Hi, ASE does not use WideFS for FSX, but uses SimConnect. GEX is run once and does not run while FSX is running. That is a texture program. The same with FEX. Ult. Terrain is the same way. If you are just using REX for textures then that is the same. U Traffic must be kept on the FSX computer. Only moving programs that are actually running at the same time as FSX is running can help. So basically the only thing from your list is ASE and that doesn't use WideFS.

Hi, All you need to do is use the 3SDKs to intall SimConnect on the client computer. Then there is just some configurations that need to be made. With FS9 all Active Sky programs work through WideFS. With FSX most Active Sky products work through SimConnect. Also, the OP has FS9 also installed on his client computer and I have requested that he remove FS9 from that machine to help solve this issue.

Hi, AI Smooth works with my FSUIPC registered version. What is the version number of your FSUIPC and AI Smooth? Registering FSUIPC just un-locks the extra features and shouldn't change program performance.

Hi, No, the .cfg file could not be loaded just by selecting the plane. Also, only FSUIPC plane specific settings could be loaded by FSUIPC. FSUIPC will not load a specific FSX.cfg file.

Hi, You can save multiple FSX.cfg files through FSX itself and you can name them anything you wish. You could set up a file for every plane you fly if you wish!

Hi, That is the install log. There is another long produced when FS is run with FSUIPC. FS and all FS add-ons should be installed outside of the Program Files folder.

Please tell your teacher how wrong it is for him/her to be doing the same thing.
