  1. CALLSIGN, RUNWAY XX CLIMB TO XXX THOUSAND (XX HUNDRED) ON REACHING TURN LEFT/RIGHT HEADING XXX CONTACT DEPARTURE CLEARED FOR TAKEOFF Is the above command working for you? What I have experienced is that the command is accepted and repeated, the aircraft takes off, the climb is followed, the hand-off to departure works, but the turn doesn't happen. Other departure commands with a turn or fly heading appear to be working for me, but this particular one is not. I've tried some subtle turns and dramatic turns but no matter what it seems like the aircraft just follows it's standard pre-programmed departure route. I'm curious what are others are seeing. If others are seeing the same thing, I'll capture some screenshots for FeelThere. Thanks, Craig PS - To verify ... with contact history expanded, I select the flight and keep an eye on the direction. After it goes to departure I can re-select it by clicking on the T and see that the turn is not being made.
  2. You are welcome ... fyi, I replayed the same session right after sending the logs and the windows never disappeared.Good luck figuring this one out!
  3. Here you go, both logs are attached. Used ADIRS.bat as instructed. The ADIRS window disappeared after about 40 minutes of action and I immediately escaped, unharmed by the way ;), out of the sim. game.log adirs.log
  4. Tried it again and the same thing happened, but I think I figured out the issue. The RT schedule for LAX has two entries for AVA85 departing at 10:22. One is a 77L and the other a 788. So, as mentioned in other threads, Real Traffic could use some cleanup and refreshing.
  5. +1 It's painfully obvious the schedule is a very slightly modified version of the Tower!2011 schedule. It would be nice to have traffic and color fully reflect 2017 instead of 2011.
  6. The schedule file I used was a subset of the RT schedule. Yep, I may have to try that hour (10:00) and schedule file again and see what happens.
  7. OK, so I've been using the GA area for cargo at LAX. There are three GA spots that are actually in the houses that are next to the southern border of the airport in the sim. Any planes arriving or departing from those spots suddenly appear/disappear in the houses. Kind of like the baseball players into the cornfield in Field of Dreams. Game play is not really affected, but obviously it's not realistic (although it is worth a chuckle).
  8. Had a good hour long session working the north side of LAX tonight and thought I'd pass along a few peculiarities I ran into: Tried to have CPA897 (77W) take off from 24L but was told the runway was too short, so I sent it to 25L. With 24L being over 10000 feet long, is this a plane issue (Nyerges I assume) or a runway issue? AVA85 taxied and took off like normal, but was "frozen" on the strip and ADIRS, I tried to delete it, but nothing happened. And then later I got a 50 point wait penalty. I guess the game engine thought it was still at the gate. I've attached pictures (all taken at the same time when AVA85 was about to take off) and the game log. Thanks for looking into the above. game.log
  9. To assist, here's my game.log where the ADIRS window on a second monitor closed multiple times during the session. If I'm reading the log correctly my session started at 17:45 and I started ADIRS on a 2nd window at 16:30, 16:32, 16:33, 16:36, and 16:44. I also had to reopen my strip at 16:44. Thanks! game.log
  10. Here's my game and speech log from a LAX session where by the end my commands were not being recognized. During this session my ADIRS window kept closing and it seems like performance would diminish every time i opened it on the second window. Thanks, Craig FYI - the speech log may contain a previous session or two. lax_session.zip
  11. Agreed - definitely Pro over 2011. The new commands, parallel approaches, and new ADIRS are big winners. My only concern is performance. I'm just not getting the stunning 3D graphics and non-jerky game play I was hoping/expecting. My specs are Intel i7 (dual core), 2.60GHz, 12GB RAM, Windows 10, GEForce 840M (8GB memory, 2GB dedicated). So, it is possible the optimal Pro machine has a better processor and/or graphics card.
  12. FYI - Taxiway AA (used for exiting and taxiing off runway 24R) at LAX is pronounced fine ("Alpha Alpha").So, it may not be all double letter taxiways.
  13. Sure, you can add them to any existing terminal but why is there not a specific cargo area defined? Seems to be a relatively large FedEx operation there. Vic/FeelThere, any info?
  14. In an older Tower!3D post someone mentioned that when they saw that a plane's speed was zero they knew they could tell them to continue taxi. I thought that was a cool idea but couldn't figure out how he knew a plane's speed when on the ground. Well, I found it in the History window when a plane is selected (the screen shot is from a plane in the air but that isn't really the point of the post). This is pretty cool info for ground (and air) traffic but takes up a lot of real estate ... and I hate taking away from the 3D view. Any chance this could be displayed somewhere that is less real estate encroaching? Oooh, what if the command panel could even be moved to a separate monitor? :) #1 - If this is a development/debugging feature please don't take it away. #2 - I guess my ask is a feature request, so if that means it gets filed under folder T (for TRASH) I understand. ;) Thanks, Craig
  15. A couple of possible answers: Ricky uses something like the Snipping Tool and can "snip" as much or as little of the screen as he wants (i.e., everything below the command panel). Ricky stretched the main tower screen across multiple monitors and all the other windows and command panel are on the other screen. In trying out different configurations I did just that and by accident learned you can actually move the command panel around. A very nice feature.
  16. I had this occur a couple of times tonight and now, at least in my case, I don't think voice recognition is stopping. Whatever the cause (repetitive incorrect phrasing, multi-monitor windows closing/crashing), I think it is a performance issue .. the voice recognition engine is lagging. When the issue pops up the normal result is it either doesn't understand a word I say or misinterprets my commands. However, if I press left-shift and then pause (count to myself calmly 1-2-3) and then state the command it is recognized perfectly. This seemed to work every time. I tried this "fix" at the beginning of the session because it appears it takes a little while before voice recognition kicks in, but it didn't help. However, mid-session when the issue pops up, a little pause before speaking seems to work.
  17. Is there a cargo area defined for LAX? I don't see an entry in klax_terminal.txt and adding an entry called Terminal_Cargo with the appropriate carriers didn't do anything. Craig
  18. Yes, I've noticed that about the DBRITE At this point I'm keeping it on the main screen. I'm good with the strip on a 2nd monitor and the ADIRS too. Although I'm still struggling with performance issues if I have the ADIRS window use up more than roughly a third of the screen.
  19. Maybe a dumb question, but do you have Real Traffic installed? You need it in order to use Real Color.
  20. I've also seen this in multiple sessions. For me the scenario seems to be that one of my multi-monitor windows will close by itself and then after that speech recognition becomes less reliable to almost non-existent and the sim itself bogs down.
  21. This has nothing to do with gameplay, but has anyone noticed the automobile traffic flow at LAX? If that is correct, I'd have better luck driving in England than LA. ;)
  22. A fix for some (including me) is to make sure you run as administrator.
  23. By makers, does that mean you've contacted Nyerges Design?
  24. ATL will be cool, but how does one person realistically control at this airport? Off-peak hours, modified schedule, reduced traffic density?
  25. I did a little more testing and I think it boils down to this simple fact - size matters! My preferred setup would be very similar to what I used for Tower!2011: 1st monitor for the tower/airport window, 2nd monitor for the ADIRS window, and 3rd monitor for the DBRITE and Strip windows. What I'm finding is that when I have more than one of these windows using a full screen it brings Pro to its knees. So, in my case window size really does matter. If I keep the window sizes down, then performance is fine. Again, I'm curious to what others are seeing. I wonder if this can be tuned by myself/FeelThere. Or, is this an excuse for a bigger/badder system? Ummm, dear my birthday is coming up again this year and I know what you can get me. :) Craig
