EDDM appears to be my first choice The chart looks to be the closest Equally, I can then have one runway for departures and one for arrivals KPHX is my second choice Again, very similar Equally, the Cargo terminal is to the other side of one runway which presents the challenge of crossing an active runway Today I have been comparing the above two with the Real files available This has then shown that ODMB may be a third option My preference is a higher ratio of International flights I assume the real files can be shared (I would then just need to work out how) Example The BA A350 from ODMB can be loaded into KPHX

Specification is the same for Tower 3D and Tower 3D Pro https://www.feelthere.com/shop/air-traffic-control/tower3d/tower3d/#tab-system-requirements The only difference is Windows version support -

Now I am a little confused The specification for Tower 3D, states minimum 2GB Dedicated Video Card I therefore doubled this to ensure some future proofing -
Visually, Atlanta looks the closest I might also consider Dubai, it appears to have the highest ratio of International flights

I have only used Tower 2011 Heathrow As discussed in previous topics, after an upgrade to Windows 10 v1909 my laptop has stopped running this program So I have had to no choice to purchase a new computer in order to run this, and prepare for Tower 3D I was at the stage where I had modified Tower 2011 Heathrow quite heavily Summer 2019 timetable, with correct runway and Terminal use I am therefore looking to purchase to one airport for Tower 3D, that is as similar to Heathrow as possible The majority of flights are wide-body / International There are two parallel runways and the main terminal is between them A cargo terminal Any and all advice welcome

My understanding is that Intel CPU with processor / integrated Graphics (not to be confused with shared on motherboard) work best with Graphics Cards These are specified on the Intel website See the first post to see the Intel CPU I was comparing i5-8300H i5-9300H Xeon W-2125 The system must be capable of meeting the requirements to run Tower3D (4GB RAM, but people on this forum are advising 8GB RAM, 4GB Graphics, minimum 3.0 GHz Intel) At other times to work on two spreadsheets each of which is about 2MB At other times video editing, videos are about about 250MB It will not do any of the above at the same time There used to be a few bottleneck calculators, but they have disappeared or do not take into account the latest CPU and Graphics Cards -

Lenovo are adamant only those listed Graphics Cards will work The retailer has now replied that almost all 4GB Graphics Cards on their website will work, and either the GTX 1050 or 1650 will work However, they recommend that anything above 4GB will require the PSU (OE 500W) to be upgraded Ironically, a few hours later Lenovo have replied that today they updated their list of supported devices, but it made no difference to my selections After all the P520c is designed for 3D CAD work A local retailer has also returned a quote, based on specification (16GB RAM, 4GB Graphics Card and basic SSD) i5-9400, 8GB RAM, GTX 1650 4GB, 120GB SSD, 1TB HDD Note the trade-off here is reducing to 8GB but adding a 120GB SSD, also it is only a two year warranty against the Lenovo with a three year warranty They made this suggestion based on the i5-9400 as this has an internal GPU, so the RAM could be lowered slightly Is this correct, or was this simply to meet the budget? -

Roughly every five years I upgrade Last time was desktop to laptop, but now it is time to go back to desktop Future proofing is everything, I aim for five years and both laptops are now four years old For my next desktop the HDD will be used solely for low demand programs and file storage SSD will be used for Windows 10 and Tower Tower is the only game program I have used in the last few years Budget is £600 -

It would appear neither of these Graphics Cards will work on this Lenovo P520C, which does seem odd, and am limited to one of these (within budget) - Quadro K2000 2GB Quadro K4000 3GB NVS 510 2GB Quadro P400 2GB Quadro P600 2GB Quadro P620 2GB -

I am not considering any device with shared graphics, they are all dedicated As above, the type is the fourth item, most are Gigabyte GTX I have had a few bad experiences with AMD as well, so avoiding those -

Yes, I agree with that I started looking at 4GB, but the two laptops already have that (shared graphics) Equally, with 4GB most only come with 2GB Graphics Not sure if that would be enough Are there any graphics cards that do not really work with Tower, to avoid? -
It is nearing the time to replace my two business laptops Initially they would run Tower 2011 SE (Heathrow airport and all packages) However at the latest Windows 10 v1809 and v1903 updates for some reason they would not do so My budget is £300 per laptop However if I retain the two business laptops I can effectively purchase one laptop at £600 This laptop will solely be used for Tower 2011, and eventually Tower 3D when it is released (Heathrow airport packages) Here is what I am currently considering (model, processor, RAM, graphics, SSD, HDD) : Medion Erazer P6605 : i5-8300H, 8GB RAM, GTX 1050 4GB, 128GB SSD, 2TB HDD Medion Erazer P15601 : i5-9300H, 8GB RAM, GTX 1050 3GB, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD Medion Erazer P15603 : i5-9300H, 8GB RAM, GTX 1650 4GB, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD Alternatively I have also been considering a Desktop : Lenovo 720-18ASU : AMD Ryzen 5 1400, 8GB RAM, RX 550 2GB, NO SSD, 2TB HDD Lenovo P520C : Xeon W-2125, 16GB RAM, GTX 1050 4GB, NO SSD, 1TB HDD Lenovo P520C : Xeon W-2125, 16GB RAM, GTX 1650 6GB, NO SSD, 1TB HDD Any and all advice welcome

