  1. The fact that it varies with no change other than a simple restart does indicate some other factor involved. See the message before yours for a user with no problems at all. And my case is the other extreme -- the 747 hangs P3D4 with a black screen no matter whether FSUIPC is installed or not! Well, I can't even try that here as the 747 hangs P3D4 on first load. But Simconnect.cfg is only ever used or needed for a Networked connection to SimConnect on the P3D PC. The file used locally is Simconnect.xml, butt the default settings for that are fine and suite all local applications and only needs modifying for remote use. Everything else using SimConnect is running fine. Anyway, it is obvious to me now that this is NOT the place for reports about PMDG problems -- they need to be posted to PMDG's Support as only they can do anything with them. Pete
  2. There was an error in the link. You tested with 5.101, not 5.101a. Please try FSUIPC5101a_TEST.zip, which has yet more logging, and show me the log again. Really? Are you SURE it is the latest version of FSUIPC4, i.e. 4.967? Because that should have IDENTICAL results as FSUIPC 5.10. People are always saying the y have the "latest version" without actually checking. They really mean "the latest version I downloaded". It would help if thev VERSUION NUMBER were always given. That is what it is for, Sorry, the link was in error. See above. Please try again. Pete
  3. FSUIPC and its Installer have allowed a different Email address for WideFS for a long long time. There is no problem. What Thomasv refers to is the Name. It is even now possible to have a different Name for WideFS as well, but only by editing the KEY file itself. Pete
  4. There are ni best figures to suitb everyone, or even to suit all situations. You have to expriment. This is made easier because you can edit the file whilt P3D is running and adjust the values up or down a little. You've left them all at the middle line, 50%, which is the most likely not to be suitable for any one, but set like that to give a good starting point for raising and lowering them! You mean P3D4 is crashing? Do you have any crash details? You should send them to L-M''s Support Forum! Phew. Maybe the aircraft in that area are spread out with all those other airports in the area. With a limit of 120 and the slider at 40% you aren't getting a large variety of airlines in any case. If you are loading a Plan in P3D then set the PlannedAirportsPreference to a much lower value, so that it doesn't remove so many aircraft from your departure and landing airports. As for the others, you need to experiemnt. I still am! It's different again in P3D4 to FSX-SE and P3D3, which I was using before, because P3D4 seems much more lenient towards more Traffic than either of those. I can have the slider and limit vlaues a lot higher. Pete
  5. It sounds like those Apps are deliberately checking for the version of FS or P3D and do not like P3D4 because the version number is too high. Do their authors have a support forum or anything? Pete
  6. I still have no FSUIPC5.LOG or FSUIPC5.INI file! The Windows crasgh is NOT in FSUIPC at all. What does, where? In the Modules folder, next to FSUIPC5.DLL. You may see it as "configuration details" if you have Windows set to hide filetypes from you. If there is no INI file then you have never yet run FSUIPC, registered or unregistered. No, that is the Install log as it clearly says. The FSUIPC5.LOG is the run-time log, next to fSUIPC5.DLL in the Modules folder. It records what FSUIPC5 is doing when it is running. It may be cabelled as a Text file if you have Windows set to hide filetypes from you. If theree is no FSUIPC5.LOG file there then, again, FSUIPC5 has not been run, registered or unregistered. I'm afraid I have no useful information so far. Pete
  7. No. I need the crash details -- the place it crashed at, what sort of error it is, and so on. You get that from Windows Event Manager, Application Logs. You can cut and paste the data from that. No need dfor a picture. The one you just posted simply tells me what you told me. Oh, and I also need the FSUIPC5.LOG file, as far as it got, from the P3D Modules folder, and your FSUIPC5.INI file. Pete
  8. So it all runs fine on your system? Please send full details, including your system details, to PMDG. I doubt many are "complaining" that it all works fine! :-) PMDG have sent me a v3 747 to test with, but when I load it, no matter whether FSUIPC is registered or not, or even installed, P3D4 hangs with a black screen, no menu, no progress bar, no nothing! So as you said, something else must be going on! Pete
  9. This, I don't understand. Why would timing differences affect talking to FSUIPC? There's always been "timing differences" in the Inter-Process Communications. Different versions of FSUIPC3/4, different loads on FS, different loads on the PC itself. How could "timing differences" stop the interface working for you? Is it more related to the Lua plug-ins than the IPC interface? Pete
  10. I'm not sure I understand. What do you need 64-bit for? Are you converting LINDA EXE to 64-bit? Why? I think 11 was earmarked for the 64-bit version of FSX-SE, which I suppose is now FSW. But I don't recall offhand. I'm not planning to look at FSW yet, if at all. We'll see how it pans out. Pete
  11. There's no point in posting that. I need the Windows crash details and the FSUIPC5.LOG file! Pete
  12. So, it is related to INI file settings or some other actions only happening when FSUIPC is registered? I hope PMDG can fix it -- I don't have their code source to doebug their aircraft. Are you contradicting your previous post? If you removed the KEY file then you'd have to restart P3D4 in any case to do the previous test. So what's the difference? Pete
  13. Yes. Please go read the sales pge on SimMarket. There is a discount until August. Pete
  14. There IS a discount! An early buyer's discount! Pete
  15. Yes. In fact version 5.101 now in the Download Links subforum should support the new PFC modules, but I have some testing to do first over the next few days. It will be called PFChid64.dll. Pete
  16. Everything to do with FSUIPC is in the P3D Modules folder, and unless you opted to store Profiles is separate files, it's all in the FSUIPC4.INI file. There's may also be lua plugins (.lua types) and macro files (.mcro files). Just copy those three types of files over from the FSUIPC4 Modules folder to the FSUIPC5 Modules folder and rename FSUIPC4.INI to FSUIPC5.INI. That's it. If you have a Profiles folder in the FSUIPC4 Modules folder, copy that entire folder across too, with the same name. Pete
  17. Apologies. The link was in error. Please try it again -- it pointed to 5.101 not 5.101a! Thanks Pete
  18. Apologies. The link was in error. Please try this again -- it pointed to 5.101 not 5.101a! FSUIPC5101a_TEST.zip Thanks Pete Pete
  19. Did you see this message, posted TWICE, earlier? Please try FSUIPC5101a_TEST.zip, which has yet more logging, and show me the log again. Pete
  20. There's an early buyers' discount instead. It almost amounts to the same thing as most early buyers will be existing users. And it's a far cleaner and clearer system, avoiding problems of IDs and things when folks have changed emails and/or names. And after all FSUIPC4 was released in 2006 and there have been no upgrade charges all that time despite continual development. Pete
  21. Please try FSUIPC5101a_TEST.zip, which has yet more logging, and show me the log again. Pete
  22. Please try FSUIPC5101a_TEST.zip, which has yet more logging, and show me the log again. Pete
  23. Did you see this message, earlier? Please try FSUIPC5101a_TEST.zip, which has yet more logging, and show me the log again. Pete
  24. I don't know, but each file should be less than that in any case, and you can always insert the text from the files into the message using the <> buton above the edit area. Or even ZIP them. As they are all text files they ZIP down really small! Pete
  25. Please try FSUIPC5101a_TEST.zip, which has yet more logging, and show me the log again. Pete
