  1. Matthias: You can correct most missing airports and missing airlines by downloading the airport and airlines files at: http://forum.simflight.com/topic/76191-tower-schedule-creator-14-including-newark-kewr/
  2. I just ran an Atlanta scenario and did not see the results you reported in the log file. The entries in the airports.txt file must have a specific format. Atttached is the CLE part of my airports file for comparison. Disregard the underlines in the name of the airport--they don't matter. If you can find those flights in your schedule, check to see if the airline involved is in the "airlines.txt" file and if the airline has a terminal assignment in the "Atlanta_airport_terminal.txt" file in the airfields folder. cle-example.txt
  3. Glad you found the solution! I have put a "run as administrator" notice on the posting. Thanks for contacting me.
  4. I have run a couple of tests with my UAC set to maximum protection. The system will not allow files to be written to the C drive in either "path" or "no path" mode. However, I could use the "path" mode to write to other drives on my system. If you have more than one drive on your system, try creating your file on that drive. I always have my UAC set to "no protection" so I had not noticed this before. If you only have one drive, then you will have to lower your UAC protection to a point where files can be written to your drive.
  5. Well, that is a puzzle. I just downloaded the file to my system, changed the extension to .exe, and ran a test on the NY sector. It worked just fine and created the the file. I used the "no path" option and found the default file c:\tracon_schedule.txt on my hard drive. So, I don't know what advice to give you. Perhaps download the file again. There have been no changes made since it was first uploaded. I assume you have one of your drives defined as C. I have received no comments from other users.
  6. Recall that FedEx is FDX not FED. Actually, feelThere got it wrong at Seattle!
  7. I just ran a schedule for MIA containing 2880 flights and it contained 115 by NAC, 10 by FedEx, and 60 by UPS. The NAC number is high and I am making it more realistic in the next release of Schedule Creator. As far as the 767, that was an arbitrary choice on my part as the real NAC seems to fly only 737 (I think they have a fleet of 5-6 serving mostly Alaska)--the 767 is among the most popular freighters. In the next version, I have the flights distributed among 767 and 747. Maybe I will change that to distribute them among 737, 767, and 747--but lots of Tower users prefer the "big" jets. You can always edit the schedule file if you would prefer only the 737. Since neither FDX or UPS are included in Real Traffic, but NAC is, I guess the developers had to choose NAC. As far as seeing flights, have you edited your terminal file as described in item 4 of the original post? Thanks for your comments.
  8. Schedule Creator already contains the only New York airport released so far, JFK. Newark (EWR) is supposed to be next. Schedule Creator Tracon already contains the New York sector. Sectors and airports are handled quite differently although the schedule files are similar. Standby for Newark!
  9. Thanks. Give Schedule Creator a try...it is quite straightforward to use. I am here if you need help.
  10. Thanks. I appreciate the feedback. These items (charts, Schedule Creator, Schedule Creator Tracon) have been download thousands of times and you are one of the few who has ever commented on them. If you have any suggestions, let me know and I will try to make improvements.
  11. Have you updated your Los_Angeles_Airport_Termimal.txt file in the Airfields folder? Mine looks like this these days. The default Tower version is missing many airlines included in Schedule Creator. Aircraft will not appear in the sim unless they have a terminal and a gate. Terminal_TBIT: AFL,BER,AFR,FJI,THT,ANA,AAR,BAW,CPA,CAL,CES,CSN,ELY,UAE,EVA,IBE,JAL,KAL,LAN,LPE,DLH,MAS,PAL,QFA,SIA,SWR,THA,TSO,THY Terminal_1: TRS,SWA,AWE Terminal_2: AMX,ACA,CCA,AFR,ANZ,AZA,TFL,HAL,KLM,SCX,LRC,TAI,AVA,VIR,VOI,WJA Terminal_3: JBU,NKS,VRD,VOZ Terminal_4: AAL,EGF,QFA Terminal_5: DAL Terminal_6: ASA,AAY,CMP,FFT,GLA,UAL Terminal_7: UAL Terminal_8: SKW Terminal_GA: GA
  12. Are you referring to the Schedule Creator schedules you created, or the Real Traffic schedule? Arriving flights will not appear unless there is an open gate for parking at their terminal so it is good to have the departures slider set a little higher than the arrival slider. Even though you have lots of flights in a schedule, it is always gate-limited. Also, the time you choose is factor. Need a few more details.
