  1. Yeh at present it doesn't see these flight numbers because they are not in the schedule BUT in the future if they become the norm and the old type flight numbers are dropped, then how will the program handle a flight number of RYR96EK. instead of FR 9741. It might be something for the next program release.

Also I can"t find out why these numbers were initiated. I can only think it was to stop confusion over similar flight numbers. c'mon who can answer this.😊

  2. How does tower 3D pro handle the new style flight numbers rapidly appearing around Europe. An example is

    OE322 /LDM77ULaudamotion

ATC uses the new format for communications with the aircraft.i.e this aircraft is LDM77U as far as ATC is concerned.

I have tried to find more info on this without much success. Can someone please enlighten us simmers on what the story is on these number formats.

Thanks for all the replies it is appreciated. There is no such thing as too much info on these sorts of things.

Now to sort out the schedule as I have noticed that there are several hi profile airlines missing from the schedule i.e SQ & EY. Also CX is not in the schedule but given that they only recently started operating into BCN that can be expected. I am not complaining.

All in all a good job done by Gabor and all those who helped get the airport released.

  4. @Braf123456 I notice that you have had about 256 posts so you have a reasonable grip on the sim and as @EliGrim says please give more info as to what happened so the Dev's & the experts can have a look at the problem. As it has been seemingly working for a period of time before this problem arose, have a look & see if anything has changed on your computer that might have upset the program. It can sometimes be the slightest change that can throw it all into confusion.

  5. @hexzed You will be the first people in the world to have xmas & we in Aus. will be the 2nd. The Americans will still be a day behind 😉

A merry Christmas to all the  Tower/Tracon supporters over the years and of course the developers, who have put in a huge effort to present the various airports for us to enjoy or complain about. Without all the guys, the app that we all enjoy would not be there.

    A merry Christmas to all.

  6. @Michi10 What program did you use to make your schedule? If you used notepad++, it seems to keep a history of used files and it might be available there.

If you deleted any previous version of your schedule, they might still be in the recycle folder and retrievable from there.

If you used excel to make the files, then hopefully there will be a xlxs version still there or at least the raw data you downloaded for the schedule might be still available.

If all that fails, have fun re downloading the schedule & starting from scratch again.

Moral: always keep a copy of any custom files in a separate folder or drive. Also I keep all my files made whilst working on any custom file until that file has been changed or no longer current. It is amazing how often you need to go back to the "work" files to find or fix a typo etc.

Is there sound in tower 3D from both the cockpit and the tower once we type in the commands?

    Craig,

From the first post he says type in the commands not speak the commands

From that I still think it is tower 3D not Pro version.

@JP1269 can you please advise which version you have i.e. Tower 3D or Tower 3D pro This is important!!

  8. @hexzed Sorry I forgot your name

    Good idea.

I think most of us that do our own schedules do something similar. I always  save the new RT files into another holding folder and work from that. I use the updated aircraft files and update my master airport.txt file and airlines.txt files. From there  I update the individual airports airlines & airports files and keep my own schedule files in their respective folders.

I use the RC file out of the box as they come.

@JP1269 I guess most of us didn't really read your initial post properly & assumed you meant Tower 3D Pro.

Tower 3D does not support voice commands to my knowledge.

That was the main reason why I waited fro the 3D Pro version.

If you only have Tower!3D Pro then you definitely don't need that folder.

Hopefully, in the next version the installation process will be improved. FeelThere is lucky to have an active supportive community. Without it there is no doubt in my mind they would have more returns and disappointed customers.

Craig, Wayne,  ATC Joe, Hexzed etc.

Here Here I agree. Although I am only small fish in the support, without you bigger support guys, as we say in Aus. Feelthere  would be in deep snook. You can work out what it means. But both them & Gabor are getting better.

@707FANPossibly a plane type that is invalid or just a formatting issue.

Craig & Hexzed. Thanks guys it was a case of forests & trees.  I don't know how many times I checked it but 2 types of aircraft were wrong. Fixed & now I can get on with it.

The old story of don't proofread your own work. ☺️

  12. Actually I get the same clicking problem with the L shift key. It seems to start for no reason after a period of time. To clear it, I hit clear on the top panel & it all comes good until next time it happens. It can be a nuisance if it is busy & I want to change a command quickly, usually cos I have Stuffed up a command & want to change it before a disaster occurs. There does not seem to be a fix for it.

Also for hexzed, I have made a custom MEM schedule & it sticks at 72%. I have tried all the normal fixes, correct folder locations etc.  Without you spending too much time on it do you have any quick ideas. I have narrowed it down to the schedule file by elimination etc. Do you or Craig have any quick ideas before I go through every entry to find the problem?

    Hi Kev,

Can you please provide me a list of aircraft which have this kind of light system?

    Gabor

    Gabor,

Give me a little time to work on this but basically all Boeing, Airbus and Embraer jets have them on the fuselage only. Some T tails have them on the bottom of the fuselage and the top of the fin but never 3 lights. I will research as best I can and get back with a more definitive list as soon as I can. I don't guarantee all will be revealed but I will try.

  14. Gabor,

While you are working on the strobe/navigation lights, can you please take the flashing anti collision light off the top of the fin.  Modern aircraft only have them on the top & bottom of the fuselage and never  on the top of the fin anymore. (a pet hate of mine for several years now)

Interesting, MCO might be a good one to try this on as the terminals and runways are on opposite sides of the airport. I will try it & see if the aircraft spawn to the most suitable runway to their terminals

    Kev M

I tried MCO 1348-1500.  RWY 36L & 35R. About 26 arrivals (I might have missed recording the runway on a couple of them) only 3 were to the wrong runway, 2 JBU, 1 AAL.

I moved the AAL from 35R to 36R & allowed the JBU's to land on 35R & taxi via twy J. In some ways it eased the flow to Airside 1. All A/C traveled CCW instead of arrivals & Departures going opposite direction form/to Airside 1 terminal.

Not bad really & did make to a little easier as it lowered the traffic on 36L as most arrivals are on that side.

  16. I have an excel spreadsheet of all the RC's that I have on my system. The sheets show the list by pack number and aircraft types & airlines in each pack

As I say it is not complete but I am willing to post it if it does not contravene any copyright rules.

It would be good if someone could fill in the gaps & it could be kept as a reference document on a sticky post.

For Gabor (ND)  or Vic (feelthere)do you have any objection to posting a spreadsheet of the RC airlines/aircraft per RC pack & updating it as new/revised RC packs are released?

    I await your reply
