Jateu_01 Posted June 6, 2016 Report Posted June 6, 2016 (edited) Hi all just need some friendly support. I have been bounced all over the place. I have converted from project magenta to sim Avionics. But I haven't changed any hardware. Most of my cockpitsonic hard ware is working apart from input from throttle quadrant. I've been searching everywhere for offsets and still incredibly frustrated. All I'm looking for is the offsets for fuel vales and throttles. Now o k ow many will ask for full details but I've tried everything and cockpit sonic still refuse to help me? Please anyone out there that can help just reply. Many thanks James Edited June 6, 2016 by Thomas Richter Moved to main Forum
Thomas Richter Posted June 6, 2016 Report Posted June 6, 2016 Hi, Throttle offsets will be the FS ones,088C 2 Engine 1 Throttle lever, –4096 to +163840924 2 Engine 2 Throttle lever, –4096 to +16384 The Cutoff lever Offsets will be the Project Magenta ones, CS driver has to run of course.561A Bit 0 for Cutoff1561A Bit 1 for Cutoff2 Thomas
Jateu_01 Posted June 7, 2016 Author Report Posted June 7, 2016 Is the cut off offset written as above or is there another hex code? Thank you Thomas. James
Thomas Richter Posted June 7, 2016 Report Posted June 7, 2016 Hi, these Offsets are hex address and operate bits. 561A Bit 0 for Cutoff1561A Bit 1 for Cutoff2 The only 'other' Offsets are the FS Offsets listed in the FSUIPC4 Offsets Status.pdf as Mixture (located in ..\Modules\FSUIPC Documents folder), but they are Values not Bits. May be Sim-Avionics uses there own Offsets/ Bits for Cutoff Lever? Thomas

All I'm looking for is the offsets for fuel vales and throttles I see Thomas has kindly looked them up for you, but when you say "searching everywhere", did that include the Offsets list provided with the FSUIPC installer and placed in your FSUIPC Documents folder, or, for Project Magenta, the offsets list provided on the PM website? These would seem to be the places to start, and surely searched before "everywhere" else? Apart from the PM cutoff/idle offset bits, in FS generally the fuel cutoff/idle action is handled by the Mixture setting -- full mixture(value 16383) for idle, zero (0) mixture for cutoff. So for more general application, and maybe even yours, you'd look up the mixture offsets -- not very far from the throttle ones I think. Note also that the throttle forward thrust values are from 0 to 16384. The negative values are for reverse thrust, and maybe be more limited than the 0 to -4096 suggests -- that's a max reverse thrust of 25%. The max is set in the AIRCRAFT.CFG file. Jateu_01 Posted June 8, 2016 Author Report Posted June 8, 2016 Sim Avionics can use user specified offsets. So if cockpit sonic use a specific offset for throttle. It can be added to a section of the software that constantly reads these offsets. As for everywhere. I meant that I have used every version of offset added to offset monitor within sim avionics and I'm getting response! But I know for fact the throttles are working. I have looked up all references of offsets and haven't found one that works. Well avionics report from the above. Will give it a go and get back toy uk both. Many thanks James
Jateu_01 Posted June 8, 2016 Author Report Posted June 8, 2016 3590 And 3594 are the two offsets I had tried for fuel valves as per other offset list but dosent work. Apologies for not adding this to above answer Many thanks James

Apologies for not adding this to above answer So, not the cutoff/idle switches, used when starting the engines? I think those fuel valves automatically open when needed, but I may be corrected on that. Don't forget all of the offsets listed in my list are for default FS values, mostly populated and handled directly to FS via Simconnect. Add-on aircraft will often d things differently. Check things out with a default aircraft first. If it's okay there, then you need something from the add-on aircraft folks to help you. It may not use offsets. Pete
Jateu_01 Posted June 8, 2016 Author Report Posted June 8, 2016 Pete your correct it is the idle cutoff switch when starting I need to use! I'm clearly getting confused here. Will have to have a look again. Thank you.
Banananav Posted July 23, 2016 Report Posted July 23, 2016 Hi James You will find them listed in the Sim-A FSUIPC_IO.INI file. eg for the JETMAX TQ I am using ENGINE_L_FUEL_CONTROL_SWITCH=5452 and the right 5453 Cheers Chris
