or perhaps bring back the tab key. Mike
  6. Hi Anyone knows how to avoid that default kind of dreamy click sound when pushing shift before talk. No Feelthere Tower support issue I know :) but would really prefer no click sound or even better a realistic push to talk click sound that you normally would hear between pilot/ATC. Anyway to fix that?
  7. Harvester, exactly my frustration. I have no interest in staring at the horizon and manually moving the mouse back to the takeoff end of the runway takes valuable time. In my opinion we need a view setting that does not move at all automatically only by mouse input. Mike

Harvester, I dont know if there is something wrong with my install then because as you say when the camera is lit it moves close to the action but even when not lit the camera moves slowly to the latest activity even though it does not change view position from tower. Please have a camera that does not follow anything automatically. as for the blurry, did you change any graphics setting outside of Tower 3D in your graphics settings to get rid of the blurry. You mention Antialiasing, but thats (from the top of my head now since I am at work) not a setting within Tower3D? In any case, I already have max settings in Tower3D and still blurry. mike
  9. Just purchased tonight and had a few sessions. I am overall pleased but I have a few observations. The most importat first!! Is there a darn camera that is completely still :) and just moves whenever I move the mouse. Both camera options (highlighted and not highlighted) from the menu moves view in one way or another, following aircraft and god knows what. Its driving me crazy. I would prefer an option where the mouse input dictates all movement otherwise the view should remain completely still. Also wish for better quality addon airports in the future. Much more interested in sharper less blurry airports with more detailed buildings near and far away than moving trees! In fact, can I disable the moving trees feature altogehter in the present version? Seems like they move violently regardless of weather and windspeed. This feature does nothing for me to be honest and if any FPS can be gained having this disabled I much rather would prefer that. Finally the voice system seem to be the exact same as the 2011 version. Nothing wrong with that since its one of the best voice recognition on the market in my opinion but that robotic pilot voice returns from Tower 2011! How about spice it up and let us use some Ivona text2Speech voices, get a little variation out there. Dont mean to sound harsh, I can see much work has gone in to this and I dont regret for a second my purchase. Good job Vic & team Mike
  10. Well if everything is compatible now with Pro then its all crystal clear to me, no need to change anything :) The only bad thing later today I guess will be the hit on my wallet and the mood of my wife when Tower Pro will steel the show for attention :) Mike
  11. Vic, I am a little confused with the various addons and compatibility. As a new customer going to purchase the Pro version today, what of the 8 addons are compatible with pro at present time or at least will be today? I am interested to get San Diego as I want to control there, so for me in addition to purchasing Tower 3D Pro is San Diego airport/Real color KSAN and Real Traffic compatible with Pro at present time? Just seems practical to purchase everything at the same time but if they are not compatible, I dont want to purchase addons for the wrong Tower 3D version :) Perhaps an idea is at every addon page write what product it is presently compatible with :) Mike

Or a smaller airport for that matter, an airport where it is realistic (...or at least more realistic than KLAX, KSFO or KATL) for one controller to do both ground and tower operations for an entire airport. Tower 2011 had Key West as an addon, I would not mind that airport. Seem like a perfect balance. Mike

If I recall Vic said some time ago that most things were already tested except the multi monitor feature as it was a problem at the time, and once that feature was working correctly it would be a fairly quick testrun. With that in mind I so much hope we will see it soon! perhaps even this weekend but that might be a bit too optimistic I guess :) Mike

  18. My hope as well! :) Seeing this was their biggest hassle it cant be too much longer now. So bored with flight simulators at the moment so cant wait to do some Tower controlling. mike
  19. I think you can keep your tray/table down and why not ask the stewardess for a beverage of your choise while at it :) We have not seen much of images or anything for Pro yet so a huble guess we wont see it for a while. Although I hope I am wrong.

Sorry for all the questions, just one last :) If I purchase an addon airport for the Tower3D Pro version as well as Real Traffic from Nyerges, is that GA traffic you talk about doing T&G etc part of a new Nyerges Real Traffic addon product just for Tower!3D Pro that adds flights for Local GA traffic or is the Nyerges Real Traffic addon just airline schedules and the schedule for traffic doing T&G etc is a separate schedule from you that work in combination with their airline schedule? Why I am curious is because you say Tower3D Standard did not include any GA "special operation" procedures yet Nyerges had the Real Traffic addon for it so I guess Nyerges will have to add that local traffic in their schedule? .....Hope this did not sound too confusing as it actually just did to me when I wrote it :) Mike
  21. Sweet :) I used to play T2011 a lot a few years ago but I dont remember that feature, perhaps that is since I only played with the San Diego addon and perhaps not much such GA traffic there or something. Mike
  22. Vic, when you mention that you were to test "local traffic" in your post above, what does that mean? Local as in Touch and Go operations from local GA traffic or something else? If so, correct me if I'm wrong, but that is a new feature and not in the standard version correct? :) Mike

  24. With all the talk about VR support in flight simulators, how about VR support in Tower!3D Pro. I know the features for this upcoming version are already set in stone but if not a feature in this version, then perhaps in a future version of Tower? I think it would add tremendously to the immersion factor of beeing there guys, what do you all think :) Mike
  25. Perhaps I am wrong here but does anyone even care about or would ever use a multiplayer feature? Why spend time and effort on that? :) I might be wrong here and if so I apologize but it's not a feature I personally would ever use. Moving a window to a second monitor I see useful naturally but multiplayer? Mike
