  1. I think you may have F12 assigned somewhere and forgot about it then. Make sure the option "trap" is selected in TrackIR for the F12 key and that should fix it, now FSUIPC won't be able to see the key being pressed.
  2. Read post 2 again, excluding FSX from being scanned in realtime by your Anti Virus software will help. If you have no anti virus software then it must just be a slow PC/hard drive.
  3. LUA for dummies is best remedied with LINDA, its made just for folk like yourself who know practically nothing about LUA, basically someone has already done the hard work of building the scripts for you already and also provided you with a very simple way of assigning those scripted functions to your hardware buttons. http://forum.avsim.n...orum/424-linda/
  4. Try putting the FS folder tree into an exclusion in your Anti Virus software if you are using any. The PMDG NGX for example can cause long pauses (seconds long depending on how fast your PC and hard drives are) with some Anti Virus systems when the Autosave facility is enabled in FSUIPC, switching off autosave in FSUIPC is another way to prove if this is in fact what is causing your issue.
  5. I'm not making this up I assure you, see post number 10 in the thread below. http://forum.simflight.com/topic/67599-fsuipc-saitek-fsx-pro-flight-panels/page__p__436103__hl__+saitek%20+license__fromsearch__1#entry436103
  6. Pete will NOT support Saitek hardware directly until someone convinces them to pay Pete what they owe him in licensing fees, they have been illegally using FSUIPC without permission for years.
  7. It's even easier in LINDA, just use your mouse and left click and follow the instructions below in the image.
  8. Thats exactly what the example above does, assign a button in LINDA to that function you can see the name in the first line of the code and you will see it aligns the HDG bug with your current course without enabling or disabling HDG mode, or at least thats how it worked for me when I tested it last week.
  9. I don't think that is what the person is asking but the quickest way to get rid of gyro drift is to press D on the keyboard, it works the same as pressing B on the keyboard to set the current barometric pressure, but for gyro drift instead. Looking in LINDA they do the heading bug align trick in lua as shown below. function Autopilot_HDG_BUG_align () readVar = "2B00" val = ipc.readDBL(readVar) ipc.writeUW("07cc", val/360*65536)[/CODE] To Fatbird  if you aren't using LINDA already then you should be :D , its a wonderful expansion on FSUIPC and makes life so much easier when configuring your joysticks and other FS hardware. By the way LINDA is freeware too.
  10. No need to apologise Pete, at least you are now aware of the boards foibles.
  11. Thanks Pete I'll try it after dinner. One comment, when making additions to your posts could you please just make a completely new post rather than editing the last post you made, the reason I ask for this is that the forum software does not send an email notification to anyone following the thread if you just edit a previous post. I only found out about your later comments after following a link posted by Artem the developer of LINDA at AVSIM's forum 5 days later, lol. Thanks anyway.
  12. I've noticed with this latest build 4822 that in FS Control sorting of the drop down menus appear to be broken e.g. if I was looking for throttle1 cut I would highlight the drop down list then type "T" "H" and that would jump me to throttle in the list. Now when I do this is just shows "Takeoff assist arm set" and absolutely nothing else in the list at all as soon as I press "T", adding any further letters does nothing.
  13. To be fair to Pete there is absolutely no reason to not install at least FSX SP2, unless the OP has some FS9 aircraft he wants to use in FSX. SP2 broke the way window transparency worked for FS9 aircraft used in FSX when it was raining, so you couldn't see out the windows when it rained or was foggy, if I remember correctly that is the only reason I can think of for sticking with SP1. Surely there are fixes for or updates to these unsupported aircraft by now?
  14. I presume you are not keeping an eye on the updates page. http://forum.simflig...pdated-modules/ EDIT: I got Ninja'd by Pete. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ninja%27d
  15. It wasn't about me being glad about anything Orest, its about me letting Pete know that it wasn't a widespread issue, some information like this can be helpful when trying to track down bugs of this nature. As it turns out it looks like you have registry problems not FSUIPC problems, nice to here you finally worked out what was wrong.
  16. As I and a few others mentioned in the RXP forum months ago when the topic was first raised and I can repeat here again now, I still do not have a problem with that product even with the very latest interim build of FSUIPC as is available today (4812) in the downloads forum. I confirmed it by downloading and testing again just now.
  17. Not that its really relevant for the topic at hand but to answer your question its simply because Artem does not use or have any interest in FS2004 anymore. Artem made LINDA mainly for his own personal use and then expanded on its features at a later date when he was convinced by others to release it to the public, he has basically finished the project now and has moved on to other things.
  18. I think PMDG have problems with their email server as well, I have never received an email when a reply was made to a support ticket, I have always had to visit the support site again and check to see if a reply had been made, usually they have replied within 24 or so hours. Reading around the forums its seems to be a common problem, maybe there server is blacklisted for some reason.
  19. First update to 4.80+ then come back and let Pete know if the problem still exists.
  20. If you are thinking of doing this sometime in the near future do not update your iPad to software version 5.1 when its released in the next couple of weeks, if you do update beyond 5.01 you will not be able to jailbreak your iPad 1 or 2 anymore, until another jailbreak is released and these are never guaranteed, so hold onto them they are precious. You cannot normally downgrade to a jailbreakable software version either with Apple devices unless that device had previously been jailbroken and had some special authentication keys saved at the time. You really shouldn't worry about jailbreaking Apple devices it is rather simple to return them to an unjailbroken state without Apple ever knowing you have done so in the first place.
  21. You have to make the macros yourself and assign them individually for every aircraft you own (not all aircraft support macros anyway), FSUIPC cannot do it for you automatically, it has no clue what functions exist in your addon aircraft and it has no clue what switch or button you want to assign said function too. You only have to do these assignments once per aircraft type/developer etc, FSUIPC will automatically use those assignments again next time you use said aircraft, as long as you have set them up previously of course. Have a look in the manuals at the sections explaining PROFILES and how you assign them to the aircraft you own.
  22. LINDA is not abandonware, It is feature complete and Artem has moved onto other things, but it certainly isn't abandoned.
  23. Have you seen this thread maybe its an alternative idea, although I must admit when I tried it months ago in another aircraft it wasn't very reliable, I did try an early build though newer versions may be better.
  24. Well I've helped more than one person over at AVSIM by suggesting that they use a free email address when using the support ticket system because they some folk dont seem to get a responce with their ISP supplied email address, so it's the customers ISP that is blocking SM not the other way around as I suggested previously, in my defence I was in a rush when I replied last time. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/359317-anybody-from-simmarketplease-help/page__fromsearch__1 http://forum.avsim.net/topic/333865-sim-market-problem/
  25. Use a free email account like Gmail if you are having problems getting through via email, Simmarket seems to blackhole/filter a few of the big ISP's.
