Axis problem with FSUIPC6 - Done
John Dowson replied to Chal53's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
Do you have axis assigned in P3D? If so, remove them, or, better still, disable controllers completely in P3D if you are doing all your assignments in FSUIPC. Note that P3D has a tendancy to re-assign your axis when recognised if you do not disable controllers. If thats not your issue, could you please post your ini and log files. -
Multiple issues with traffic density/control
John Dowson replied to airbadger's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
Can you download and try the latest version (6.0.3) as this seems to have fixed the UI issue. As for your zapper issue, I'm not sure but it may have to do with your Cylinder Alt Difference setting. I'll check this in the coming days but there are currently quite a few things at a higher priority, so this may take a while. Let me know if the latest version fixes your UI issue please. John -
pfchid64.dll which folder?
John Dowson replied to jstefan's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
It should be version 5.1.3. I've just re-upload the zip - can you download and try again please. John -
pfchid64.dll which folder?
John Dowson replied to jstefan's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
It has to go with the FSUIPC6.dll, in the installation folder that you selected during the installation process. If you cannot remember where that is, use the 'Open Folder' button in the FSUIPC Logging tab. John -
FSUIPC6 preventing P3Dv5 closing fully
John Dowson replied to Scotfleiger's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
So this occurs with FSUIPC6 being the only add-on? Could you download and try v6.0.2 please. No specific fix for this (as I cannot reproduce) but I would like to know if the problem still exists in this version for you. -
WideFS in both P3Dv4 and V5 possible ?
John Dowson replied to GSalden's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
If you choose to. When you run the installer, you can select the P3D versions in which you want to install FSUIPC6. If you select both, you will have a single FSUIPC6 installation for both sims. Or you could just select v5 and just install it there, keeping FSUIPC5 for P3Dv4. Or you can run the installer twice, and have separate FSUIPC6 installations for each sim, up to you. WideFS is comprised of WideServer and WideClient. The WideServer element is built-into FSUIPC from version 4 onwards, so WideServer will be available when you run v4 or v5 with FSUIPC5 or 6. Just make sure you also register your WideFS key when you register your FSUIPC6 key. That shouldn't be an issue. Maybe use separate installations initially while you do this. You can always combine them later (by just re-running the installer and selecting both sims to install into) if needed. John -
Problem with FSUIPC.6 registration
John Dowson replied to Rocoflo's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
Sorry, but that picture is far too small to see anything - and also shouldn't be posted if it shows your registration details... Are you registering both FSUIPC6 and WideFS or just FSUIPC6? If the former, are you registering with the same or different name and/or email? What do the pop-ups actually say? Maybe you can give me your order numbers and dates of purchase and I can check the registration here. -
I meant the updated one I posted above. It should hopefully work for your set-up, but its not easy for me to test this fix myself right now. If you mean it's too late, then hopefully this issue will be fixed the next time you install..
-
Could you possibly try that installer first?
-
No need to do that! The software should be able to handle your set-up....
-
Hi John, could you try this installer for me please: http://www.fsuipc.com/download/Install_FSUIPC6.zip This should create a Docs folder in your selected installation directory if it can't write to your windows Documents folder. Thanks, John
-
Ok, thanks. An FSInterrogate document is also installed in the Documents folder if FSInterrogate is installed, so it may be that. The installer currently also aborts if it can't write to the Documents folder. I'll revise this over the weekend. Would be good to know why it can't write there though - I'll do some tests on this over the weekend as well.
-
You should have just turned off documents, and selected the others as required. Could you also try creating an FSUIPC6 folder in your Documents folder (OneDrive) to see if it installs with this pre-created? I'll look into this over the weekend, and maybe default to a Documents folder under the installation directory if it can't create one in the Documents folder. I can also make the documents available to you separately if you like, although please try the above first. John
-
Ah, ok - thanks Luke. But there is nothing I can do this in the installer, except perhaps by handling the error better. I'll look into it. I'll also update the installation manual to include this info. John - try changing that setting to 'on' and then re-running the installer. to see if it works. You can always revert back afterwards.

Problem with FSUIPC.6 registration

...and I've just noticed that you posted in the FAQ section. Please do not do this - always post in the main support forum. I have moved your post. John -

Did you click the Register button? If so, what did the pop-up or pop-ups say after you clicked this? -
Multiple issues with traffic density/control
John Dowson replied to airbadger's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
Ok, I've just checked in v4 and yes, there seems to be a problem with the UI. Very strange.....I'll look into it... I don't think this should affect the functionality though, apart from the UPPER limit. You could try setting this directly in the ini file instead for the time being. -
The installer cannot create a folder in your OneDrive Documents folder for some reason. No idea why this is. Other than that, it seems to be installed ok. Try installing without the documents for the time being (i.e. uncheck the documents section when installing). This should allow you to install and register. Or you could try to manually create an FSUIPC6 folder under Documents and see if it will use that. Probably also remove this sub-folder from OneDrive for the time being. I use OneDrive but I remove various document folders from using it, especially ones used by LM, as this has also given me grief using multiple PCs on the same account but with different configs.
-
I am also using OneDrive and have no problems with the installation. What exactly 'simply will not work'? You previously posted that it was a OneDrive issue but your problem was solved. You should really change the installation location. It defaults to where the add-on.xml will be created, but it is better to install in a separate location. The add-on.xml is always created under your windows Documents folder, as prescribed by LM. Have you moved the default location of this by any chance? Either way, it should work. What actually happens during the install? Do you have an install log created (either in the same location as the installer, or in your installation directory)? If so, please show it to me.

Multiple issues with traffic density/control
John Dowson replied to airbadger's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
So the LOWER limit is missing....very strange...I have no idea what could be causing this.... Try downloading the latest installer and re-installing first (as there was also a minor update this morning, a correction to lua config paths). Other than that, I have no idea what could be causing that UI config item to be missing... How do you know this? Are you monitoring the traffic count offsets or using the Traffic Toolbox? If so, please post more information. There may be no AI traffic within your parameter range (not sure if it still makes a sound if no AI traffic deleted, I'll check....) -

Difficult to see whats in your image as its cropped. This is the default traffic tab (as shown in the User Guide): Do you not see this? -
Multiple issues with traffic density/control
John Dowson replied to airbadger's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
I think you are looking in the wrong place. Try the Traffic tab (and take a look at the User Guide!). -
Sorry, what do you mean? All your settings, including profiles, are saved to your ini file (and separate profile files if used) when you click the 'Ok' button.
-
I'm sorry, but what is this? Do you mean Mouse look? There have been no changes in this are in FSUIPC6, so I suspect that it is the underlying P3D functionality that has changed from P3Dv4 to P3Dv5. You can try FSUIPC6 with P3Dv4 and it should be the same as with FSUIPC5. I haven't checked/compared this functionality in P3Dv4 vs P3Dv5 yet. I'll make a note and take a look in the coming days, after things have quietened down a bit! Cheers, John
