Are any of the G1000 soft buttons working?

Hi,

I have tried to assign "g1000 mfd soft button 12" in my default C172 to enable me to turn on the mfd at startup. This button doesn't seem to work at the moment.

No, there are many buttons on the G1000 that are not working and/or currently unassignable. This has already been reported to Asobo.

I assume this is also the reason why I can't assign my rotary encoders to functions like "G1000 Mfd Group/Page Inc/Dec"?

Does anybody know of a workaround? I'm having such a hard time using the wedding cakes on the G1000 using the mouse.

I have the same problem... after assigning the rotary encoders for GPS or the G1000 it is not working in FS.

But i have also read that the RealsimGear GNS530 is already working since 13.10. with FS2020! How do they get it to work?

has anyone gotten the soft keys working for the GNS530? I'm using Mobiflight and can't get them to work with the MSFS2020 events either. One of the users said that he did. I'm awaiting a response from him here. MSFS2020 Carenado GNS530 help *SOLVED* (mobiflight.com)

Did you install the MobiFlight WASM module into your MSFS Community folder?
