  2. It simply means I think you haven't setup VSPE correctly. I sorry I don't have time to help at the moment I'm having a nightmare with my PC at the moment, first I had the water cooling pump fail and no sooner had I got that fixed than I find that my water cooled GTX580 has failed too.
  3. VRiSim and FSUIPC work fine in FSX through VSPE, I can't confirm that with FS9 though as I do not own FS9 anymore, (I only had an OEM version, I no longer have the hardware it was licensed for) VRiSim does work with the MCP1 and FS9 Pete so you could test it, if you have the time. VRiSim has a completely different install path so it won't mess up an install of SerialFP2 which is still needed for some older VRi hardware, both installs can coexist quite happily. My money is on VSPE not been setup properly as per your instructions.
  4. I don't think it's privilege levels Pete as I was effected by it a few months ago when I did a PC reinstall and I had forgotten to exclude my FSX folders. I run with UAC off and everything is installed outside of the program files folders. I think it's a combination of your encrypted dll plus the Flexnet licensing system used in the NGX that causes the slow down. It's not a problem though as it works perfectly if the folders are in an exclusion, it maybe worth mentioning something about it in your documentation about Autosave.
  5. If you are using an anti virus package on this FSX PC make sure the FSX folder is excluded from scanning, something in the NGX looks similar to a virus to some AV packages and this causes a pause when FSUIPC autosaves.
  6. See the post below to enable FSUIPC to see the X52 mode switch as individual assignable buttons. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/327150-saitek-x52-pro/
  7. I dare say if Pete was a young whipper snapper he would think about doing a complete overhaul of the GUI system used in FSUIPC, but he isn't and I am eternally grateful that he spends what should be his retirement years helping advance my flight sim hobby.
  8. See the "list of FSX Controls" document located in the Modules/FSUIPC Documents/ folder. All the controls with Alternator in the name have Toggle prefixed to them, its probably why you missed them in the drop down lists. More often than not if you are struggling to find a command it is probably prefixed with Toggle as that is the only way FS lets the control be actioned i.e. there is no specific on and off command unfortunately. 9. The version 4.x series is for FSX only, version 3.x is for FS9 only. The latest updates are always available in the download links sub forum in the "updated modules" post which you will find a link to below. Bookmark it. http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66139-updated-modules/
  10. SP2 or Acceleration is fine, even SP1 is OK but it's recommended for best compatibility with most third party addons to use SP2/Acceleration.
  11. FSX only unfortunately, and it does not deal with axes either, only buttons.

  13. In FSUIPC you need to assign the parameter to both the press and release function for each button on the CDU2, its a minor irritation in the way VRinsight make their hardware function. Edit: Pete beat me to it.
  14. That translates to "This is called passing the buck", if PMDG are saying that Pete is passing the buck then they are being the biggest hypocrites on the planet.
  15. That depends on the aircraft, the default baron you will see the actual small trim tab on the rudder move when you turn the rudder trim wheel. A lot of other aircraft you will not see anything at all because the dev hasn't bothered to tie an animation to the rudder trim. The best way to reliably test it is to actually fly the aircraft and try it.
  16. Both work fine, I use a pot that is included on my VRInsight MS-Panel and I could use an encoder or a couple of switches too, none of them will cause problems for your rudder pedals either. Depending on the pot you may need to add a slope to it in FSUIPC to make it more fine grain around it's centre.
  17. Hi Desmond, Sorry I do not have any PFC gear at all, it's a bit pricey for me. Pete uses some PFC gear I beleive he may be able to help as he has the NGX too.
  18. Make sure you are running AirHauler with the same privilege level as FS, i.e. both programs must be "run as administrator" or both not run as administrator.
  19. Many addon aircraft made in the last two years will not even install if you don't have SP2 installed, not only that the performance increase you will get out of FSX as a result of installing SP2 is enough of a reason to install it alone.
  20. The name and email address must also be entered exactly the same way as they were when you purchased back in 2006. If you try entering your current email address if different it is no good, you also do not need access to the old email address it's just used as an added way of uniquely identifying you.
  21. Someone made a LUA script over at the AVSIM forums to allow frequency changing via the number pad on a keyboard, the username of the creator was DAZZ (I think) that should be enough info to allow you to find the post and script, that should be adaptable for your needs I would have thought.
  22. You need to install the interim update that can only be downloaded here in the forum from the download links sub forum > updated modules thread. There is a link below to take you there. http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66139-updated-modules/page__pid__417029#entry417029 At the time of writing this post it is version 4.726
  23. I remember reading a post with a request like this the other day so it definitely was here at some point, I seem to remember you saying you had a cockpit at home and you shared it with your children at times and that you wanted to make the process of loading different stand alone external exe gauges simpler and dependent on which aircraft you were loading up in FS.
