That was the answer. I was running a Schedule Creator 24 V1 schedule. I restored the Extensions/Airfields file as it was before I changed the schedule. All the planes now have Real Color. Thank you for the help with this problem.
-
I found a better way to describe the scope of the problem. All planes at Terminal F are plain white.
-
Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, they are all white. All the planes north of taxiway H are just white.

I purchased Real Color for all three Tower 3D default airports. It really improves the game. I have a problem with KPHL. The Piedmont and Air Wisconsin planes are still plain white. All of the rest of the planes seem to be colored correctly. Did I do something wrong? I reinstalled Real Color and still have the same problem. KLAX seems to be ok.

Just made my day! I don't mind they are sold separatly. Each airport has different airlines. I really thought about TIST as I don't play it that much. I picked up all 3 available and can't wait for KJFK. I will not see much outside today.

I really enjoy Tower 3D. I play a couple of hours a day even though there only 4 airports available now. The weather variations add variety and interest to the program. My pet peeve is those darn runs caused by rain on the window during a thunderstorm! One of the best features of Tower 3D is being able to watch the planes. The runs on the window (the one right in the center of the screen in particular) make plane watching impossible. Does one of the graphics settings control this? If not, it is something to think about in the future. As it is now, I just don't play the game with rainy conditions.

I run Windows 10 and both run fine on my computer.

I wonder if this problem is caused by Real Traffic as it changes the aircraft types and models. I did a clean install (SP2 version) and did not reinstall Real Traffic. I have over 2 hours on the game at JFK and have had no issues.

I just bought this addon and it runs beautifully. I have been running Real Traffic so I could not just install KJFK. I figured the best way to install and run this was to move my old installation of Tower 3D and reinstall from scratch. I only ran it for a few minutes but I had no issues. I can hardly wait to run this with Real Traffic (and Real Color).

Tower!3D KLAX Departure and Arrival Preferences
GKibby replied to futureboy's topic in ATC Simulators
It is 1645 hours EDT on Saturday, 9/17/16. LAX is a perfect example of a different ground traffic pattern. Runway 24L appears to be closed. Arrivals are still using 24R & 25L but all departures are on 25R. All departures from the North side taxi past the South terminal and add to the normal congestion. The lineup for takeoff is really long! -
Tower!3D KLAX Departure and Arrival Preferences
GKibby replied to futureboy's topic in ATC Simulators
I like the variety available in both versions of Tower. I check Flightradar24 before I open any airport and use the same arrival and departure runways currently in use. There are a lot oi different combinations used due to various factors such as noise abatement, airport maintenance, and temporary runway obstructions. It keeps the game interesting. A minor runway assignment change can really change taxi patterns. -
Very nice. There goes all my spare time (and then some).

Tower 2011! "Failed to create speech recognition context"
GKibby replied to Denivros's topic in ATC Simulators
I get that error if I don't have a headset plugged in or configured properly. You might need to go to Control Panel in Windows and enter speech in the search bow. Pick Set Up A Microphone and follow the directions. I have also found that when I get that error, I need to reboot my computer before it will recognize my headset when it is plugged in. -
If you are referring to the plane turning around in place and taxing back onto the active runway, yes. The same thing happens th SKW planes on 25R. The best way to avoid this is to issue specific taxiway instructions (taxi to terminal via ...).
-
The continue taxi command is a problem for me too. The plane must be completely stopped before it will accept and execute the command. The only way I have found to confirm a stop is click on a plane and watch it. If the plane is on the far end of the airport, you can't see it well enough to tell if it is stopped. Check the edge of your screen to see if the scenery is still scrolling. I have also found for arrivals on LAX 24R, give the taxi to terminal command before the plane stops as it exits the runway. Then the continue taxi command starts the plane right away. The taxiways that meet 24R or 6L at right angles do not require a continue taxi command. If a plane doesn't taxi after a reasonable amount of time, I delete it so I can still release departures. This version has no penalty for plane deletions.

Thank you for the help. Both my problems are solved. The northwest sunrise problem was caused by an extra set if files in the extensions folder. Sunrise is in the right place now. The plane taxing problem was also caused by me. I usually let planes taxi off the runway and stop before giving taxi instructions. Doing this with the new setup works but sometimes there is a long delay before the plane moves after the CONTINUE TAXI command (maybe it is getting confused figuring out the taxi route). If I give the TAXI TO TERMINAL instruction before the plane stops, taxing starts soon after the CONTINUE TAXI command.

Here is another example with default aircraft. VAL458 would not move after landing. I gave it a taxi to terminal command and waited, a continue taxi command and waited, and then another taxi to terminal command. The plane still would not move. game.log

Has anyone else had a problem with planes not taxing after landing on 6L-24R at KLAX since the last update? They taxi off the runway after landing but will not taxi to terminal. Sometimes the plane will taxi after a continue taxi command but sometimes they just sit there. WJA1243 would not move after landing. The log is attached. Also, the sunrise was in the northwest. game.log

Use the ENTER FINAL RUNWAY XXX command. Using KLAX as an eximple, if you have an American Airlines plane arriving on 24R, issue the command AAL123 ENTER FINAL RUNWAY 25L. The aircraft will move over to 25L. You still will need to issue the "CLEARED TO LAND" command to that aircraft.

Thank you. It installs and runs with no problems.

Thank you. That's what I get for trying to find the problem well after my bedtime. I missed that thread. Thanks, again.

I play Tower 2011 nearly daily and have purchased all of the addons to date. I have a problem with the EGLL-Heathrow addon. I receive the following error each time Tower 2011 opens or closes: Please update MapConfig files in DataMenu folder! Set the GMT and the MapCode fields! Mapname: London_Heathrow_Airport I did change the install directory to the correct one. I removed EGLL with its uninstaller. All of the other aitports thru LGA work properly. What do I need to do to get EGLL up and running? Thank you.
-
That's great news! I always play Tower 2011 using the Schedule Creator.
-
Thank you! I was getting so frustrated as I got the same schedule every time even if I changed the start time. Now, the game is fun again. Does anybody have a rough flight frequency chart so I can pick game times that challenge me but not overwhelm me as I learn the game? Thanks, again.

Whenever I play this game, the game time just picks up the time where it was when I left the game last time. It does not set to the time I pick in the settings screen. If I pick 0400 hrs at PHL, it starts at PHL but at the the clock time from my last session, currently around 1100. Am I missing something or is this a known bug?
