  1. No, it should send three KEYDOWN and KEYUP pairs. This could be checked using Microsoft Spy++. Regards, Pete
  2. Not with FSUIPC, no. Regards, Pete
  3. You either need to tell WideClient where you want to send the keypress (this is easy if you use the Run.... options to load that program, see the Documentation), OR set "UseSendInput=Yes" in the INI file. Please check the WideFS documentation. There are a lot of ways to do this. Which one is best depends on the program concerned, and I simply do not know them all. Regards, Pete
  4. That's been around for a long time. No. It isn't really possible as far as I can see. The wind smoothing in FS2004 is completely separate and independent of the weather source. It acts at the aircraft only, it doesn't change the winds so much as change the effect on the aircraft. Regards, Pete
  5. Just updating FSUIPC doesn't change any of that. Without knowing what you've done with trim I'm agraid I can't comment. The other matter sounds like a driver problem. If i were you I'd go back to drivers that worked. Regards, Pete
  6. Sorry, I don't know VB.NET. Isn't the example for VB any use with VB.NET or is the .NET version a completely different language? Pete
  7. That is the exact symptom I would expect if there were an illegal user key for FSUIPC or WideFS in the KEY file. Some folks have been using an illegal key generator program to make keys and avoid paying. If you'd like to zip up your KEY file and send it to me at petedowson@btconnect.com I will check it out. Give me your details too and I'll see if you've been deceived somehow. Regards, Pete
  8. 1) PFC.DLL assigns the ALt Air switch to the "Carb Heat/Anti-Ice" control by default, on bith Jeys and Props. 2) The "Carb Heat/Anti-Ice" control is in PFC.DLL's drop down losts of controls which can be programmed in any case. You do not need FSUIPC for controls suported already in PFC.DLL. I'm not sure what resolution is possible for something that's never been changed and which works fine. Perhaps you could explain in more detail if you don't get the correct control programmed by default? Why should it be? Normally regular stuttering like that is due to another process running automatically in your PC, like virus checking, memory optimising, TCP/IP address resolving, etc. Check all your background processes, kill those you don't need. Regards, Pete
  9. That has not been changed. The ALT AIR switch is assigned to the Carb Heat/Anti-Ice control in both columns "Actions with JET" and "Actions with PROP etc". They can be re-programmed, of course, but that is how they operate by default. If you want to reassign the defaults, press the "Predefined Set" button at the bottom right. The Carb Heat/Anti-Ice control is one of the controls listed in PFC.DLLs drop-down list too, so you can also assign it to other buttons should you so wish. Regards, Pete
  10. I don't think FS will let you do that. Regards, Pete
  11. There are settings you can change in FS which minimise, if not entirely eliminate, this sort of problem. I think the documentation for the UK VFR scenery contains some good hints. Don't the MegaScenery folks provide any? No idea about that. There is a "refresh scenery" control listed (see the list of FS controls in the FSUIPC ZIP package). You could program a button or key to do that, but it wouldn't be quick. No, not I. I've never really delved into scenery and graphics matters. John Farrie knows about this stuff (he's the Visual Flight designer). He gave a presentation about it at last year's Blackpool FS Convention. Regards, Pete
  12. The file on the Schiratti site is most definitely for 1.92. Regards, Pete
  13. It must be the program. FSUIPC doesn't care what characters are included. It just allows so many and stops when it sees the terminating zero. You can check this with FSInterrogate, or simply looking at the Flaps section of the FSUIPC Joystick options. Regards, Pete
  14. Download the FSUIPC SDK and check the programmer's guide document. As it says against the offset 3D00 "Valid for FS2K only", with columns for FS2002 and FS2004 marked "Ok". This means the information isn't available from FS98. Further to this, I do not know when FSUIPC started to obtain this data. If it was after version 2.974 then it won't be readable in FS2000 or FS2002 either, with that version. The documentation only refers to the latest version, always. Regards, Pete
