  1. So, are you saying the recently implemented Mouse Macro facility doesn't work with that aircraft? I find it very difficult to help when you provide so little information each time. Pete
  2. I don't know why it thinks your own PC Network is Public. Maybe your Network is defined incorreectly? I think Public/Private differentiation is not just between Internet and Local, but also between, for instance, different departments in a Company network. But I think you have to tell the Firewall that it should allow WideClient.exe and/or Prepare3D.exe. But I'm afraid I can't tell you how to do that -- I've never allowed the Windows firewall to operate on any of my PCs (my Network has 10 PCs -- 7 for the Cockpit alone) as it's a pain I don't want to endure. I do use third party protection (Avast at present, the free version), and I believe that, plus the good protection also provided by the Router, is enough. So, sorry, you'll need to Google it. Yes, that confirms that no sign of the Client came through. Pete
  3. FSUIPC5.Log is not at all relevant. You haven't shown the WideServer.LOG though! Is 192.1168.1.57 the correct IP address for your P3D4 PC? Well, the router could conceivably be causing the problem but it is most unikely. The most likely thing is the Windows Firewall, which has probably got changed by the Windows update. Check it at both ends. Shared folders is a Windows Exploer link, not a Wideclient / FSUIPC link. Firewalls apply to specific programs. WideFS does not use shared folders. Pete
  4. So what are you using now? FSUIPC4 and an updated version of MadDog? Does that stop mouse macros? You would need to re-make them in any case. Pete
  5. So, the event being sent is a "SET" one -- i.e. "set the heading to ...2, not an INC nor a DEC. Evidently it is either the wrong custom control, or the INC / DEC is not supported by the add-on. Have you actually tried their support at all, yet? Seems that all your questions are really about the preculiarity of that aircraft. What "old version", and what's changed? Sorry, you are losing me. Where do macros come into it? Do you mean "mouse macros"? If so, why not try those now, in this "new" version (of MadDog, FS or what)? Pete
  6. NOT "offset" but control or event number. Offsets are places in memory where FSUIPC places data for programs to read! If that's the parameter, it's the parameter! What's the problem? The log shows the parameters, which are the parameters. :-) Pete
  7. Or possibly the USB port still has power management turned on in Windows Device Manager. This option is defaulted on, and the option can cause a seldom used input to power off ("go to sleep"). Always turn off the feature in the properties of all listed USB devices/hubs in device Manager. Pete
  8. The AS_BSTRP DLL is the Active Sky interface into the Sim, and ,yes, it should come after FSUIPC otherwise the weather radar facilities offered by FSUIPC may not work. These sort of weird inexplicable occurrences are usually down to perhaps just one corrupt file. File corruption is usually caused by a crash or a power outage whilst the data is being written, but I suspect there are other causes. Anyway, good to know you are up and running now. Thanks for letting us know. Pete
  9. What event list? My list of controls ("events") does not contain any details about parameters! It's just a list of numbers and names. You could try using FSUIPC event logging, which would show the event/control number and the parameter being used when the event occurs. Pete
  10. Please note I will be off-line till monday (no, not on holiday. Just a weekend with my brother!). Pete

  14. Well, it isn't really a reversal, isi t? In a decimal number like 98765, that '9' is obviously "worth" a lot more than the 5. so it is the higher number. In decimal same as in hexadecimal same as in binary, the "yop" part" (first part written) is worth more, has the higher number. I think I did refer you to a thread in FAQ subforum for more explanation. Yes Sorry, lag in what? was it still doing COMs? So why isn't the Arduino on the same FS PC? Have you tried that? Seems odd splitting the connections to the one TQ between two PCs. So Sim-Avionics plays no part in this?. And things run okay when Sim-Avionics isn't running? If so, doesn't that suggest that Sim-Avionics is monopolising that PC too much? Pete
  15. And did you tell thrm you had not settings in FSUIPC at all? PMDG always seem to do that. Pete
  16. Perhaps you orinigally mistyped your name or email and are therefore registered differently? Are you sure you typed them correctly above, i.e. captzog@sbcglobal.net grovet729@gmail.com because it is exactly those I searched on. I cannot give an approximate email. Pete
  17. I don't know what those are. you need to look at the entries in the Windows Logs- Application list which have the red error emblem and indicate FSX.EXE as the process. So, does the Log always finish there? And soon after loading and just when ready to fly? Or is FSX carrying on longer than two and a half minutes. If it crashes there it almost always indicates that you have a corrupt weather file. Delete your wxstationlist.bin file (in your AppData\Roaming folder for Microsoft Flight Simulator), and the .wx files in your Flight Simulator X Files folder in Documents. Of course, FSX crashing there has no relation at all the FSUIPC missing in the AddOns menu, nor to ChasePlane not working. So perhaps you need to elaborate? Pete
