FlightControlReplay v5 [Released]

Hello,

You can use FlightControlReplay hands free. During the recording session, just focus on your flight controls, the weather, your departure/arrival procedures and just let my tool handle automatically the start of the recording at least.

If you want to do so, you have the choice between two options :

1. Enable Automatic Recording : that will initiate a Recording everytime that you start a new flight. And the Recording ends when you return in the main menu of Flight Simulator when the flight has been completed.

2. Start Recording automatically if you fly : select the additional setting Above or Below, and specify the altitude of your choice. 
- With Above setting, your recording session start will be triggered when you fly above the selected altitude, so you will avoid for example the taxi rolling and initial departure phase of your flight in the Replay.
- With Below setting, at the contrary, the recording will automatically be triggered when you fly your approach and descend under the selected altitude. You will avoid all the previous phase of your flight, including cruise and initial descent, and you will only record the last part of your flight until you click stop at the parking for example.

3. In the menu Options / Audio, activate Voice Recognition. And say RECORD to start record in your microphone. Say STOP to stop the recording session.

4. In the menu Options / Shortcuts, select your device (controller or keyboard) and assign a hot key for the RECORD action.

FlightControlReplay utility has several options that helps you to manage your flight without being disturbed by your recording tool, so read the manual for more details and suggestions of this kind.

Thanks to Q8pilot youtuber, you can discover the fantastic Fly-By camera feature of FlightControlReplay 5 in Microsoft Flight Simulator :  place easily a spotter view on the side of the runway, or from a fixed point of view in the air, and just watch your airplane evolving nearby your position during taxi, takeoff, landing, or just in cruise !

Learn how to use the Fly-By camera settings for the best view and camera position : distance, angle, position. That's all customizable to to fit the best with your needs and preference.

I have tried the flightcontrolreplay V5 it’s an amazing mod and I like especially to fly with the ghost plane to simulate a formation flight ! So I have a question : will it be possible in the future to fly with more than 1 ghost plane ?

More than 1 ai pilot flying live has not been possible due to technical limitations in MSFS. My alternative, is to invite you to try PlayAsAI, that have an unlimited number of pilots for flying formation. The major difference is that it is for use in Replay mode, not live flight.

I can start revealing the content to expect of the next free update for FlightControlReplay 5. In April2024 update, you will be able to record and replay your sessions with Dune Expansion in Microsoft Flight Simulator !

The ornithopter will be replayed accurately, with its animated parts in the accurate position and with realistic animation during your various phases of flight when you have FlightControlReplay 5.

These kind of original expansions provided for free by Microsoft upon popular licences, like they did for Top Gun, are well appreciated by the flight sim community and I always try to support MSFS enthusiasts when it's possible. Top Gun - Maverick pack for MSFS has been also supported since a long time although they make you fly in specific missions, only FlightControlReplay 5 have this wide support coverage.

In "GHOST" / options, the "0°" or "180°" settings do not put the plane in front or behind,
it is in the "2" for "0°" and
“7” for “180°”
do you know in which file I can modify this?

Hi,

This is not editable anywhere else than in my options menu, what was the aircraft model (and third party developer) that you were using ? Can you repeat this issue with other aircraft models ?

Make sure you have the latest version of both

• FlightControlReplay (to download from your SIMMARKET customer account) 
• the latest version of the FBW as well.

After the recording session, go back to MSFS menu (end the flight). Launch again the aircraft in MSFS world, click Ready for Takeoff. Now load and start the Replay, it should work.

SIMMARKET representatives reported to me also that several users reached their booth at the recent FSweekend 2024 show in Lelystad Netherlands with the expectation to meet with me. Just like you as users, the flightsim development is only a hobby beside my main activity with also family duties during weekends, so it's not always easy to join the flight sim events.

Hey,

The advanced simulation of the Airbus A320 by Fenix for MSFS is probably the most popular and appreciated of the existing airliner add-ons. With their recent updates and expansion announcements for A319/A321, it's useful to remind that FlightControlReplay 5 comes with Custom Support for this aircraft.

Those complex 3D models with numerous animated parts, controlled by intricated simulated systems, do not use the simple and SDK compliante bits of code. That's why I have to look up carefully and adds dedicated programming scripts to ensure that FlightControlReplay will actually detect the exact animation information, position, speed, status, so they can be accurately replayed after your recording session : supported parts are Spoilers, Flaps, Gear and Reversers. Just don't forget that Replay with an advanced aircraft requires to reload a new flight from MSFS, and then only you can load the Replay .FCR file.

End of April is coming fast and my announced update with MS Dune  Expansion support is not ready yet, so I prefer to be honest and it's going to be renamed probably May24 Update ! I'm still working on it before it's yours.

Dear Fabio. I love FlightControlReplay. I have two requests please:

1. the custom camera angles don't seem to persist. I often have to go through and select them all again. Can they persist between sessions, please?

2. Can the current camera angle be shown in the app (small text)? There are some camera angles I don't like so much, but I don't know what ones to delete, as I don't know which angle they are (Eg external #3 or external #7 etc).
