  1. I have Pro SP1a and KSAN SP2 and the GA parking spaces are full with airplanes. However, because of that I only see departures and no arrivals. Seems like every GA arrival is "skipped" due to "no free terminal".
  2. Even with Tower!2011 I would build my own schedules since RT was out of date - which was somewhat understandable for a 6 year old product. I even created a few liveries and planes (the yellow Spirit livery, the "new" American livery, A380s, Dreamliners). With the Pro schedule being antiquated, I've done the same thing ... created fresh schedules. However, the issue now is there are missing airlines/liveries (i.e., white planes). Hopefully, someone will figure out how we add new liveries ourselves or Nyerges (or a new developer) will step up their game. When I see "contact the developer" it does not give me a warm fuzzy feeling that the question/issue will be addressed.
  3. Or you can wait for Nyerges to post an update ... and wait ... and wait ... and wait!
  4. It's been 3 weeks since I brought up the RT/RC refresh request so I thought I'd' share Nyerges' responses from Facebook. Not the support and responsiveness I was hoping for - which again is a concern with the 3D approach. I'm not sure what they are working on or what their priority is, but based on this exchange (or lack thereof) I don't think a refresh is is in the plans. .
  5. If you like retro you should control KPHL - US Airways is very prevalent in Nyerges' schedule.
  6. Nope, it's been there all along. It is Terminal_GA in the terminal file. I'm using this area for cargo too since it is all that we have available to us. If you check out the LAX webcam you'll see the cargo area is much more substantial than the 10 parking spots we see in pro. I've also attached a partial diagram of LAX. The area circled in blue is what we see in Pro. The area in red used by cargo operators such as FedEx, DHL, Philippine Airlines, Polar, Lufthansa, Air China, China Southern, and China Airlines has not been included. We have houses instead.
  7. I'm curious what you mean by "drive 80% minimum traffic" and would you mind sharing an example of the LIFO rule? I understand it from an accounting perspective (although I hated accounting and changed my major) but not sure how it would be used for traffic management. Thanks!
  8. You'll only see 6R used for departures about 2% of the time when the airport is in easterly operations. 6R is more often used for arrivals during noise sensitive hours when the airport is running over-ocean operations. 25R is used for departures at this time. FYI - over-ocean operations are fun to simulate in Pro. The FAA terminology has changed somewhat for Pro, but obviously the new "taxi to runway" works in the sim but a specific route would be more realistic from a controller's perspective I'm not sure when 7L would be used for arrivals. I would assume during easterly operations 6R/7L would be used for departures and 6L/7R for arrivals. Here's a link to a report on LAX's preferential runway use.
  9. Vic commented on ATCC a couple of days ago in another thread: http://forum.simflight.com/topic/83119-runway-crossing-instructions/#comment-501470
  10. I'm a self taught ATCer myself and definitely no expert. For departure procedures, there are several sites you can use but my go to site is FlightAware. Taxiing is a bigger challenge. I'll listen to Tower/Ground via Live ATC if a feed is available or scour virtual ARTCCs for documentation, but I've found official taxi routes/charts tough to find (especially for US airports). To specifically learn LAX (primarily the south complex): I've spent a lot of time watching the webcams, following air traffic using FlightRadar24, listening to ATC, and using FlightAware for additional information. For ground traffic, I did run across this document for LAX and it explains a few of the ground routes I've heard controllers use. Hope this helps ... looking forward to hearing what sources our more knowledgeable members use.
  11. Looks like the prevailing wind issue for KSAN has been corrected in the KSAN SP2 release. In a small sampling, the wind direction was always westerly - between 254° and 339°. With the dominant wind direction being 292°, this is very much an improvement. Now the question is: if and how often will an easterly wind randomly appear at KSAN? FYI - I don't believe the wind issue has been resolved at LAX.
  12. Just like LAX (see thread below), SAN has some "interesting" automobile traffic (driving on the wrong side of the road in the upper right). Again it doesn't affect game play. However depending on one's point of view, one could say it either shows a lack of attention to detail or an intriguing sense of humor. http://forum.simflight.com/topic/82913-tower3d-pro-lax-and-automobile-traffic/
  13. Yep, it says you like to pester Vic. ;)
  14. OK, let me try this again. Pro SP1 is dated 3/1/2017. Based on the thread below (on 3/15/2017), I do not think KJFK has the new tower view. http://forum.simflight.com/topic/83035-tower3d-pro-need-help-with-double-digit-taxiways/?do=findComment&comment=501003
  15. The voice commands, EXIT AT TAXIWAY B9 (BRAVO NINER) and EXIT AT TAXIWAY B10 (BRAVO ONE ZERO), worked fine for me and were repeated by the pilot. I can't get C10 to be recognized at LAX so I was surprised B10 worked at SAN.
  16. Pro SP1 is dated 3/1/2017. Based on the thread below I do not think it has the new tower view ...only a fix for displaced thresholds. http://forum.simflight.com/topic/82966-tower-3d-pro-kjfk-sp1/
  17. BillA and TJ, Thanks for the responses - exactly what I was looking for. Looks like JAL65 is in the session I'm about to run, so I'll give those special taxi instructions a shot. Thanks again, Craig
  18. I've just started playing around with KSAN and was curious about intersection departures. Do commercial aircraft normally taxi the full length for 27 departures? I've only flown out of San Diego one time and that is what we did. Do they ever take off from D? What about GA aircraft? Do they taxi full length or do they normally take off from one of the intersections? Thanks! FYI - I like to listen to LiveATC in order to educate myself and simulate as realistically as possible. But they only have Tower for KSAN so ground traffic is something of a mystery at the moment.
  19. I used the workaround just as TJ described it in a session yesterday and it works nicely. I too would prefer the proper clearance but for now I guess this will have to do until we get the desired enhancement. Craig
  20. Sadly, no. Everything needs to be installed under the Tower 3D Pro folder - which in your case appears to be: C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tower 3D Pro. Looks like you used the default installation path provided by Nyerges which is incorrect for Tower 3D Pro and Steam users.
  21. Real color and real traffic gives you real airlines like American, Delta, Southwest, Qantas, etc. Sure you have color but it is all the fake airlines.Your installation is obviously messed up. If you can uninstall everything and start over that would be my recommendation. Just pay close attention to the directories that the install program points to - they are not always right. Not sure if it is FeelThere's or Nyerges' issue, but it needs fixing.
  22. Attached is a picture of the non-Steam folder structure. Looks like your Extensions folder is under the tower3D_Data folder which is incorrect. It needs to be under your root Pro folder.
  23. The attached picture is showing where aircraft hold after landing at LAX on runway 24R and "exiting" on taxiway Z. The arrow on the left shows the real holding point and that the aircraft are actually stopping well short of it. This has caused a collision when a following aircraft exits at AA or BB. The right arrow shows that the aircraft are pulling forward a little too far when holding prior to crossing 24L. Not a major problem but the first holding point is definitely an issue. Thanks, Craig
  24. You should look at the schedule file ... it is very simple to create/modify your own schedule. This is the second time you've posted that the sim is not challenging enough for you. I, personally, cannot control the entire LAX airport at a peak time. I mean in reality, it's the job of a least four people. But if you can do it, more power to you. You should make a video, I'd love to see you in action. Also, I think with separation and available parking spaces there is an actual limit to the number of arrivals (and probably departures) the sim will have active at any point in time.
