DFW is my home airport and I play it all the time. I don't have the issues you do. It is one of the slower loading airports, but we're talking 2-3 minutes versus 20-30. I'm not sure if I saw a post related to this or experienced the slow loading once myself, but it could possibly be related to the runway selection. The normal configuration is 18R, 17C, and 17L for arrivals. Adding 13R and/or 13L could cause the issue (especially during busier hours depending on the schedule file). Again, I play it all the time with the "premium" settings. Hopefully you'll get it to work.

Tried playing KLAS and noticed the airport image didn't t jive with the chart - it was flipped. I'm attaching a screen shot of the selection menu (shows KLAS upside down) and from the Airfield Editor (which appears to be ok). Interestingly, the manual that came with the airport shows the incorrect upside down image but a correct chart. The ADIRS is also flipped and the DBRITE appears to be fine. It was pretty interesting to have a plane on approach to 25L flying from east to west on the DBRITE and landing with the airport view showing it traveling from west to east. Has anyone encountered this and fixed it? I've re-downloaded from each server, uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Craig

Has anyone tried creating liveries? I'd like to add QFA and UAE to the 388. I've taken a screen shot of the generic 388 using the plane editor, saved it as a TGA file using paint shop pro including adding the alpha channel. At this point I haven't added the livery but just wanted to see if it works ok. It looks good in PSP but when adding it in the plane editor it looks blurry. The images have been 511 x 511 - about the size of the plane editor viewing window. Do I need to create an image closer to 1024x1024 (the max indicated in the manual)? Anyone have a sample airplane TGA they are willing to share that I can use as a guide? Is there any way to extract the TGA file out of the existing APT files? Thanks, Craig

I am a Tower 2011 and ATC newbie and have run into a situation I am unable to figure out - I assume I'm doing something wrong. I can't get N222RD or the student flights (ST6523, ST2256) to takeoff from St. Thomas. These are "stop and go" and "touch and go" flights. N222RD, for example, calls in to taxi at 20:00 UTC. I issue the normal taxi to runway commands (runway 10). Once on the runway, the response to cleared for takeoff is "Negative"! I've issued every possible command (I think) and have had no luck getting N222RD to budge. So, I assume I'm doing something wrong. Any help for a newbie (who is really enjoying this simulator) would be greatly appreciated. Craig FYI - Below is the entry from gaandlocaltraffic.txt. I figured this out. I had to change the mouse setting for the Scroll/Middle button from Zoom to Middle Button. It's all good man!

Using the mouse I am able to zoom in and out (on the airport view only), but unable to scroll around - move the view up/down or left right. I am running Tower! 2011 downloaded from Wild Tangent - is that the culprit? Also if it matters, I'm running Windows 8.1 and have Logitech M705 mouse (my touchpad acts just like the mouse).