  13. Thanks for the update. Here are the two FlightAware entries from JFK for Aeroflot on January 24, 2014 on which the schedule is based. I will check for the latest and make any corrections in a future release. AFL103 A320 Sheremetyevo Int'l (UUEE / SVO) Thu 19:48 EST Fri 13:38 MSK Fri 13:38 MSK AFL101 A320 Sheremetyevo Int'l (UUEE / SVO) Thu 14:56 EST Fri 08:53 MSK 08:53 MSK (+1) (?) And, here are today's departure entries from FlightAware for AFL flights between JFK and SVO Aeroflot AFL103 A333 Aeroflot AFL101 A333 Aeroflot AFL103 A320 Aeroflot AFL101 A320 Aeroflot AFL2585 A321 Aeroflot AFL2303 A320 Aeroflot AFL2303 A320 So, I guess it all depends on when you are looking.

  15. These charts are based on the Nyerges "Real Traffic" schedule file, "schedule.txt." The times are UTC based on standard time. The same graphs can also be used for the default installation of Tower! 2011. The only apparent difference between the schedules is the airlines and aircraft. To use the graphs, refer to the time you wish to start. For example, at LAX at 07:00 UTC you can expect 24 arrivals and 26 departures in the next hour if your sliders are set to max, there is space available at the arrival gates, etc. Flights will not appear at an airport unless (1) the airline is present in the “airlines.txt” file, (2) the arrival/departure airport is present in the “airports.txt” file, (3) the airline has been assigned a terminal in the airport’s terminal file, and (4) there are empty parking spots at the assigned terminal. You can update your airports and airlines by referring to the Schedule Creator topic in this forum. I usually keep my departures slider set higher than my arrivals slider to try to ensure some parking space. The time listed on the horizontal axis is the time you enter into Tower! 2011 on the start page. 16. Schedule Creator TRACON 11 RFN (Real Flight Numbers) is available as a zip archive. Just download and unzip, and you should be able to run the .exe file. Be sure to "Run as Administrator." Schedule Creator TRACON 11 RFN.zip Released on February 4 2015 Sectors included: Atlanta, Dubai, Frankfurt, Las Vegas, London2 (2 airports), London3 (3 airports), London5 (5 airports), Los Angeles, Miami, New York, and North California. ====================================================================================================================================== Schedule Creator TRACON 11 includes the same airport data used in Schedule Creator 15 RFN. This version also lists a summary of airlines and their number of flights. To experience Schedule Creator TRACON fully, I recommend that you add/install/modify the airports and airline text files as outlined in the comments for Schedule Creator 15. http://forum.simflight.com/topic/76191-tower-schedule-creator-15-v3-real-flight-numbers-released-revision/. The required files are included below. ===== Files for modification steps ========================================================================================================= Airlines to Add-Disable Tracon 9.txt Airports 247 for Tracon 9.txt
  17. Schedule Creator 24 V1 is now available. This version uses real flight numbers based on the data posted on FlightAware for each airport. Each airport has a specific number of unique flights based on this data. This number is listed in the airport selection menu. If you choose the number of flights (recall this must be an even number) to be less than or equal to the number of unique flights, then only the unique flights will be included in the schedule. If you choose the number of flights to be greater than the number of unique flights, then all the unique flights, plus a random set of the unique flights, will be included in the schedule. There will be no duplicate flight numbers. If you want to use only the unique flights, especially at the smaller airports, choose a short time sequence so that you have enough flights to keep it interesting. Note that you will no longer be asked to enter to largest flight number you want to use; otherwise the instructions are the same as previous versions. Airports through Toronto (CYYZ), except St. Thomas, are included. Comments about Toronto: Add the following to the "airlines.txt" file in the "databases" folder. WEN,WR,ENCORE,WESTJET ENCORE,CANADA Comments about Key West: There are only 24 unique flights in the dataset. Comments on Terminal Files: I do not have copies of the terminal files for all the latest airports so cannot say how many of the airlines in the SC dataset actually have terminals assignments. If someone is interested, they could send me those files by personal message. 