With FlightControlReplay 5 you are covered if you fly the Fenix A320 for MSFS. Your replay with this advanced airliner add-on will be accurate with these animated parts in their accurate positions during the flight session : Ailerons, Flaps, Spoilers, Reversers.

It's a popular and technical sim that deserves a custom support and special effort to make sure that you get the best out of it.

I did it
-return to MSFS main menu

-Reload B777 PMDG

-Ready to fly and launch session.

... then i load my replay but ... it's same. The Plane is crasy, 980kts (normally my video is a final approach around 180kts), full alarm, vibration, RAT out.

i just tried a new flight (KJFK to KLAS) and it's good with your instructions. I think my previous save was corrupt.
thx for your help

Note for your information (for next update), in the replay mode, the front wheel of the B777 PMDG doesn't work. it stays straight during the turning movements.

Is it possible for the engine parameters to be recorded correctly in the Fenix? They seem to default to TOGA during replay.

Hi !

I ll check and i ll try my best support correct engine level (also if these params dont affect the replay anyway)

FlightControlReplay 5 has the necessary features to let you record and replay your soaring activities in MSFS. You can activate the Play Multi Objects option. And then both the towing aircraft and your user flying glider will be detected in FlightControlReplay 5.

All details and a quick tutorial in the User Manual will help you to get you started step-by-step !

The record session can even save the whole launch part of your flight. Enjoy new ways of entertainment with Microsoft Flight Simualtor and FlightControlReplay 5.

Do not worry about running FlightControlReplay during a whole flight from takeoff to landing ! With its integrated technology for File Compression, the replay files are limited in size without loss of data or quality.

FlightControlReplay has also options to help you if you want to start recording only the takeoff (stop triggered by crossing an altitude), or only the approach and landing (start triggered by crossing an altitude).

But if you want to use it without setting up any option, your disk will not be full quickly : one hour flight will generate a FCR file of slightly above 30 MB per hour of flight. For example, my last flight between LAX and SFO in PMDG 777 generated a 47 Mb file.

And in the end, you have another helpful feature built-in FlightControlReplay : select the useless part and cut your replay !

Hi, I have a question.

Why do some landings feel smooth&perfect in-flight but look like they slammed down hard in the replay?

I frequently use FENIX/PMDG on WIN11/DX12 with DLSS3 mode.

FCR V5 frequency set by 60/s or Auto

thx.

Hi,

That's exactly the topic of my next post that I edited before I read your question.
Make sure you follow my advice, and check how is the aircraft behavior in Replay compared to the Video Recording. For Video Recording, try reducing the FPS to lower the performance impact.

One of the most common questions I receive among the support requests for FlightControlReplay 5 is about difficulties of Replay with advanced aircraft airliners like PMDG or Fenix. And the best advice is in the manual of course.

When you finished to record your replay, save it. And now here's what you need to do :
1. Return to the main menu of MSFS. Yes, finish your flight !
2. Reload again your aircraft, the best is at the airport where you want to watch the replay, but it is not mandatory. FCR5 will reposition your aircraft above the accurate scenery anyway depending on the moment selected on the Replay timeline slider. Click Ready To Fly !
3. When your aircraft is ready and fresh for a new session, load the Replay file in FCR5 and start to Play.

This simple procedure is required to reset the advanced model aircraft settings and the position of its animated parts. This will ensure that FlightControlReplay take control accurately of your aircraft during Replay. Otherwise, if you load the Replay directly after your landing/parking, you may have problems of airspeed and animations.

Totally revamped, FlightControlReplay has now a modern design, reorganized layout and icons, and it’s also integrated directly into MSFS toolbar.

Customize the User Interface : 3 different sizes available, transparency mode has been added, Always-on-Top option can be activated.

Do you want more features directly accessible ?

Do you prefer the minimum space on your screen ?

Do you need it always visible but with minimum impact ?

Find the best combination for your personal use, FlightControlReplay 5 also supports VR headsets, and multi-monitors setups.

FCR INTEGRATED IN MSFS

Keep control of your tool directly from MSFS without leaving the simulator window. FlightControlReplay 5 is also displayed in MSFS and added to the simulator toolbar. Record, Play, fly with a Ghost, move the timeslider directly in MSFS.

INNOVATIONS

Fly LIVE with an AI GHOST right beside your plane. And it will not just replicate your current flight path, it will be impacted by the winds and speeds alteration. Flying Formation has never been that easy ever. The AI Pilot will follow you in the position and with the distance of your preference.

Cinematic Replay automatically switches the camera view when you replay your flight. It will alternate with External / Internal points of view. Options let you set a preference if you want only External, only Internal, or both automatic. Just seat back and watch your flight Replay without intervention!

Monitor your pilot skills at landing : the new Landing Report displays your vertical speed and airspeed at touchdown.

FlightControlReplay will keep included all existing features already available in the current version 4.5 :

  • MP4 Video Recorder,

Hi.
Can you send me an email at support [at] flightcontroltools.com , specifying your PC specs (RAM, Windows version, CPU, Graphic card and quantity of memory) ?
And give a bit more of details if you are using a specific mode of FlightControlReplay when you have this issue (Recording MP4 video for example, or another one depending on what you are doing in FCR at this time).
Thanks.

What's coming next about FlightControlReplay in this end of year 2024 and in 2025 ?

FlightControlReplay 5 (FCR5) will support both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020), and still Prepar3D v6 / v5. Existing customers of FCR5 will be able to use it on both platforms MSFS24/MSFS20 free of charge, you just need your original licence from SIMMARKET.com

In Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be included FlightControlReplay Embedded for all users as already announced by Microsoft and Asobo Studio at FSexpo Las Vegas last june 2024. This means that you will have an integrated tool for Replay, Instant Replay, Ghost to fly live in formation, FlyBy Camera in Replay, PlayAsAI to assign a saved flight path to an AI pilot beside your own aircraft.

To make it clear, if you already have FCR5, you will have its full load of features still at your disposal in MSFS2024 free of charge. If you don't have FCR5, well, you can still purchase it to receive the full features in MSFS24 and in MSFS20 at once.

And in all cases, FCR Embedded will bring anyway the basics of Replay, integrated and optimized, directly into the new simulator MSFS24. More details will come in the next weeks.

YouTubers still enjoy FlightControlReplay according to their videos featured last week :

FlightControlReplay 5 features Cinematic Replay, exclusively for Microsoft Flight Simulator, enhancing replay experiences with automatic camera switching. This innovative functionality allows users to sit back and enjoy a dynamic viewing experience without manual intervention, as the active view shifts seamlessly between different available camera angles. Whether you're replaying a breathtaking landing or admiring scenic landscapes, the automatic camera cycling adds a cinematic touch to your replays.

With this feature, users have the flexibility to customize their viewing experience. They can choose to focus solely on external cameras, internal cockpit views, or select the automatic mode, which combines both for a balanced and engaging replay. The Cinematic Replay feature amplifies immersion by presenting flights from various perspectives, making it perfect for content creators or those who simply want to relive their most stunning flights in a more engaging way.

Save the frustration of Crashing-To-Desktop (CTD) the simulator during a flying session ! FlightControlReplay 5 is capable of resuming your flight from the last known position.

In the Options, General tab, activate the Recovery CTD feature. FlightControlReplay 5 will regularly save a file to resume your flight after a Crash-To-Desktop.

In case of such event, you will be able to load the last saved flight and it will restart from the position near where you were before the crash. If you fly with an advanced addon aircraft, its custom systems data may not be fully restored as it is not a panel system recovery option.