  15. This is not an initialisation error and it will not affect any program adversely. The whole point is for the library to deliberately try writing its version number to a read-only location so it will be logged, so that I can see the version number. Unfortunately the version number hasn't been kept up to date so it isn't much use in fact. However, ALL versions of the library have done this since FS2000 days, and FSUIPC has ALWAYS logged it. This is not recent nor unique to one person's system or one program. ALL programs and ALL versions of FSUIPC do it on ALL machines ALWAYS. Regards, Pete
  16. Sorry, I really don't know anything about SA_WXR. Have you asked the author? I can help with questions about FSUIPC programming, but not applications. Regards, Pete
  17. The autofeather arm indicator will reflect the switch setting at 2E88. The Master Warning and Caution lights will be derived from a number of conditions which will be being checked in the gauges which show such things. Regards, Pete
  18. I am sorry, but I do not know FSMetar. You probably need to address your problem to the author, though I notice that you don't have the same problem on a different PC, so perhaps it is a hardware problem. Check setting weather directly in FS. Nothing in the INI file can stop weather programs working. Regards, Pete
  19. Sounds like that device thas a button arranglement to detect full thrust, and you have that button assigned in FS. Check your FS assignments, or, if you are using a registered FSUIPC, go to the buttons page and see if FSUIPC sees the button when you set full throttle. FS's afterburner facility is a button event. It won't operate on an axis. But if your device does have a button on full thrust you should be able to assign that. Regards, Pete
  20. It will do it when you next run FS. It has always worked like this. Remove read-only attributes for INI files. Regards, Pete
  21. Strange. That was a problem with earlier versions, which was fixed in 3.47. I'll re-check here with your files. Thanks. Maybe. I'll check. Regards, Pete
  22. Sounds like a hardware problem, but first try the 1.92 version driver now available. Pete
  23. This is most definitely my last post till April 2nd. I really do have to get some stuff done before I leave. :( The only "page" I have is this Support Forum! If you mean Enrico Schiratti's page, where he lists all my modules for download, then the programs listed on the right are put there by request of whoever wrote them. It is not my page and I know nothing about most of thiem. I think it is a service provided by Enrico. Please read the details on the page. What is this about "advanced" features? It either uses FSUIPC or it doesn't. If it doesn't use FSUIPC it doesn't need a key. If it does, then it needs a key except for users who have paid for and registered their copy of FSUIPC. There's no "grades" of use from "simple" to "advanced"! I don't know where you get that idea from. As yet no one has asked for a key for this "Airplan" program, sorry, and I don't even know it. If it is freeware it is entitled to a free key. Get the author to read the Access Registration document in the FSUIPC SDK. It explains everything. Unfortunately, even it is freeware and he does apply, it will not be till April 2nd that I will now be able to deal with it. Regards, Pete
  24. This will be my last reply till April 2nd. I'm off on holiday. I have listed? No. Sorry, I have never heard of it, let alone "listed" it. I don't have any lists in any case, only the Supported Versions list above and the Freeware Keys list, also above. If it isn't listed here, which it isn't, it isn't my list. This is my only "site". No. No one has ever asked for one. I've never heard of it. Sorry. Programs are entirely separate. One cannot "break" another. 3.47 is the latest. thjere is no 3.62. Where do you get these numbers? If a key "breaks" things it is likely to be a forged (counterfeit) user key. There are a few going round, unfortunately. What's "FSM"? I know that as FSMeteo. Any program accessing FSUIPC will need an access key, or a user registered FSUIPC. Please read the documentation. I have done. But for any further replies from me you will now have to wait until April 2nd. Sorry. Regards, Pete
  25. I disabled XP's firewall. I don't understand any of that stuff. I have a separate router which provides the firewall to the outside world. I don't need nor want any protection between my own PCs! I hope someone else here can help, else you could try the FS2004 Forum. Katy Pluta visits there and has always helped me with Network and XP problems. I wish you and the Mrs. a truly refreshing vacation. 8) Thank you very much! Regards, Pete