1. Please read the "Schedule Creator 19 Comments" before running the application or making any of the recommended edits. Significant changes are recommended to the "airports.txt", "airlines.txt" and each airport's terminal assignment file. 2. You must have Nyerges' "Real Traffic" installed to use Schedule Creator. 3. This version also contains cargo flights--Northern Air Cargo (NAC/NC; the default Tower cargo carrier) will appear at all airports, except LAX, while FedEx (FDX/FX) and United Parcel Service (UPS/5X) will appear if they actually have service to the airport. To see these flights, you must add FDX and UPS to your "airlines.txt" file (they are not in Real Traffic), and edit the terminal assignment files for each airport (except LAX--no cargo terminal unless you created one---you can create your own simple cargo terminal at LAX as outlined in the attachment). In order to see the flights by FedEX, UPS, and Northern Air Cargo, edit the cargo terminal file at each airport to look something like this: Terminal_Cargo: FDX, UPS, NAC. 4. 18. Thanks for this version, Pete. The new window to replace AdvDisp in Radar Contact is brilliant! Will there be an option to change the font and color in a future version? I don't see red very well. Thanks for all your good work! I am proud to be a registered user. --R Parker
  19. It does not sound like MasterBaker actually has AdvDisp running. Maybe he forgot to activate through the FS9 menu "Modules". He should be seeing a separate window, not the translucent FS9 window.
  20. After reading everyone's comments and links, I went back to nVidia driver 71.89 WHQL. There may be later ones that perform well but I had good experience with this one when it was new. I now have no problems using AA 8xS with AdvDisp and FS9 performs well, also. I will stick with 71.89 but continue to test any new drivers that appear -- the latest is 81.95 WHQL. Thanks to all.
  21. What monitor resolution do you use, and how would you rate the quality of the "picture" in FS9 with FS9 AA turned on? You're right, almost everyone recommends FS9 AA off -- it's been so long since I read all that I don't remember why. Thanks for the info.
  22. I think it is the driver also, but it shows the same effect with the last few nVidia WHQL drivers. I don't think FS9 is a major concern of nVidia although their release notes do mention it once in a while. Do you have any contacts there? Regards, and Happy Holidays.
  23. Hi, Pete. I have also discovered that when my AA is set to 8xS, the "checklist" box in FS9 (pressing F10) also blackens the screen completely from the top of the box to the bottom of the screen. So, it not just something I see with AdvDisp. Thanks.
  24. What you are seeing is that although I had switched to full screen "spot view", the cockpit view was still visible from the top of the AdvDisp box to the bottom of the screen -- that is what I meant by freezing. After some more experimenting, it seems that running my video card on AA 8xS is the culprit -- the AF does not seem to matter. As far as "latest version" goes, I was just indicating that I was using AdvDisp 2.14 -- I have backed up versions all the way from 1.97 to 2.14 -- I guess your comment that it has not changed is a little confusing -- why we have new version numbers available every few months? Thanks for your help. Best regards.
  25. When I start AdvDisp (latest version), my FS9 display gets cutoff and "frozen" from the top of the AdvDisp box to the bottom of the screen. This happens whether docked or undocked. The attached screenshot (partial) shows what I mean. This was taken by moving from the cockpit to the spot view. I was in the cockpit of the LDS-767 and then moved to spot view. Sometimes, the cutoff portion is completely black. I am using FS9.1 and a eVGA GeForce 6800U card (81.95 WHQL driver). I have FS AA off, and card AA at 8X and AF at 16X. I only see this with AdvDisp. Any suggestions? Thanks.
