Registration seems expired in latest key?
John Dowson replied to Joe Nekrasz's topic in FSUIPC7 MSFS
But you do not have to register. If you click the Register button it will say its invalid. Just click Skip. The installer will not valid time-limited licenses, and the beta installer installs the key file anyway so you can skip this process. Try the attached key file, although it should be the same as the one you have: FSUIPC7.key If you are still having issues, you can post your install log files as well as your FSUIPC7.log file. -

I really don't understand this. I don't think I have never issued a key with such an expiration date. Where did you see this? The key file you quoted shows 08/11/2020 - 8th November not September. That's even stranger? Did you install under a folder that requires admin permissions (e.g. Program Files)? And why would it access a different key file (with a different expiry date) when running as admin? FSUIPC7 only checks the FSUIPC7.key file in the same location as the FSUIPC7.exe, which has an expiry of 8th November, as your initial post shows. -
Not really, but FSUIPC could be part of a solution to accomplish this. But FSUIPC only runs on the same machine as the FS, to enable network capabilities you would need to add WideClient into the mix. This would then allow you to run FSUIPC clients on a remote PC, or use controllerss attached there, as well as run lua scripts, etc. For displaying on a second PC though you will need WideView - or something similar. I don't know if there is a working version yet for MSFS, you would have to check, You cam dowmload and try FSUIPC7 (for MSFS) - check the Announcements sub-forum for the link. It currently coms with a time-limited license, valid until 8th November. Documentation is also included, but some of that is a bit out of date (currently being updated). Note that for FSUIPC7, I plan to make this runnable on a client PC at some stage, but this functionality is currently unavailable (in the beta), and won't be ready for the initial launch. John

For folks having issues, please try the following: - first, manually run the uninstaller (located in the FSUIPC7 installation folder) - then re-run the installer John

Of course - it works the same way for everyone!

Then you are not using the latest installer. What is the build date of the FSUIPC7 version you are using? If its not 30/10/2020 then you need to update - check your FSUIPC7.log file, or the Help -> About dialog. Also, when downloading, maybe your browser is giving you a cached/older copy of the installer, so try clearing your cache. I have checked all 4 available downloadable files and they are all correct. Well, that's a matter of opinion. And it wasn't one window four tabs, it was one window with MANY tabs, and it was difficult to determine which tab you were actually on. It was implemented like this as it was in a dll (embedded in the FS) and so there was only FS menu entry to open FSUIPC. I much prefer the new layout! I did initially duplicate the UI and the FSUIPC main window was a tabbed window, equivalent to the old FSUIPC. However, I didn't like this and so re-organised to make the separate facilities available from the different menu items. A lot clearer and cleaner IMHO. This also leave the main window free, where I plan to implement a user-defined "button" window, as currently provided by WideClient. This also becomes even more useful when I update to allow FSUIPC7 to run on a client PC, providing WideClient-light functionality (i.e. it will use its own offset area and so no communication to any FSUIPC7 running on the FS machine). Hi Chris, no, you are not alone. The time-limited license previously provided expired on the 31st October. You need to download the latest installer and re-install, as this includes an updated time-limited license valid until 8th November. John
-
No. As FSUIPC7 is now a stand-alone application (an exe rather than a dll), it contains separate panels for the functionality provided. Why don't you just download and take a look?

The registration is good up until 8th November. Did you actually try it? Note that, as with the previous key/installer, the installer will not validate a time limited licence. As you the installer installs the key file, you can Skip the registration. -
The key file you are using has expired. You need to download the latest release and re-install using that. John

Can you also attach your FSUIPC7.ini file please. What are you starting in your ipcInit.lua? Maybe try without that. Also, if you are still using AxisScanOnSimConnectOpen, then please try without that. John

I suspect that its the control that you are sending is not working in your selected aircraft. There are many controls that don't work, especially for the G1000. But as you are using LINDA, you need LINDA support. I don't use LINDA and can't help with that, sorry.

The price for FSUIPC7 will be 24.99euros (+ applicable tax) or equivalent. There will be an automatic discount of 10euros for FSUIPC5 and FSUIPC6 license holders. No discount for earlier/32bit versions I'm afraid.

The license/key file previously included expired yesterday. The latest installer extends the beta license until 8th November.

The image you posted shows you are using an unregistered version of FSUIPC7 (no Assignments menu entry). Did you install the the key file? Re-run the installer and make sure that you select to install the provided key file, and skip registration. John

You posted in the wrong forum - I have moved your post. No you haven' t as it currently not for sale. To use WideFS with FSUIPC7-beta, you have to use the instructions provided in the beta release note. Your question has also been asked before (yesterday) - please check the forum for similar questions before posting. See

problem with newest version FSUIPC 4.975a
John Dowson replied to georgefitz's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
Can you attach your .log and .ini files and I'll take a look. It you have upgraded to windows 10 it is more than likely that you joysticjk ids and/or GUIDs have changed. Should be easy to manually update them, especially if you are using the "JoyLetters" facility. -
That will be the last release with a key file included, so wasn't worth updating the manual. The same text should have been in the provided README.txt file, but looks like I prematurely removed it.

You cannot currently use the installer to validate your widefs license as the time-limited FSUIPC7 license cant be validated. You have to follow the instructions in the announcement while still in beta:

Got it working now, after a few attempts. Seems like the cloud syncing was being turned on again and replacing the deleted files, causing the CTD. Looks like the files have now gone from the cloud now so no CTD. The MSFS controllers page shows my devices, but now with no profile assigned at all. My keyboard now also has no profile, and I only have the 'DEFAULT' profile for the mouse. And clicking on any device still shows the mouse assignments!
-
I found them under ...\Steam\userdata\<my steam id>\241100\remote following the advice in this post: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/ctd-after-latest-update-update-5/309576/260. I also disabled Steam Cloud synchronisation, as also advised in that post. However, this does not work for me and I still get a CTD if I have my devices connected or when I connect my devices.
-
I'm getting a CTD when starting with my devices connected, and also when re-connecting them. I only have "empty" "input profiles", except for keyboard and mouse. This is interesting. Could you let me know the location of these (and if you are using Steam or MS Store version) and I'll see if this works for me. Thanks, John
