Nyerges Design-Real Color KLAS,

The colors for the MD83/M83 are messed up at KLAS. I downloaded the file again to see if it was something that had already been fixed, but it was not.

lots of problems for a MD83 (aka, MD80 & DC9) ... the engines were installed incorrectly!  ;-)

Here is a shot of an Allegiant MD83 from my session today at KLAS .... all is fine.  Perhaps it is your Real Traffic not your Real Color KLAS that is the cause of your mutant aircraft?

As Dave noted, that is not an MD83. Can you please tell us if you are using standard Real Traffic or if you made some modifications to it?

Is that definately a MD83?  The M80 works fine for me but not the MD83. Not meant as an insult, just want to be sure I'm not commenting on a problem that does not exist.

I went back in the game and LAS and LAX both use Allegient/AAY.

Here is the schedule, I know you don't support custom schedules but I am talking about a plane in the TexturePack that is not right, and it should work:

Edited to add logfile which to my limited knowledge shows it loading a Default plane rather than MD83:

the paint is correct ... the model is not correct.  relative size makes me think the model is actually a A321 or 757?

If you notice the paint and jet are different in KLAS from the one loaded in KLAX.

This is a Real Traffic issue. There is no MD83 prefab in airplanes_pack1.manifest. This is causing the livery wrapping issue. Nyerges Design needs to add the MD83 into RT.

@winsaudiare you sure that is an MD83? What version of RT are you running?

I was unaware of the airplanes_pack1.manifest connection.  I thought is just used the manifests that came with each airport.  But that is why I addressed the issue to Nyerges Design and not to Feelthere, was I incorrect in doing that.  I appreciate Feelthere stepping in to help, and I appreciate your help.  I guess if I do a LAS schedule that has MD83, I'll just use an MD80. Thanks for the info

You did right, it is definitely a @nyergesdesign issue. 

The MD83 is in the RT schedule for KLAS, so it should have a prefab. Hopefully, it will get added soon.

Apologies, but my view of the real world took over and I didn't look at the RT package closely enough.  

"MD-80" is not a specific aircraft, it is an umbrella series title covering MD-81, MD-82, MD-83, MD-87, and MD-88 aircraft types.  Allegiant have 32x MD-83 and 5x MD-88. So I mistakenly assumed the Allegiant aircraft at KLAS were MD-83, and only after looking closely at the RT schedule did I see that the majority are slated as "MD-80" and just 3 as "MD-83".  Sorry for the red herring. My screen grab above is of an MD-83 but in RT it is tagged as an MD-80.

My view is that Nyerges Design should remove the incorrect MD-80 tags and replace them with appropriate MD-83 or MD-88 tags, in addition to fixing the missing/incorrect MD-83 baseline structure.

An interim quick fix is to edit the following 3 lines in the klas_schedule file:

From:

SBN, LAS, M83, G4,  401, 22:33, 12:00, 1, G4

SBN, LAS, M83, G4, 9410, 20:47, 12:00, 1, G4

LAS, SBN, M83, G4, 9406, 12:00, 14:37, 1, G4

To:

SBN, LAS, M80, G4,  401, 22:33, 12:00, 1, G4

SBN, LAS, M80, G4, 9410, 20:47, 12:00, 1, G4

LAS, SBN, M80, G4, 9406, 12:00, 14:37, 1, G4

This will give pleasing visual results but I would still want ND to fix the issue properly as per my earlier post.
