We are not (and not planning in the future either) simulating emergencies in Tower! franchise for moral and legal reasons.
1. I do not believe he was talking about crashes or explosions. Just an occasional aircraft with low fuel or a medical emergency that requires priority over the other aircraft in the area. Perhaps I am missing something, but I don't see what kind of moral or legal issues that could raise; certainly no more so that two aircraft that receive a collision alert. I do not mean to be flippant here, but it would create an interesting challenge, and would be worth considering at some point.
2. With dynamic weather, will the wind ever change, requiring a pattern shift?

There is a tendency for arrival direction to take precedence, especially during times of heavy arrival traffic. However, when the traffic flow is lighter, gate location will often receive more priority. Keep in mind though that this is a generality, and that every airport develops its own distinct nuances. Runway and taxiway layout obviously can make a huge difference in what makes more sense at a given field.

I was able to find Real Traffic for Tower!2011 on another site: https://www.fspilotshop.com. It is for the same price as on the feelthere.com store. It actually worked! It downloaded to the Tower 2011! directory and changed the airlines to the real world airlines. Thanks to all the users who helped me: Salad, mc16v, Scoobflight. I appreciate your assistance! I knew something had to be wrong...still don't know if it was me or the program, but at least the issue is fixed. Thanks again!
Was the version number the same, SP2_16?

I don't think it is possible to tell an aircraft which exit to take, nor right or left.
I do not mean in the game. I mean in the editor. There must be some way that this is designated when designing an airport. I just do not understand what it is, or what criteria may be used to determine it?

Uhm....
any details on the system requirements for this new version?

What determines where an arriving aircraft exits the runway and whether it exits left or right? It there a way to have aircraft bound for one terminal to exit right and those for those going to another to to exit left? I looked in the editor instructions and could not find info on this, but perhaps I just missed it.

I am having the same problem after reinstalling with newly downloaded files. I understand that this is a newly updated version of Real Traffic. Is it possible that something is wrong with either the installer or with the file that they uploaded to the server? I tried redownloading it,and still get the same thing - no Real Traffic. Could someone check with Nyerges Design?
-
I must say that I am pleasantly surprised by the price.

Will Real Traffic for T3D be released at the same time?
And will the Real Traffic include the equivalent of Real color, or will that be separate like in T!2011?

Folks,
We have a source for the satellite images and as fresh it is the fresh we can make the airports.
Vic
ps.: why does Thursday called as "announcement Thursday" I wonder.. :) :)
Not to belabor the point, but this still does not explain why your picture shows a terminal at KJFK that has not existed since October of 2011. Here is a pic of its imprint after demolition: See also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sundrome.

Thanks. In the meantime, Is there a simple way to use the schedule that comes with the add-on, without having to uninstal-reinstal the whole sim? Installing KLGA did not overwrite the SC schedule that was in Tower!2011 from the last time I used it.
-
Looks like KLGA is out. I do hope you will do an update of SC that includes it. I've been waiting for them to get around to this one for years. THX
-
It's not as though it just happened last week. If I understand correctly, that terminal was closed and demolished back in 2011, probably already gone or nearly so at the time that the Tower!2011 version of KJFK was published. Weird. On the other hand, I guess it gives us a few extra parking slots to play with...

Is anyone else perplexed/conflicted by the recent release of so many new add-on airports for Tower!2011? I do envision continuing to use T2011 for some time, while I wait for T!3D to be fortified with a reasonable number of add-on airports, but am unsure about purchasing any new ones. I honestly feel very tempted by a couple of them (especially since they are included in the Memorial Day sale), but am having a hard time justifying the purchase with the new platform being right around the corner. Does anyone else feel the same way?
I want to make it clear that I am NOT making light of the effort that went into developing these new airports. Indeed, it makes me feel a little sad. If they had been released a year ago, I would have snapped most of them up instantly. Please share your thoughts on this.

Don't think its New York. The terminals are not similar to any at JFK, EWR, or LGA.
Wait, I take that back. MC16v is right; it is the old Terminal 6 at JFK. I'll be darned. I get that airports change frequently, but why make the airport out of date from the moment of publication?
-
Makes sense. Of course, if there was a way to see what gate/ramp a particular flight was destined for, then it would be simple matter for reassigning the runway prior to landing. Will T!3D or T!3DPro allow the user to see the destination gates of arrivals while still in the air?
-
Strongly agreed. I find this particularly annoying at KATL, when cargo planes land on the south runway, but need to travel to the North Cargo ramp, it is so far away that there is no routing that they will accept in spite of the fact that there are numerous viable ways to get there. It leavse the arriving aircraft permanently stuck on the exit from the runway, and all I ever hear is , "We request a more logical route..." I request some more logical pilots!
-
Gate assignments are made by airline, and can be viewed or altered by going to the "Airfields" folder in the Tower!2011 directory, and searching for the file: Newark_Airport_terminal.txt. More information can be found on how best to modify this file in the Sticky post by David Parker at the top of this forum, and specifically in the file below:

Dear Folks,
I can confirm editing of the schedules will be still possible in fact in an easier way than before :)Very glad to hear it, as it makes a huge difference in the long-term enjoyability of the game.

Thanks for the update, Vic. It really helps when you do that fairly regularly. Otherwise we begin to worry that you hit some sort of major setback, or that, perhaps someone from the competition kidnapped you and whisked you away to Antarctica. I would like to see what some of the different view options look like.

All I can say is that distributor seems to be taking a very long time. Vic posted about that last Thursday.
-
On the other hand, such videos do not make themselves. Would you rather them work on finishing the game or dinking around making movies?
-
Hi Vic,
It has been several days without news. Could we possibly have an update on what is happening with release?
How do I know if Real traffic installed
in ATC Simulators

I have been in contact with Nyerges. They have seen this tread and are searching for a solution to the problem.
