  1. While I appreciate the desire to inform your customers about new add-ons, I find it annoying that the game always defaults to one of these adds, instead of the most recent airport played.  This is particularly annoying when exiting a session.  Recently I exited a session with the intent of restarting it to try again, but was instead hit with an add for KLAS, and had to manually reelect the airport I had been playing.  Is there some way to make these adds a bit less aggressive?

Lastly, is KDCA on your consideration list for T3DPro?

Unlikely, since KDCA was never made for Tower 2011.  So far, all Tower3D addon have been airports that were done for Tower2011, as this lets them use the data and some of the imagery that they have already developed.  Thus, I doubt we will see many completely new titles until they have exhausted the supply of Tower2011 airports, or unless a 3rd party decides to take one on.

So far my concern is Terminal F and the semi transparent buildings. We are just about to wrap up Tracon!2012:SE and this is the next task for us.

    Thank you

Any news on patching the above problems in KATL?  I know you guys are busy, but it has been many months (and two new add-on releases) since the problems were identified.  Leave it like this for so long.

    Thanks,

  4. The voices are off the OS.  Win 7 only has Anna, so that's all you get.  I do not know if it is possible to add more voices to Win 7, though if you search the forums, there has been some discussion of this in the past.  If you are using Win10, which has more voices built in, then the game will let you use them.  It is a great game, with quite a bit of user modifications of schedules, but it does have its quirks, and typically requires a willingness to read the forums a lot, and to tinker, in order to get it to do what you want it to do.

  5. I'm jealous, KATL did not get a fancy promo video like that  :-)  IN all seriousness, KLAS looks great, and I will definitely pick it up, but not until terminal F at KATL is fixed ;-)

With all the speech and installation issues rampant on the board, its' been a little quiet regarding airport fixes and the such. Any update on ATL (specifically Terminal F and RT)?

Very much agreed.  I have deliberately not brought it up for a while (I feel I did enough nagging prior to release), when Vic last commented on it here, he said it was next up after 2011SE.  That was a few months ago, and now they are getting ready to release a new product, when the problems with the old one have still not been addressed.  Would be nice to know whether the problems with KATL were just forgotten about, or if they presented a greater challenge than anticipated?  Its a bit disappointing.

  7. I have not tried this yet but, see if it works:

Go to you main Tower3D directory and open the file Twer3D.rec.  Copy paste the following command  at the end of the file, and then save it:

#airplane1; ENTER FINAL RUNWAY ;#runway1; CLEARED TO LAND

Theoretically this should work, as similar combos have been made by other users.  If it does not work, or causes conflicts, then delete it.

  8. Cool!  Have fun.  We won't get the totality over here, either, but it should certainly be close enough to be pretty noticeable, unless of course the weather refuses to cooperate.  Actually thought about making a quick trip over to Greenville, SC myself, but its a school day for my kid, and eclipse or not, it would not be an approved absence.  In my book they should declare it an official holiday, considering how rare it is.  I miss the good old days when school did not start until after Labor Day...

I think feelThere is launching their own AIRLINE!  And first stop will be Boston to showcase and promote their upcoming KBOS release!  :D  (plug  :p )

Nice.  I heard a rumor that all aircraft will be flown exclusively by volunteer flight simmers.  That way, they do not have to pay for pilots.  Apparently, they have been in extended negotiations with the Trump administration, which has agreed to lift the "ridiculous and bureaucratic" requirement that pilot's be licensed.  This will be done in conjunction with the privatization of the air traffic control system, which will also be operated by FeelThere customers working from home and using Tower3D Pro (see the "Pro" really does mean something) as the central user interface for controlling.  Thus, FeelThere is really going to have get cracking on creating more add-on airports.

Sign me up.  It's going to be a wild ride!

  10. Cool.  I am guessing that FeelThere has developed its own global flightsim platform that fully integrates with Tower3D, Tracon, and Tower2011.  The only downside is that the city of Atlanta is not modeled in 3D, while all other cities are ;-)  Sorry, I just could not resist.

Is there a way to just get it to say Frontier?

Technically, it should be possible, but Frontier Flight is the airline's actual radio callsign, presumably to prevent it from being confused with other callsigns during radio transmisions.  I would imagine that similar complications might arise over VR as well.  Have you tried using Frontier Flight, or was that what was causing the problem in the first place?

First off, I added a couple of new Speech recognition commands:

#airplane1; PUSHBACK APPROVED, EXPECT RUNWAY ;#runway1; VIA ;#taxiway1;#taxiway2;#taxiway3;#taxiway4;#taxiway5;#taxiway6

#airplane1; PUSHBACK APPROVED, EXPECT RUNWAY ;#runway1; AT ;#taxiway1

#airplane1; PUSHBACK APPROVED, EXPECT RUNWAY ;#runway1; AT ;#taxiway1; VIA ;#taxiway2;#taxiway3;#taxiway4;#taxiway5;#taxiway6

    RickyJ

    To this, add one more:

    #airplane1; RUNWAY ;#runway1; VIA ;#taxiway2;#taxiway3;#taxiway4;#taxiway5;#taxiway6

It gets rid of the cumbersome  "Delta 2143, Runway 26L.  Taxi via Echo."  Now you can just say "Delta 2143, Runway 26L via Echo."  To me, at least, this is much more intuitive. I have tested it and it works perfectly.
