M9Aviation Posted August 18, 2020 Report Posted August 18, 2020 Just curious, when using the FSUIPC7 Console Log, does that show any SimConnect event that SimConnect recognizes? Trying to use it to determine which events in MSFS do and dont work, wondering if any time I click a button in the sim (that has a SimConnect event defined), yet do not get a console log entry, does that mean the event does not exist?

No, it means MSFS didn't tell FSUIPC about it. Which means it isn't in the published Event list (which is pretty much the same as FSX's, give or take a few). So either they don't work like those "KEY_EVENTS", or they do but because we don't know about them we cannot ask for them to be monitored (as we do for all the others). Pete
M9Aviation Posted August 18, 2020 Author Report Posted August 18, 2020 Thanks for the clarification. So are you registering to listen for all the events listed in their latest SDK, 0.5.1? Just trying to figure out which events are simply broken .. seems like a lot from the SDK documentation just dont work.

So are you registering to listen for all the events listed in their latest SDK, 0.5.1? FSUIPC7 is currently build against SDK 0.4.1. I don't have the 0.5.1 SDK yet. Once I do, I'll release a update. So, currently we are registering for all events in the 0.4.1 SDK. John

Jacob Wiqvist Posted August 19, 2020 Report Posted August 19, 2020 I get this error message. Program error: (0xc000007b Any one know what to do?

That may mean that you are using a 32-bit SimConnect.dll, rather than the 64-bit one supplied by the MSFS SDK. Where did you get the SimConnect.dll from? If it is the 64-bit one from the MSFS SDK, then see https://ugetfix.com/ask/how-to-fix-application-unable-to-start-error-0x000007b/ This was also reported in this post: And this has nothing to do with the topic in which you posted. If you have an issue, please first look to see if it has already been reported. If not, start a new topic - don't hijack existing topics that are not relevant. Thanks.

Thomas Richter Posted August 20, 2020 Report Posted August 20, 2020 Hi, it is already and in addition you don't need anymore to copy SimConnect.dll into FSUIPC7 folder as it is build in. Just download latest FSUIPC7 installer. A beta version of FSUIPC7 (for MSFS only) is now available for download at the following locations: http://fsuipc.simflight.com/beta/FSUIPC7.zip http://www.fsuipc.com/download/FSUIPC7.zip Thomas
