  1. Many times an .ini file shows as a file with some orange gears on it.
  2. Hi, Make sure you are logged in on your computer As Administrator. Also make sure you can delete files under the Windows directory.
  3. Hi, You can download unregistered FSUIPC from here: http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html The manual will be a part of the .zip file. Seeing that must of your questions have to do with WideView, the best place for support is going to be through them.
  4. Hi, Weather will never be synced with WideView because you will be running multiple copies of FS and there is some randomness programmed into FS. The general conditions will be the same, but things like clouds will be different. You do not need FSUIPC or WideFS for this. Also, FSUIPC and WideFS have nothing for sending video data out, so no help there.
  5. Hi, It depends on what you want to do with the computers on your network with FS. You describe those things and we can then help you decide what you might need. Right now you need nothing!
  6. Hi, Does FSMAP work with FSX? You have a connection, but nothing is running on your client that needs FSUIPC, so the connection shuts down. Also, make sure your network name is exactly the same on both machines.
  7. Hi, Do you have a Add-on menu in FSX and does FSUIPC show up on it? Thanks,
  8. I can't speak for your other add-ons but Active Sky X only uses SimConnect from Microsoft.
  9. Hi, It is possible that your BAV software needs to be updated.
  10. Hi Rick, I think we mis-understood each other. I thought we were talking about the "FS Connected" message not whether FS is "ready to fly". Thanks!
  11. Hi, You need to purchase new keys for both FSUIPC and WideFS for FSX, if you require those features.
  12. Copy and paste your data into FSUIPC.
  13. Hi, Try running FSX in Windowed Mode.
  14. Hi, Make sure the Workgroup names are the same on the 2 computers.
  15. Hi, This is not a FSUIPC issue, but a radar contact question. Their forum is over at AVSIM.
  16. Hi, Pete is away for 8 more days. You might be better off posting in a FS04 forum, asking for someone to email you the .dll file.
  17. Hi, Yes, the information must be the same. I believe that SimMarket can do that for you. If not, you will need to wait until Pete returns after March 24th.
  18. Hi, If you click on Details of the error report, what does that window say?
  19. Hi, It looks like it is SimConnect causing this, not FSUIPC. Might want to uninstall and reinstall any SPs you have installed for FSX.
  20. Hi, There is just one file to install for FSUIPC, the FSUIPC.dll file. You download the file and place it in your Modules folder in FS04. To update the version, you download that version and move the FSUIPC.dll into that same folder. When asked if you wish to over-write, you answer OK. The key you purchase is valid for all 3.XX versions, but it is always best to use the latest, supported version. There is no need to remove an older version. I see that Pete posted while I was typing this, but I will post it anyway!
  21. Hi, Are you the same user that has been writing to me about this situation? I just want to know if we have one user or two users with this problem.
  22. Hi Al, 3 mile visibility is pretty good, so now I wonder if it is the HZ code. You are good at generating METARs so go and generate some HZ METARs and see if you can reproduce this. Of course, this is when you have a chance! Thanks,