It does look like FedEx liveries are included https://www.nyergesdesign.com/copy-of-real-color-kdtw-1?lightbox=dataItem-j3n17x4o1 I would suggest you contact Nyerges Design just to make sure (unless you want to risk punting $7) I would be interested too, but never received a response to a general query as to what liveries were supplied to each specific airport
-
There is a list of liveries and packs for Tower3D, so I asked if there was a similar one for Tower 2011 Sadly, I never got an answer to this None of those liveries in Heathrow, in fact no cargo liveries at all! I tried to create a British Airways liveried A380, but gave in Equally, the schedule I created did not use the B757 or B767, so I copied and modifed the B757 into the A350 and the B767 into the B787 (as they look quite similar) I also did the same with some of the cargo aircraft where a livery already exists Example, Emirates Cargo 77F using the 77W, Qatar Cargo 33F using the 333 Does your pack have Aloha or HAL?
-
I had a similar problem with EGLL (Heathrow) Sadly the vacate from runway is dictated by the number of terminals / stands For myself this was easy to correct by using the northern most runway, and in turn this forced all arrivals into the correct procedures It looks like this would not be possible to apply to PHNL However, what you might want to consider is modifying the terminals.txt file In turn you will also need to use the AirField.exe program to make sure you use the same definition for each terminal and/or gate I managed to add four stands (Terminal 5A) that were missing in EGLL I also added the Cargo Terminal, and again this was completed by using the AirField.exe program and terminals.txt file
-
Attempting to reinstall, after not having played for some time, appear to have run into the same problem and cannot really find what is causing the issue and subsequently a solution The Hard Drive was replaced in October 2019 Windows 10 v1909 build 18363.778 Set language to English US Set voice to English US and completed voice configuration Installed only Tower2011m-sp4.exe As before, the program loads but does not start, tested with St Thomas and Miami What I have noticed is the game.log file has a final entry (after the voice related commands have loaded) : THREE hundreds SIXTY value: 360 ---------------------- failed to build
-
How would the issue outlined above be resolved? I only have T2011 Heathrow, and start the game at either 04:00 or 05:00, so that by 05:30 the arrivals stack has been created As I understand it the game would start at 05:50 but by this time there is already a stack of arrivals A few times I have also started the game at 15:00, which is the swap over between the runways It takes about 20 minutes for the arrivals stack to be created
-
So even if there are arrivals between 05:00 and 06:00, they will not appear until the first departure at 05:50 What happens between 05:00 and 05:50 ?
-
You may be able to get round this by starting the game earlier I used to play Heathrow the first departures are 05:50, but there are a few arrivals before this I start the game at 05:00, so there are a few arrivals before the departures start
-
I have now successfully added the four missing stands for Terminal 5 T524 to T527 On my first attempt the line was not long enough and the aircraft were not sitting entirely within the stand! I do not know why they were not included, although T527 is quite small and is really only suitable for A319 and A320 I now have to add the missing taxiway... However having added the missing stands I now understand the process required
-
Aer Lingus / EIN use four stands, for some reason the game requires five stands EI711 has a turnaround time of 45 minutes, the same as the issue that affects FlyBe When I amended EI711 to a departure time of 09:35 instead of 09:30, the issue then moves to EI155 which is the next departure Amending EI155 to a departure time of 09:55 instead of 09:50 move the issue to the next departure EI381 Amending EI381 to a departure time of 09:55 instead of 09:50 moves the issue to a later departure, as the next two departures have a turnaround time of 50 minutes So back to my original request, where is the minimum turnaround time applied in the game? Is it hard written into the program?
-
Apologies, but you may have misunderstood this Passengers depart from Terminal 2A Gate 01, and are then taken by bus As a result it is not possible to create this gate and link, as it does not exist I have also now discovered there is a temporarily a similar one in Terminal 3, whilst two stands are being modified
-
I need this for Terminal 5, four stands are present but not linked I have tried to create the links but cannot figure out how to do this A link to this member / thread would be appreciated
-
Yes, I appreiciate I have now fully modified the original files, it is more realistic However, it is easy enough to create a hybrid that combines the schedule (as at last week) with the airport terminal files The only common issue would be FlyBe, I would have no option to create terminals that do not exist, so that issue still exists! ie Create a EGLL airport, that only serves Flybe, and see what happens!?! As for EI711, I will try to work out today why this does not work correctly, but initially this also suffers the same problem with a turnaround time of just 45 minutes, whilst all the other (EIN) are 50 minutes or greater