  18. Sorry, there is no "offset 69836". Offsets, normally known in hexadecimal, run from 0000 to FFFF. Possibly you mean "control"? 69836 is well outside the range of normal FS or P3D controls, so I assume you are talking about a "custom control", for the MadDog ... documented in its documentation? You say "FSUIPC event list", but I don't publish an event list featuring such a control! So, I'm afraid i know nothing about this. I think you need help from wherever you got your information. Pete
  19. Seems likely with no add-ons at all! Any details, Windows crash information. Check the Event viewer. I can't help without iformation. The FSUIPC log from that would also be useful. So the CTD occurred WITHOUT FSUIPC loading? If so it obviously isn't FSUIPC causing the CTD. It sounds more like a ChasePlane problem. Have you tested without it? FSUIPC doesn't change the Registry. There is nothing there to "clean" for FSUIPC. If FSUIPC only runs after being freshly installed then the Sim is absolutely certainly crashing on exit. You won't necessarily see that it crashe! You MUST look at the Windows Event Viewer which should record these things, along with needed details! Pete
  20. Sorry. No way has FSUIPC got anything to do with G3D. It'll be an aircraft or scenery corruption. Pete
  21. One thing I realise I don't understand. This "Sim-A" and Throttle Quadrant -- the the one the driver for the other? How are the throttle quadrant values getting to the Simulator? Have you tried enabling Axis Logging in FSUIPC to see how frequently throttle values are arriving? Why not connect the Quadrant to the Sim PC? Pete
  22. FSUIPC has nothing to do with how many devices you connect. How can it possibly stop you? What do you think FSUIPC has to do with installing hardware? It is a software module which interfaces to Flight Simulator, it doesn't handle hardware directly at all! This is the correct Forum for FSUIPC support, but not hardware support. If you cannot connect your second throttle you need to contact the throttle maker For some reason you added your question to a very old thread with the title "How to Remove FSUIPC from Computer", so is that really what you want to know? If not please post your next question in your own thread with a suitable title -- then others can help if I cannot or when I am away. I do not support by email. Pete
  23. That won't override a Protocol=TCP specification in the WideClient.INI file,, but it looks like you didn't add the Server details and Protocol at the Client, so that's okay for automatic connection. LuaAffinityMask=x1 doesn't affect your Lua does it, as you are running that on the Client, aren't you? And why choose Core 0 which is your 100% P3D core? If P3D is using 50% or cores 1 and 2, why have you set ThreadAffinityMask=x6, which is choosing codes 1 and 2 also? Don't you have 6 cores? What is wrong with using Cores 3, 4, and 5 for the FSUIPC-set affinities? Did you not understand and of my explanation of Afflnity Masks above? Early on you asked "should I do some sort of CPU affinity to run the LUA script separate from Sim-A? ". On the Client PC you can only do that by setting the affinity for Sim-A and for WideClient, either using Winddows facilities or one of the programs available to run things with different AMs. Sorry, I don't remember their names. But a simple google search reveals stuff like that shown below. Since they are both on the same PC, I can only think that your Sim-A program is preventing the Lua plug-in running smoothly. Did you try giving it less COM work to do by filtering the values being sent to the COM port to only those which make any difference? I did suggest that way back. Otherwise I think it is time to investigate that Sim-A program, whatever it is. Or write a program running in its own right to do the job you are expecting a lowly script running inside WideClient to perform? 24. Because, as I said: So, you need to find out why your FSx is not terminating properly. It might appear to when you end a session, but it FSUIPC is not loading the next time without a re-install, that is a clear indication that the previous session actually terminated inproperly. Check the Windows Event viewer to see what crashes it has recorded in it Application Logs. There's no need to read any log file! Who asked you to? Pete
  25. Is there? Where? There's absolutely no others about Chaseplane crashing. I think you posted inthe wrong place by mistake? I'm fairly sure that ChasePlane doesn't use FSUIPC. If FSUIPC isn't loading then your previous session of FSX crashed and Windows has marked it not to load. you need to fix the reason for the crash. And why delete the INI file? That removes all of your settings. If you don't use FSUIPC why is it installed? That's most definitely nothing to do with FSUIPC. sorry. Go to ChasePlane support. The INI file merely shows that you aren't using FSUIPC for anything. The Logs show nothing except a good FSUIPC session lasting only 3 minutes and one minute before you closed the session. You really are in the wrong place! Sorry. Pete
