  1. Hi, FE is a texture loader. You run it one time before starting FS04 and then close it down. Unless you are short on hard disk space what would be the point? Scenery folders can be stored anywhere right now and do not need WideFS. All you do is map their location in the FS04 Library screen. You have WideFS but you may be confused as to what it does or if you even need it. It allows programs that run continuously with FS04 to be run over a network. Does this fit your understanding?
  2. Hi, Pete will confirm this or not, but no there is no 3 program limit or any limit at all. The only thing in the way I see is the speed of your network.
  3. Hi, Just download and install the latest version and copy and paste the FSUIPC.dll into your Modules folder. Your purchased keys are still valid and will be for all 3.XX versions.
  4. Use Crrl/C and then click on the FS04 icon on your desktop. No, there is no way like in FS02. That is why we cannot update cloud textures while FS04 is running. The best you can do is refresh the initially loaded textures. Many have suggested this for FSX!
  5. Hi Mike, Open the zip file and just copy and paste the FSUIPC.dll into your Modules folder. Of course answer Yes to the replace question. Then the whole zip folder can be deleted.
  6. Hi, If the error message is the same then the solution is the same: 1. Open your FS9.cfg file 2. See if there is a [OLD MODULES] section. 3. If not add one and then the line XXXXX.dll=1 where XXXXX stands for the exact name of the file.
  7. Hi, No, AS runs outside of FS04. That is why AS needs FSUIPC!
  8. Hi, FSUIPC.dll is automatically loaded everytime you start FS. You cannot "turn it off". Yes, you can remove it from the Modules folder, but then the other programs that require FSUIPC will not work.
  9. Hi, Can't help on the first part, but the second answer is that FSUIPC allows 3rd party programs, like Active Sky, a way to interface and communicate with FS04.
  10. Hi, After downloading FSUIPC did you open the zip folder and just copy and paste the FSUIPC.dll into your Modules folder? Or did you copy and paste the zip folder itself? If you uninstall Ready for Pushback do things work correctly?
  11. Hi, I did a Google search of your error and fix looks to be to copy and paste that .dll from the FS CD to the Modules folder.
  12. Hi, 1. Download and install V3.53. That is the only supported version. 2. What are the details of the error message? 3. What menu are you clicking on to register what?
  13. I don't think WideFS will do this, but this document may help: http://www.schiratti.com/files/dowson/FSUIPC_SDK.zip
  14. Did you follow the ReadMe on how to change the communications port to the USB port?
  15. Hi, The difference you are seeing is the difference between true wind direction and magnetic wind direction.
  16. Ron, To see the lights you must have see self=1 in the FS9.cfg. I am not sure where this is in FS04 itself.
  17. Hi, Maybe not buy, but at least install the latest version of FSUIPC. For that go here: http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html You will download a zip file. Open that file and copy just the FSUIPC.dll and paste it into your FS04/Modules folder. If asked to overwrite answer Yes. Then you should be good to go. FYI, typing in ALL CAPS in a forum amounts to screaming. Please turn off the caps lock! Edit: Sorry for almost the double post!
  18. Hi, Download the latest version from here: http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html Open the zip file and copy and paste just the FSUIPC.dll into your FS04/Modules folder.
  19. Hi All, The suggestion I made today at AVSIM is to try with a default plane and a default panel.
  20. Hi, Pretty sure I asked this at AVSIM, but I'll ask here also: What does the Shift/Z winds show in FS04?
  21. Hi, This thread may help! http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?t=45967
  22. Hi Peter, We supply a version of FSUIPC.dll but we do not install it! Yes, there is a copy in the ASV folder, but the thing to remember is that only the FSUIPC.dll that is active is in the Modules folder. You can have 10 FSUIPC.dlls anywhere else in FS and it will not matter, only the one in the Modules folder is active. 1. Only one in the Modules folder. 2. Not that I know of. 3. Up to you.
  23. Hi, Usually it is a guage that causes this message. Might want to see if there is a common guage between the planes or panels.
