Nandrews10 Posted November 30, 2021 Report Posted November 30, 2021 I have just bought and started using Tower 3D Pro. I am pleased with it and enjoying it. But I am finding a few qwerks which maybe me or not. When I have traffic approaching from the West but landing from the East. The focus (the view when I select those traffic items) actually looks West most times until the traffic is on short finals from the East! How can I pan the view independent of any aircraft? I don't see much change on the aircraft information so I'm not sure what is actually displayed Nigel
MJKERR Posted November 30, 2021 Report Posted November 30, 2021 Which airport? It is highly unusual for traffic be approaching from both the west and east
Salad Posted November 30, 2021 Report Posted November 30, 2021 Hi All, I think Nandrews10 may be referring to the situation where a plane makes its initial call. When responding to it the camera doesn't seem to know where it is and looks in the wrong direction until it is closer? If that's the case I don't think there is a way around that. 1
NellisHero Posted December 1, 2021 Report Posted December 1, 2021 I'm a new user as of 2 days ago. I noticed this almost straight away too. The software obviously knows the direction of the incoming flight as it's on the radar but the camera view looks in the opposite direction until the plane is close to the airport.
Ripskin Posted December 1, 2021 Report Posted December 1, 2021 @Salad is right, when planes arrive the camera will not look at them until they get closer and can actually be seen. At least my game always did that. Need some more context on the OP's issue to know if that is right.
DeltaVII Posted December 2, 2021 Report Posted December 2, 2021 The only times I noticed this happening is when I switch runways during the game, like initially using JFK's 13s and, due to (random) weather, having to switch to the opposite direction. In that case, the camera looks the way the planes were formerly supposed to come from (the 13s) although they're actually coming from a different direction.
