  1. This is getting worryingly like someone seeking free advertising, Steve... Do you have any relationship to the development team of that tool? ;) Ian P.
  2. Just to let you know, Richard, that your post makes no sense whatsoever. Care to expand?

  3. Your license will be valid for each version of FS, so if you pay for an FSUIPC4 license (FSX), that does not invalidate your FSUIPC3 (FS9) license. You can continue to use both licenses (in their appropriate simulators) at the same time. Cheers, Ian P.
  4. I don't have FSX installed on my notebook, so I'm running from memory and apologies if this is wrong. There are, if I remember correctly, two ways of positioning pop-up windows - the first is to specify a start point using X/Y co-ordinates and the second is to give a single number between (I think!) one and nine. One positions the window at the top left, two top centre, three top right down to nine bottom right. I may be wrong on those numbers, so please don't quote me on them! The window size you can specify in either distance measurements (which I never understood, as it depends on your screen size and resolution, surely?) or as X/Y pixel sizes. I'll try and look them up next time I'm near the SDK and see what information is in there. Another option may be FS Panel Studio or something similar, which claims to work with both FSX and FS9, so...? Cheers, Ian P.
  5. Can you not do that using the settings in panel.cfg, rather than FSUIPC? There are settings in panel.cfg to position pop-up windows where you want and at what size you want. It is documented in the SDK if you have the Deluxe version of FSX. Ian P.
  6. Hello josbati, I've moved your post from the FAQs forum to support forum. If you post in FAQs there's a very high chance that your post will be missed by Pete when he visits next. I presume that you are using FS9, but before anyone will be able to give you useful support, can you please check (and post) exactly which version of FSUIPC you are using? For preference, it's best if you install the latest dll file from this downloads thread: http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66139-updated-modules/ as well. If you can do that, Pete should be along shortly with much more useful knowledge than I have! Ian P.
  7. Moved from FAQs to support forum. Have you looked at WideFS, netserv? http://secure.simmarket.com/pete-dowson-widefs7.phtml Ian P.
  8. I'm not Peter, but your keys will be stored in your account at simMarket under "My Orders" or "My products" when you log into your account there. Ian P.
  9. Phoenix (PSS) has been dead for a long time. I believe you can still buy their FS9 products through JustFlight as boxed sets, but the download versions haven't been available for a long time. Some of the Wilco/FeelThere products may well include the same functionality as is being discussed on this thread. The LevelD Sim B763 most certainly does. PMDG is another developer possibly worth looking at. Ian P.
  10. Mis-, un- or reverse-calibrated throttle controls would be my suggestion here. Ian P.
  11. Looks astonishingly like the FSD Pilatus Porter to me.

  12. I use that (it's ` on a British keyboard) as my push-to-talk button and it is recognised fine by FSUIPC. ~ is shift+# on a British keyboard unfortunately, so I can't test directly. I'm not aware of any specific keys that FSUIPC shouldn't recognise. They're not already being grabbed for use by another add-on for anything, are they? Ian P.
  13. You need to enter your details exactly as they were when you bought it. Copy and Paste, if possible. An FSUIPC license is valid for the life of that version (i.e. FSUIPC3 for FS9 or FSUPIC4 for FSX), regardless of how many updates it goes through, and the only reason that an old registration for a version wouldn't work is if one of the fields is entered incorrectly. Cheers, ian P.
  14. Well, presuming you downloaded and installed it from the site the product page directs you to (http://www.schiratti.com/dowson) then the full documentation will be in <FSX>\modules\FSUIPC Documentation. If you haven't yet installed it, you need to download it from the link above and do so, then the documentation will be at the path above. ;) Ian P.
  15. Possibly a bum steer, but I'm controlling the undercarriage on a quadrant lever by using "ranges" on the Axis Assignment screen - by setting the lower arc from 0 to just under half way, then the upper arc from just over half way to maximum and using a control sent on range entered of "Gear Down" or "Gear Up" respectively. That doesn't answer your offset question, but it might be something else to play with, if you can send custom commands using ranges rather than just selecting from those in the default controls list? Apologies if that doesn't help at all, but I thought it might be worth mentioning. Ian P.
  16. "Position Lights" are actually "Navigation Lights", so the function is "Toggle Nav Lights". "Anti Collision Lights" is "Toggle Beacon Lights". Ian P.
  17. Before trying anything else and in Pete's absence, you might like to try downloading the latest version (4.664) from this link: http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66139-updated-modules/ That's not a full installer, but it's got all the updates and bugfixes that have been introduced since the release of 4.6 - it might not help at all, but it's worth trying? Cheers, Ian P.
  18. Once you know to look there, "toggle" is obvious. prior to that, it is the cause of much cursing and expleting because you can't find something. <_< Glad you got it sorted! Cheers, Ian P.
  19. It's probably worth checking under "Toggle <whatever>" in the functions list... I've found all sorts of things down there over time! Ian P.
  20. It depends what you want and has nothing to do with private or commercial use - although you do need to talk to Pete about commercial use. For private use, unregistered FSUIPC acts as a route for programs outside the sim to talk to programs inside the sim, basically. Programs such as the VRS Super Hornet, Flight Sim Commander and others require unregistered FSUIPC to work properly. Registered FSUIPC gives you a lot more control over how FS works. You can get rid of some of the more annoying weather and battery bugs, for instance, can calibrate and assign functions to controls in much more depth, it's just generally a tool to give you more control over your use of the sim. I hope that helps a little? Ian P.
  21. The unregistered and registered versions are actually the same module - if you put in the latest module version and run the installer to register your license, it will not actually overwrite any newer files that have been installed anyway. So the answer is yes, just run the installer "over the top" of your existing files. You don't need to uninstall anything. All the best, Ian P.
  22. Hello, FSUIPC operates in two modes: Unregistered, which is free and acts as a communications channel between FSX and tools outside it. This is all you need for the SuperBug. Registered, which is not free and a license can be purchased from http://www.simmarket.com, allowing your to have much more control over how FSX works and you interract with it, such as fixing some of the most annoying weather bugs, better control calibration tools and much, much, more besides. You do not need to register FSUIPC to use it with the VRS SuperBug. If you simply click "cancel" on the registration screen at the end of installation, you will have installed the unregistered version. For further details, please see the FSUIPC documentation (in your FSX\modules\FSUIPCDocuments folder), which explains all the other things FSUIPC does when registered as well. Best regards, Ian P.
  23. You could rename your FSUIPC.ini to FSUIPC.ini.old and let it recreate a new one, see if it fixes the bug, without losing all your effort if it doesn't help? Ian P.
